Author's Notes: A friend of mine (followingaranebow on Tumblr) asked me to write a drabble about Klaine with the prompt 'winter'. Excuse the horrible title. XD
At first, Kurt had been wary when Blaine suggested they visit Dalton the weekend before Christmas break started. Things had just settled down from the whole Sebastian disaster (and what came after, christ) and he knew that if he caught a glimpse of the little home wrecker, he’d give him another bruise to match the one turning a nasty sludge color under his left eye. In the end, it was Jeff and Nick’s pleading over the phone that convinced him to cave. Kurt hadn’t been part of the group long, but the Warblers apparently still remembered and missed him as much as Blaine. He was still nervous during the car ride over, until Blaine explained that Sebastian wasn’t a boarder and would most likely be spending his free time at home. Small mercies, Kurt thought as they pulled into the Dalton parking lot.

The sight that greeted them was surprising, to say the least. A large pack of boys (including several Warblers) were standing in the middle of the lot, forcing Blaine to slam on the brakes. They were all dressed appropriately for cold weather - not by Kurt’s standards, of course, but none of them would freeze - and had snowballs clutched in their gloved hands. Blaine rolled the window down after sharing a wide-eyed look with his boyfriend.

“If you mess up my car, I’m telling the headmaster that you've all stolen from his alcohol stash!”

“We’re not going to do anything to your car,” Jeff promised, twirling his snowball. “You two have ten seconds to find a hiding spot.”

“He’s not serious?” Kurt asked, glancing down at his black designer winter coat.

“I’m afraid so,” Blaine answered solemnly with just the slightest hint of mischief shining in his eyes. He laced his fingers with Kurt’s. “Don’t worry, though. I’ll protect you.”
End Notes: I might do something else with this later, but I doubt it.
