From Blaine Anderson : Sorry I can't come over tonight. Maybe tomorrow?

Kurt looked at the message and sighed before replying.

To Blaine Anderson : Sure :)

From Blaine Anderson : Great. Love you. :)

To Blaine Anderson : Love you too.

Kurt sighed before throwing his phone on his bed. This was the fifth time Blaine has canceled on one of their dates and Kurt was getting sick of it.

Kurt staggered his way down stairs, igorning Finn's questions, and then ploped onto the couch and sighed sadly. Burt seemed to notice Kurt's sadness and turned the TV off and faced his son.

"What's wrong?"

"Wha - oh, nothing." Kurt stared at the blank screen.

"Look kid, like I've said before, I'm dumb but I'm not stupid so talk."

"Fine. It's just... Blaine keeps on canceling our dates and I feel like... I don't know, maybe that I'm losing him? I'm not sure, I'm just really tired of this."

"Wow, well, in a way I think it's good for you."

"How?"

"Sometimes you need a break from your other half, it help's sometimes."

"I'm just really, really pissed off right now, I think I'm going to bed." Kurt got up and left the room.

"What's wrong with him?" Carole asked walking into the living room.

"Dunno. We should give him some space."

When Kurt reached the bed he collapsed on top of it not caring about the phone digging right into his crotch and drifted off to sleep.

"Hey Blaine!" Kurt called out.

"Blaine?"

"What?"

"What yourself, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just need some space that's all!"

"Sorry, I'll just leave then!"

"Bye!"

The next day...

From Blaine Anderson : Kurt come over. Now.

Kurt rushed over to Blaine's and knocked on the door.

"Come in." Blaine opened the door and pulled Kurt through.

"What's going on Blaine!"

"Kurt we need to talk."

"Go for it."

"I'm breaking up with -"

"Ahh!" Kurt screamed and sat straight up in the air. He was covered in sweat and had tear streams running down his face. Slowly he got up and made his way to Finn's room. He opened the door and then tapped Finn's shoulder softly.

"Finn."

"Hmm? S'going on? Is the house on fire?" Finn sat up and looked at Kurt with a worried expression.

"No Finn, it's not."

"Then what's going on?"

"Finn, remember when you told me that whatever time it is you'll always be here to listen to me?"

"Yeah."

"Well... this is one of those times."

"Oh, okay well let's go down stairs and talk."

"Thank you Finn."

"No problem bro."

The pair made it to the kitchen without waking their parents and sat down.

"So, what did you wanna talk about?" Finn asked.

"Well, it's about Blaine."

"Did he hurt you? 'Cause I'll kill -"

"No! It's just... he's been distaning himself and I don't know what to do."

"Wow, okay... I'm not really sure what to... why don't you talk to Rachel?"

"I'd rather talk to you." Kurt admitted.

"Cool. Um, well, I-I could talk to him for you?"

"Yeah, that might help... just don't say anything about what I said, okay?"

"Sure. Anything else?"

"Nope. Thank you so much Finn. You're the best brother in the world." Kurt stood up and gave Finn a hug before heading off to bed.

The next morning Kurt and Finn headed off to the shop to work for a couple of hours while Burt and Carole spent their time at home doing... 'things'.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"I'll get it." Carole turned the vacuum of padded over towards the door.

"Blaine hi! Um, Kurt's not here he's at the shop if you wanted to speak to him."

"Actually, I'm here for you and Burt if you don't mind?"

"No, no it's fine. Come in."

Blaine went into the living room with Carole following behind. Blaine took a seat next to Carole while she called Burt down. When they all were seated Blaine started speaking.

"Mr. and Mrs. Hummel, I came here to ask you something, you don't have to say yes but I would love it if you did."

"Go for it kid."

"Okay... what I wanted to ask was... for your permission to... to ask Kurt to... marry him." Blaine mummbled looking away from their gazes.

"What?"

"Well it'll be a promise ring but I mean I would love it for you to give me your permission."

"Yes."

"Wha - really?"

"Yes kid, your good for him and we all love you. It's a yes, well, for me anyway."

"Yes for me too." Carole agreed.

"Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Blaine cried. "One more thing and that is, you can't tell Kurt about this, alright?"

"Of course."

The next day Kurt woke up from his phone ringing.

"'lo?"

"Kurt?"

"Blaine?"

"Yeah."

"I hate you."

"No you don't, you love me and I think you'll love me more when you see what I have planned for."

"Mmm, what?"

"Just get ready and I'll tell you the rest."

"M'kay."

Kurt hung up and got ready for Blaine. He settled on a deep purle long sleve with his tightest pair of black skinnys and finished off with a dark scarlet scarf wrapped around his neck.

He made his way down stairs only to find his boyfriend at the end smiling at him.

"Hello, beautiful." Blaine pressed his lips on Kurt's before dragging him outside and into the car.

"Hello Blaine. Where are you taking me?"

"Somewhere only we know, oh and nice idea with scarf, we're going somewhere chilly."

"Where?!?"

"Not telling, I've already given enough away. Wait, put this on." Blaine gave Kurt a blindfold then he tied it over his eyes. "There, no peaking."

The rest of the drive went by silently until the car came to a stop. Blaine jumped out of the car and went over to Kurt's side to get him out too. Blaine led Kurt out and over to a small area with no one else around.

Blaine took the blindfold off and Kurt immediately gasped at the area infront of him. It was a small place with a big willow tree that was covered in snow at the top right hand corner and a frozen lake in the middle. There was a small path of lillac's leading up to the willow tree which Kurt and Blaine followed.

"Blaine this is so amazing." Kurt looked out giving Blaine the perfect moment to ask Kurt his question.

"Blaine? What are you -?"

"Kurt Elizabeth Hummel, I love -"

"Yes."

"Wait? What?"

"Yes Blaine."

"Really?"

"Yes!" Blaine jumped to his feet and smashed his lips with Kurt.

"That's a promise ring right?" Kurt wondered.

"Yes it is, oh and I asked your parents and they said yes too so..."

"I love you so much."

"I love you too."

Kurt placed the ring on his left hand and smiled at it. It was a sliver band with sapphire's on either sides and in the middle was a giant red ruby on it and inside the band it said, 'Blaine Anderson, your's always and forever.' And Blaine ment it.
