Inspired by a post on Tumblr. Blaine and Kurt are snowed in and decide to make the most of it together.
“Kay, hot chocolate is ready! Ooh, hot, hot!” Kurt said as he walked into his living room, hands full with two steaming mugs of hot chocolate.
Blaine looked up from the book he was reading on the couch and licked his lips eagerly. “Ooh, gimmee gimmee!” Kurt laughed quietly and handed a mug to him. “Well, someone’s excited.” Kurt sat down next to Blaine on the couch and took a careful sip from his cup. “Aah, perfection. I used this low-cal sweetener, and added just a dash of mint, if you can tell, I heard it’s really—” Kurt was cut off by the sight of Blaine getting up off the couch. “Where are you going…?”
Blaine simply walked out of the room without a word, only to return with a big, thick blanket. Silently, he covered Kurt with it, careful not to touch the hot chocolate, and settled in next to him, getting under the blanket as well.
“Cuddles,” he stated simply. Kurt smiled fondly, raising an arm and inviting Blaine to come into his embrace.
Blaine took up the offer and nuzzled his head into Kurt’s shoulder, wrapping his own arm around Kurt’s waist. “This is nice,” he said, his voice muffled by Kurt’s sleeve.
“Mmm,” Kurt agreed, planting a sweet kiss to the top of Blaine’s head. “Very nice.”
And there they sat, the fireplace crackling, the ongoing blizzard outside raging, casting shadows against the fire-lit wall. They sat and sipped their hot cocoas, occassionaly stealing glances and kisses at each other, laughing hysterically until tears streamed down their face and their stomachs hurt.
There they sat until their hot chocolates got cold, until their whispered “I love you’s” became soft snores, and they fell asleep in each other’s arms.
