"Blaine, honey, could you pass the loaf of bread?" Kurt said as he grabbed peanut butter from the cupboard.
Blaine looked up from his newspaper and coffee to look at his husband over the tops of his glasses. Kurt was in the kitchen making lunches and taking hasty sips of his own coffee and his got ready for the day.
"Do you need a hand?" Blaine asked as he scratched his arm.
"Yes. Pass the bread." Kurt smiled at him, teasingly.
Blaine laughed and grabbed the loaf from pantry. He held it in his hands as Kurt made an impatient noise.
"What do you say?" Blaine teased.
Kurt put a hand on his hip. "Oh for the love of-" he started, but was interrupted by a small voice coming from door to the kitchen.
"Please, Papa. You have to say please." Toronto said as he walked into the kitchen and climbed into his seat by Blaine's.
Blaine walked over to Kurt and set the loaf of bread down on the counter beside him before pulling Kurt into a kiss.
Kurt sighed before he remembered he was busy. Pushing Blaine away and smiling, Kurt looked to Toronto for the first time.
"Oh, baby! What are you wearing?" Kurt said as he picked Toronto up from under the arms and held him up.
"My lion costume." Toronto said as if it were the most obvious thing. Blaine kind of had to agree, it was quite obvious what he was wearing.
"You can't wear your halloween costume on your first day of preschool." Kurt said as he started walking towards Toronto's room. Blaine followed quietly behind them. Kurt undressed their son and began redressing him in a pair of jeans, and a white long sleeve with a fake vest and bowtie sewn into the fabric. Blaine smiled as he held out his phone to take a quick picture.
Blaine set the picture of his husband and son as his background picture. They were the only two to ever be on his screensaver, same with Kurt's phone.
Blaine walked back into the kitchen, chugged the last few sips of his coffee and then began making a peanut butter sandwich for Toronto. Kurt got sidetracked trying to find Tor's new shoes that Blaine had a lunch packed for all three of them by the time Kurt and Toronto came back into the kitchen. Kurt sighed gratefully as he kissed Blaine's cheek.
"Is Rachel still coming over tonight with Josh?" Blaine asked as Kurt started packing Tor's (fashionable, designed by Hummel) backpack.
"As far as I know. Finn wanted to come too but I think he's got fantasy football or something and Rachel said he could go."
Blaine chuckled. "Okay, well, I'll drive Tor if you want."
Kurt put Toronto in his jacket and made a grateful noise. "You're so sweet when you try."
"Hey! I try all the time!" Blaine protested.
"Bye Papa." Toronto said as he hugged Kurt's shoulders.
"Bye sweetie. I'll see you later, okay? Dad's going to pick you up after preschool and I'll see you when I get home from work, okay?"
"Okay, Papa. I love you." Blaine picked up Tor and started walking into the hallway of their New York apartment.
"I'll see you later. I love you!" Kurt called as Blaine and Tor walked out the door.
"I love you too, baby." Blaine turned to look at his husband. "Forever?"
"Always." He replied. Blaine smiled and closed the door, but not before blowing him a kiss.
