Blaine mind hadn't even registered what happened, but in an instant, Kurt was on the floor screaming. Blaine had seen a flash of red and then Kurt was writhing in pain in front of his feet. Blaine sank down onto the cold concrete floor. He didn't know how to react.

Blaine glanced up as the Warblers awkwardly shuffled away from the parking garage, some giving him apologetic looks, but none stopping to help. At the front of the group was Sebastian, his head held high, but Blaine could see a flicker of concern in his symmetric features.

Over Kurt's deafening shrieks that filled the nearly empty garage, Blaine heard some voices and it took him a second to realize that he was still surrounded by the New Directions. Quinn had a phone to her ear and was saying something about an ambulance. Santana and Puck looked angry and every few seconds would go on a long rant, swearing loudly and threatening to hurt each of the Warblers themselves. Brittany was by Santana's side, rubbing Santana's arm and looking down at Kurt's body with a dazed expression.

Mike had his arms around Tina as she sobbed into his chest. Rachel's eyes were rimmed with red, but there was no sound coming from her. Rory, Sam, Artie were staring, just staring. Not talking or moving; just staring at the ground in front of Blaine. Blaine felt something hot boil in his chest and he wanted to scream at them to do something, but he knew it wasn't them he was angry at. He was angry at himself. He made this happen. Sebastian wanted him and all Blaine did was say a few times that he had a boyfriend. Blaine blinked back tears. He actually thought that would have stopped his advances. How stupid he had been.

He should have listened to Kurt. He should have cut all ties with Sebastian when Kurt had told him to. Then Kurt wouldn't have been in this position.

Finn was murmuring something into his cellphone. Blaine stared dumbly at his mouth as it moved. His ears refused to pick up any sound until he heard Finn say: "Burt, there's been an accident. It's Kurt."

Blaine's stomach lurched painfully. He looked down at Kurt's shaking body. He wanted nothing more than to hold Kurt and take the pain away, but he couldn't. Blaine felt like he would break him. Like Kurt was an expensive marble figurine and Blaine was a destructive child.

The top half of Kurt's body was covered in the sticky red concoction. The slush spread out around him and Blaine tried not to think about how much like blood it looked. Kurt's hands were pressed over his right eye. Blaine carefully tried to pry Kurt's hands off his eye to see the damage, but Kurt wouldn't let him. Blaine settled for taking one of Kurt's hands into his own and allowed Kurt to bury his face into Blaine's lap as he sobbed.

"You're going to be okay, Kurt," Blaine said, choking back a sob. "You're going to be okay." Blaine knew he was just trying to convince himself.

As Kurt's screams echoed throughout the garage, Blaine wished nothing more than to be the one on the floor, enduring the pain for Kurt.
