“I want to recant my audition.”
“What?” All three judges looked up, surprised by Blaine’s sudden entrance to their meeting with Rachel.
“What – recant your audition? Blaine, why? You were fantastic!”
“Because I would rather not be in a play run by hypocrites.” Their confusion was evident, but only for a moment as Blaine went on. “Kurt told me about his second audition.”
Beiste bit her lip, “Blaine. Kurt’s a great performer, there’s no denying that. But he’s not right for the role of Tony.”
“Yeah, if you’re giving up the part because Kurt wants it I don’t think that’s very healthy for your relationship-” Emma didn’t get to finish.
“Kurt didn’t tell me to back out. In fact, he told me to go for it. He told me I was perfect for the part. But this has nothing to do with him.” He glanced at the four people in the room, “It has to do with you. You laughed at him.”
“Blaine-”
“No, let me just say this. All of you have your own issues. All of you just want to be accepted for who you are and be able to do what you love. Ms. Pillsbury, Coach Beiste. You’re teachers. It’s your jobs to support students and encourage them. But you laughed at him!”
“Blaine, I don’t think this is appropriate-” Emma started to say.
“Well I don’t think it was appropriate for you to laugh at, demean, and humiliate one of your students but you did that. You did pretty much the exact opposite of your jobs.” Emma’s eyes were wide, and Beiste looked away, seemingly in shame. “And Rachel, Artie? You two are his friends! What were you even thinking? Do you know how hurt he was? Do you?”
“I know it was bad but-”
“But what? You made your supposed best friend cry, Rachel. After laughing in his face. Right now there’s nothing you could say that would make that better.” Blaine took a deep, calming breath. “Look. I didn’t come here to yell at you all. I just came here to say I will not be part of your play. I'd rather not work with the likes of you.” With a nod, Blaine backed out from the door. Stomping down the hall, trying to remain calm.
“Blaine?” Kurt called, causing the junior to turn to his boyfriend. “There you are! Where were you?”
Blaine smiled warmly at Kurt, “Nowhere. C’mon, let’s go get some coffee.”

Oh, thank you. That just needed to be said.
STOP I LOVE THIS
*RESOUNDING APPLAUSE*He pretty much said what I was thinking, especially in the case of Artie. It absolutely INFURIATED me that Artie laughed at him. Like, Artie doesn't know what it's like to be told know for parts like that...if he's ever even had the balls to try like Kurt did.I was angry with Shannon and Emma, but I never thought of it from this point of view. Very good points! It would've been a shame for Blaine not to be Tony, though. He was awesome. I can see him doing this, though.
