This Magical Mystery Ride
Blaine's weight gain isn't only from the international cuisine, and too many cronuts. This is a late reaction fic for the Tested episode. No spoilers beyond that point. Also, there are a couple of allusions to the Bash episode. This is mpreg, where Blaine is the pregnant one. If that is not your thing, run now and forget you ever saw this.

Special thanks to Mary on tumblr for looking this over for me.
Blaines phone buzzed in his pocket as he, Kurt, Sam, and Artie were walking out of their cafe, as they had come to think of the place.
The number was an unknown, bringing back memories of a similar call a few weeks back, something Blaine never wanted to experience again, to be honest. The fear, the worry. But Kurt was here with him now, laughing at whatever weird impression Sam was doing, so Blaine knew he was safe, not unconscious, and bleeding in some back alley.
With his thoughts racing, Blaine answered the call. The lady on the other end, was a nurse from the clinic he and the guys had all gone to to get tested. She said the doctor would like to see Blaine and his partner, "At your earliest convenience," to discuss the results of one of his tests.
He wasnt sure how long he stood there, rooted in place after saying they could be there within thirty minutes, but Kurt, Sam, and Artie were all standing in front of him, now, worried expressions on all their faces.
"Blaine? Honey? Are you okay?"
"Dude, you look like you just saw a ghost or something... you didnt, did you?" Sam said, looking around nervously and trying to hide behind Arties chair.
"Blaine-"
Blaine waved his phone a little, "Th-that was the clinic. They want me, want us, to come in as soon as possible. To... to discuss the results of one of my tests."
There was a lot of talking around him after his statement, but all Blaine could hear, were his own thoughts, what if he had something worse than what Artie had? What if he had something incurable? Oh god, what if he gave whatever he has to Kurt? What if, what if, what if-?"
"Blaine? Blaine, breathe honey, please!"
"Kurt? Oh god, Kurt, I - I - I..."
"Shh, its okay, sweetie, just breathe. Well go see what the doctor says and go from there, okay? Okay?"
Blaine nodded, letting Kurt slip an arm around his waist and guide him to the taxi that Sam and Artie had managed to flag down.
Silence filled the cab as Kurt gave the address of the clinic to the driver, before settling back into his seat, holding Blaine close.

"How long have they been back there?"
Artie looked at his watch, "About fifteen minutes."
Sam opened his mouth to say something else, but then Kurt walked back into the waiting area, except, no, Kurt was guided out to the waiting area,
Blaine sitting him down in the nearest empty seat, before going back to talk to the nurse.
Kurt just sat in his seat, staring straight ahead, eyes wide, mouth moving, but no sound coming out.
"Kurt?" Nothing. No change.
"Um, Blaine? Youre not dying are you? Because whatever the doctor said to you, seems to have broken Kurt."
"Im fine, Sam, Kurts just in shock right now, hell be okay in a little while."
"What? Blaine! If youre okay, why is Kurt in shock?"
"Hes in shock because hes going to be a dad in a few months. Well, we both are."
"Say what?"
"Dude! You knocked Kurt up?"
"No, Sam; Kurt knocked me up. Im pregnant.
Before you say anything, weve been exclusive since we got back together, and we both thought that, since my tests always came back negative, I wasnt a carrier. Guess they were all false negatives."

Getting Kurt back to the loft was an ordeal, he didnt seem capable of moving on his own, Blaine or Sam had to guide him. Eventually Artie said to put Kurt on his lap, and Sam pushed them to the subway, Blaine walking behind them, visions of curly-haired, miniature Kurts dancing in his head.
Once they made it back to the loft, they were met with another surprise, in the form of Burt and Carole.
At first, none of the guys noticed Burt and Carole, sitting at the table with Rachel and Mercedes. They were all too focused on getting through the door, and moving a still dazed, practically catatonic Kurt, onto the couch.
It wasnt until Burts booming, worried voice startled them, to attention.
"What the hell is wrong with my kid now? Do we have to move up here to make sure you all stop throwing yourselves into dangerous situations!"
"Burt!" Blaine squeaked as he spun around to see his future father in-law glaring at all of them, "I - I - I think I need to sit down."
"Burt, honey, please calm down, youre scaring them, and thats not going to help us get answers any quicker." Carole stood up then, pushing Burt back into his seat, then turned to look at Blaine.
Before she could say anything, Blaine started talking again, one hand resting protectively on his stomach.
"I know it doesnt look like it right now, but nothing is wrong with Kurt. We... we just received some very unexpected news just now, and hes still trying to... process it, thats all."
"What unexpected news? What could possibly be so shocking that he looks like... like... huh."
Burt looked back and forth between Kurt and Blaine for a moment, taking in Kurts fish-out of water routine, and the way Blaines hand rested on his stomach. Burt took his hat off and rubbed his head, "Well, hell, kid."
Burt was almost as shocked as Kurt, but he took the news fairly well.
Carole started crying and fussing over Blaine, saying that she knew she should probably be a little more upset that they are having a baby when Kurt is barely out of his teens and Blaine is technically still a teenager, but all she feels is excitement at the chance to be someones grandma.
It isnt until someone asks how far along Blaine is that Kurt snaps out of his daze.
"Well, the clinic doesnt have the right equipment to check for sure, I have an appointment with an OB GYN tomorrow, but based on the fact that Im already starting to show, I figure Im three or four months along; unless theres more than one in there, but-"
Kurts voice, pitched much higher than usual in panic, interrupted Blaine, "What do you mean more than one? Do twins run in your family? Oh my God! Blaine!"

In the end, everything worked out just fine. Blaine did not have twins, and his pregnancy progressed fairly smoothly, even after Kurt started having nightmares that he refused to discuss with anyone other than Santana.
Burt and Carole, as well as Blaines parents helped the boys when they found a small, two bedroom apartment in a less dangerous neighborhood. Even Cooper turned up to help with the move, but he ended up being more of a hinderance when he tried to give Rachel pointers on how to improve her performance of Fanny Brice.
Blaine was able to keep attending the less strenuous classes at NYADA, and during the summer break, in mid June, Blaine and Kurt welcomed their beautiful baby into the world, a healthy, 7lb baby girl, Fiona Elizabeth Anderson-Hummel.
