The sun slips beyond the horizon and the stars come out to shine as Kurt and Blaine lay on an old picnic blanket. Holding hands and sharing sweet innocent kisses.
"Love, Les Mis was amazing! I knew it would be good, but that was fantastic." Blaine quietly gushes to Kurt.
"I told you! I've been dying to see it and it was almost better than I expected it to be," Kurt replies "And you know that I had very high hopes. Anne Hathaway was phenomenal, and Hugh Jackman was just spectacular."
"Russell Crowe was just a perfect Javert. Right?" Blaine questions.
"Yes dear, he was brilliant."
"Why didn't you tell me how fucking sad it was though? I mean, Gavroche and Courfeyrac, Éponine? And how Jean Valjean died, I wasn't expecting to cry but you saw; I sobbed."
"I did try to tell you it was sad. And Blaine, the title is clue enough. Les Misérables? The Miserable? Did you not make that connection? But yeah, that was most definitely heart wrenching. I will say that I didn't expect you to cry harder than I did!"
"It was sad, Kurt! But then the end, and when Fantine starts singing. Seriously? How can anyone not cry? I mean she is literally there to take him to heaven. Also when Éponine singing about the flowers and dying. I mean Jesus! That wasn't cool. The whole movie was horribly beautiful."
"But can we go see it again?" Kurt questions hopefully.
"Of course. But we're going with tissues next time?"
"Duh. We'll need them. We were both pretty damn upset."
"Not as much as those teenage girls in front of us! One of them was sobbing the whole way through almost. When Gavroche died I swear she exploded with feelings! And the poor soul was holding her friends hand for dear life. You could see how upset she was. Poor dear."
"Blaine? You can talk! You were almost as bad, love. Everyone was pretty upset. Us included!"
"Yeah... But we enjoyed it!"
"You are possibly the cutest thing ever."
Time passed with bouts of conversation of trivial things, about the movie they saw and the goings on in their lives. In the lull of conversation the two boys madly in love held hands and kissed each other innocently. Small sweet nothings spoken in truth to the sky. Kurt's head lay on Blaine's chest, keeping time with the steady beat of his heart. Blaine presses a small kiss to the crown of Kurt's head, and he whispers to the stars...
"I'll love you forever Kurt. This I swear to the stars"
