Blaine carefully placed the little red box in Kurt's hands. Kurt's eyes were fixed on the little box for a while before he glanced up at Blaine.
"Blaine, wha-"
"Open it."
"I, uh…ok."
Blaine watched as Kurt's slender fingers pulled the yellow ribbon off and cautiously removed the lid.
Kurt's eyes widened as he took in what was in the box: a little red bowtie ring.
"Kurt Elizabeth Hummel," Blaine began as he placed his hands on Kurt's shoulders, "I love you more than anything in the world. I promise to love you for all of eternity. Actually, even longer than that."
Blaine glanced up to see Kurt's piercing blue eyes staring lovingly at him.
"I want to marry you, Kurt. Obviously not right now, but someday. Maybe when we're both a older, living in New York, and living out our dreams. I-I guess this would be what people would call a promise ring, and I hope you'll wear it, and know that while you're in New York, I'll be thinking about you. All the time."
Kurt bit his lip as he tried to contain his tears.
He nodded and whispered, "Of course I'll wear it. Everyday," Kurt paused and the corner of his mouth lifted in a small grin before adding, "Even if it doesn't match my outfit."
Blaine grinned and slipped the ring delicately on Kurt's finger.
"Even if it doesn't match your outfit? Wow, you love me a lot, don't you?" he teased.
"I love you, Blaine. More than anything. Even more than my clothes," Kurt said with a giggle.
Blaine tiptoed slightly and wrapped his arms around Kurt's neck.
"I love you too."
Their lips met in a soft, yet passionate kiss.
Right then and there, it didn't matter that they were in the middle of the hallway, or that people were staring and sneering at them, because they loved each other and nothing else mattered.
