“I’ll get us coffee if you go buy our tickets,” Kurt looked at Blaine with his lower lip in a pout.
Blaine sneaked a peck on his mouth, “I’ll be waiting by the Spiderman poster.”
Kurt walked back with two hot drinks in his hands. Blaine was leaning one shoulder on the wall, looking relaxed. He smiled when he spotted Kurt.
”Thanks.”
“Thank you,” Kurt replied, swapping Blaine’s drink for his train ticket.
The cool, robotic, female announcer told them that it was time to board track 4. They instinctively reached for each other’s hands, twisting their fingers together.
They always chose to sit on the second level, in the corner at the back of the cart. They had more privacy there, no one was easily able to see them.
They placed their tickets into the metal holding slip, so no one had to bother them for the entirety of the 55 minute ride.
Blaine scooted close to Kurt, sliding his hand through the gap in the seat and Kurt’s back, holding his waist and pulling them as close together as possible.
Kurt laid his head on Blaine’s shoulder and put his hand on Blaine’s thigh, squeezing gently.
“Ahem,” there was a Professor Umbridge-esque cough on the side of the car facing Kurt and Blaine.
Kurt lifted his head, smiled lovingly at Blaine, and kissed him. Not hard, nothing offensive, it was just so that Umbridge, Kurt decided he would call her, would kindly fuck off.
Blaine smiled back at Kurt, blushing, and kissed his cheek.
“You don’t have to rub our homosexuality in her face,” Blaine whispered into Kurt’s ear.
“No, I didn’t. But I wanted to.”
Umbridge got off at the next stop.
“Did she have to be so obvious?” Kurt rolled his eyes as the door slid shut behind her.
“Relax, Kurt. It’s not a big deal. I promise.”
“I know, but. Its 2012. When are people going to get over it?”
Blaine sighed, “Maybe never. But it doesn’t matter. If that couple down there can make out the entire way home without one complaint,” Blaine was gesturing toward a girl straddling a boy’s lap on the lower level, “then we can cuddle, and everyone around us can just deal with it.”
The corners of Kurt’s lips twitched, and he draped his legs over Blaine’s lap and placed his head back onto Blaine’s shoulder.
“See,” Blaine said as he kissed the top of Kurt’s head, “No one cares.”
“I love you,” Kurt whispered.
“I love you more,” Blaine replied with another kiss to Kurt’s head.
“I love you most.”
“Did we just…we just quoted Tangled,” Kurt looked up at Blaine, a tight smile on his face.
They erupted into a raging bout of laughter, faces turning red, the whole car curious as to what just made two teenage boys laugh so hard.
When the laughing subsided, Blaine folded himself into Kurt’s lap, resting his head on Kurt’s upper thigh.
Kurt’s hand cupped Blaine’s cheek, “I really do love you, y’know?”
Blaine propped himself on his elbows and kissed Kurt on the lips, “I know,” he said on Kurt’s mouth, still slightly breathless from laughing, “and I really love you.”
