“Wha – ” Blaine mutters angrily, raising himself off the ground and dusting himself off. He stumbles around the cave floor until he finds the cause of his fall.

A lamp.

He picks it up, rubbing the caked dirt of and squinting in the darkness to see the inscription it beholds. Suddenly the shadowy cave is lit up, finally letting him see the words engraved onto its side. Be careful what you wish for. The old lamp begins to shake in his hands. He drops it, quickly stepping away from the old lamp.

A puff of smoke appears from it, forming into a human-like figure. Blaine scatters back, jaw dropping open.

“Who – who are you?” he screams, frightened.

 “Young master,” he says in a clear, loud voice, “I am your genie. Your wish is my command.” He’s the most beautiful thing Blaine has ever seen. He floats above the lamp, poised and proud with his arms crossed over his chest.

“H – how many wishes do I get?”

“You will have a total of three wishes.”

“Can I wish for someone to fall in love with me?” he asks, nearing the mystical, beautiful creature with a sheepish smile.

“No,” the genie says immediately. “You may only wish for possessions. Tell me who your heart desires and I will help you find a way to their heart.”

“Well,” Blaine says, blushing, “I want you.”

Kurt’s stance changes, his arms dropping and blue eyes widening. For the first time he actually looks at the other boy. “Oh.”
