Just a Little Courage
"How long have we got?" Blaine twiddled his fingers nervously. "Just over 20 minutes." Kurt replied, staring off at the planes in the window. Blaine smiled sadly as he dropped his hands and stood up to join Kurt by the window. "Just long enough to say goodbye properly." Blaine slipped his hand into Kurt's warm and trembling one. "This isn't goodbye, Blaine." But it is, at least for now. No matter how much Kurt loves Blaine he has to say goodbye not knowing when he will see his boyfriend again. But how can he board the plane that will take him to New York? How can he leave his family, his friends and his one true love? Blaine knows how he can: with Just a Little Courage.

"This isn't goodbye, Blaine." Kurt whispered almost silently.
"I know it isn't, baby." Blaine replied calmly. He was surprised at how Kurt was keeping so quiet and still.
"Why does this have to happen?" Kurt sobbed loudly. Oops. Spoke too soon. Tears were streaming down his face.
"It's not fair, I know, but it's what you deserve. I mean, after what you did to get here."
"Why can't you climb into my suitcase and come with me?" Kurt asked.
Blaine chuckled: "Hey, I may be small, but that is slightly unrealistic as much as I would love to come."
Kurt stared into Blaine's gorgeous eyes. Blaine stared back. "I'm gonna miss you, Kurt." Blaine said, with his voice wobbling. A tear rolled down his cheek.
"I'm gonna miss you too." Kurt cried, burying his face into Blaine's neck. He didn't care that all the homophobes in the world could be watching, this was his moment. Nobody could stop him saying goodbye to his one true love in the whole world.
Blaine placed a small kiss on Kurt's head. "Hey, this kinda reminds me of the time we first met.
Right?"
"What? I don’t think we were this close." Kurt joked through his tears.
Blaine laughed quietly. "I mean the feeling of no hope. Like, right now." Blaine whispered.
Kurt only smiled.
"And this," Blaine indicated to their entwined hands, "Reminds me of our first kiss." Kurt felt his eyes sting with unshed tears and let them fall.
"This can't be goodbye." Kurt cried, "All this can't end."
"All what?"
"Everything. You, me, all we've been through." Kurt couldn't look at Blaine much longer. He turned away.
"But it's not gonna end. None of this will. I promise." Kurt slowly faced Blaine.
"Do you mean that?" Kurt's voice was trembling.
"Of course I do. I-" Blaine took a deep breath "I won't let us forget any of this." Blaine's face was shining with tears.
"All flights to New York are now departing. Please go to Gate E5 to board. Thank you."
"Oh, God." Kurt felt his heart racing.
"Calm down, calm down." Blaine comforted Kurt.
"I-I love you so much." Kurt whispered.
"And I love you." Blaine pulled Kurt into a tight embrace, breathing in his boyfriend's unique Marc Jacobs Summer Collection Fragrance, trying not to let go.
Kurt looked around. He leaned into Blaine's face before carefully pressing his lips onto Blaine's. The kiss was perfect. Not rushed, not pressured, perfect.
As they parted, Blaine pulled Kurt into another warm embrace.
"I'm never saying goodbye to you." Blaine sighed.
"Hey, that's my line!" Kurt laughed. When they broke apart from the hug, Blaine stared at Kurt, his one true love.
"Well, I guess I'll be going then...Goodbye Blaine. I'll never, ever forget you." Kurt meant every single word.
"Goodbye, Kurt." Blaine replied back as he watched his true love walk away. How long would it be before he saw Kurt again? A month? A year? Would he even see Kurt again?
When Kurt finally boarded the plane after much fuss and stress, he sat in his first class seat. Before he did anything, he got out his phone to see Blaine's face. He stared at a picture of him and Blaine. He just wanted to see him. When it got too much, he locked his phone screen and closed his eyes, hoping to have a dream about Blaine.
His phone buzzed loudly almost giving Kurt a heart attack.
Kurt unlocked his phone to see who it was from. It was from Blaine. Probably telling Kurt he'd forgotten his jumper or his hairspray.
When Kurt pressed on the text to see what it said, he almost fainted. How could one small word, so small make Kurt almost break down in tears once again? What word could do that?
Kurt brought himself to read the text again. It simply said:
Courage.
