Author's Notes: Soooo...I've kind of been sitting on this fic since September. I wrote it, hated it, tweaked it, still hated it, tweaked it some more, still hated it, showed it to missgoalie75 who said it was awesome, tweaked it again, and now I've finally decided to post it. Spoilers for 3.01 and mild allusions to Karofsky spoilers for 3.05.
“What warped, perverted fantasy are you three acting out?” Santana's voice rang out over the din of the Lima Bean. In unison, Kurt, Blaine and Brittany turned around to look at her.

“We just came from glee, Santana,” Brittany said. “Kurt said we could celebrate Blaine going to school with us now.”

“And that involves dressing like rejects from Oz?” Santana asked, smirking. “I mean, your matching outfits are 'friends of Dorothy' jokes just waiting to happen.”

“Wait,” Brittany interrupted. “Which one of us is Dorothy?” All three shot her a look before continuing.

“We’re wearing purple, Santana,” Kurt said with a glare. “Like the piano you set on fire.”

“Are you seriously going to give me shit for that, Hummel?” Santana sank into the chair next to Blaine. “You know what Coach Sylvester is like.”

“I wouldn't have done it,” Kurt said.

“That's because Coach likes you,” Santana rolled her eyes. “I don't know why, but she sees you as some...pet of hers or something.”

“That’s such a frightening thought,” Kurt muttered. “But it’s beside the point.” He glared as Santana sat down across from him and next to Brittany. “You set Blaine up to take the fall for the piano.” What looked like guilt flashed over Santana’s face for a second, then disappeared.

“I did what I had to do. It’s my senior year, and I’m not leaving McKinley a loser,” Santana told them. An awkward silence fell, and then Santana continued, “The way I see it, I did Blaine a favor.”

“How’s that?” Kurt asked.

“He performed like the gayest song to ever gay in front of the whole school by himself-"

“I’m right here, you know,” Blaine pointed out, but Santana ignored him.

“And he was basically asking to have his ass kicked,” she kept going. “The way I see it, performing with the Cheerios only upped his rep at McKinley.” Santana shrugged. “In my opinion, that means you owe me one.”

“You’re ridiculous,” Kurt snapped.

“Calm down,” Blaine told him. “Everything turned out okay, and no one kicked anyone’s ass.”

“Speak for yourself, Hobbit.” Santana glared at him. “You didn’t get kicked out of glee.”

“Don’t you think you deserved it?” Kurt wanted to know. “Mr. Schuester doesn’t ask that much of us.” Santana snorted.

“Why are we always fighting?” Brittany interrupted. “We shouldn’t be fighting.” Kurt and Santana exchanged looks, and stopped talking.

“In other news, I’ve managed to avoid being slushied so far,” Blaine changed the subject, looking around at them with a hopeful smile.

“Your time is coming, Gargler,” Santana promised. “You might be flying under the radar right now, but that won’t last forever.”

“Finn got it yesterday,” Brittany helpfully supplied. “He looked like a rainbow.” She pinched her face up in confusion. “Does that make him gay?”

Kurt choked on the sip of coffee he’d just taken. “No, Britt,” he said. “I think it’s painfully obvious that Finn is not gay.”

“I sense a story there,” Blaine replied. Kurt’s face slowly turned red.

“You mean he doesn’t know?” Santana arched an eyebrow at Kurt.

“Know what?” Blaine gave him what Kurt had dubbed his “eager puppy expression”.

“All in due time, sweetie,” Kurt patted his hand. “Did you see Dave today?”

Santana shook her head. “No,” she answered. “After prom, we didn’t see the need to keep up the charade, so…”

“Me either,” Kurt frowned. “I never thought I’d be worried to see the day when Dave Karofsky didn’t come to school.”

“Maybe he switched schools?” Blaine offered. “I know he’s changing, and maybe I’m overreacting, but I would be glad if he did transfer – so you don’t have to see him every day.”

Kurt nodded, staring into his coffee cup.

“I’m still mad at you for dating him,” Brittany said to Santana.

“Britt, I explained that,” Santana said softly. “You know why.”

“Yeah, but I don’t like it,” Brittany told her. “I don’t want my coffee anymore. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” She got up and left the table.

“Shit,” Santana swore, getting up and following her.

“Sometimes I think there’s something more than just friendship between them,” Blaine commented when it was just him and Kurt.

“Oh, Blaine.” Kurt patted his hand again. “If only you knew.” They smiled at each other for a moment.

“Are you really happy that I transferred?” Blaine wanted to know.

“Of course I am,” Kurt answered. “Now that you’re at McKinley, and I’m running for class president and with the musical…” he trailed off, squeezing Blaine’s fingers. “I think this year might just be magical after all.”
End Notes: *cries* because Kurt's year has been so far from magical. *sigh*
