Kurt was a good kisser.
He was a very good kisser.
That's all Blaine remembered about the kiss--well, that and the fact that ever since the Warblers' Council had agreed to let Kurt sing the duet with him, he'd been on pins and needles choosing just the right song, choosing just the right moment to approach Kurt, choosing just the right words to say to Kurt, choosing whether or not to kiss him....
He was so glad he'd decided to kiss him. It had been amazing. His heart had stopped. His chest had ached and felt like it was going to explode it was so full with the love he felt in the moment.
...and when Kurt's hand clapped against his neck and jaw, he thought he was going to--well, he didn't know what would happen because his brain kinda stopped functioning at that point.
...and then Kurt returned his kiss...and Kurt was the most amazing, most sensual, most--Blaine ran out of adequate words. His brain could feel what he meant, but it couldn't bring forward anymore vocabulary to describe it.
But, what about me? Was I good? Kurt had been kissed once before, but Blaine had never been kissed. He'd never even had a boyfriend. Okay, Kurt had never had a boyfriend, either; but he'd been kissed.
You're being stupid, Blaine. The only kiss he's ever had was forced on him by that idiot bully who can't even admit to himself, let alone anyone else, that he's--Okay, hey, that's not fair. You know how difficult it is.Blaine shook his head in disgust at himself. A pause, and then he reconsidered, That doesn't mean he can take it out on Kurt just becausehe's comfortable with himself. Nope. My sympathy for that jerk ended the day he threatened Kurt's life.
Released from his distracting thoughts, he saw that he was right outside the study room where Kurt had been working on Pavarotti's casket when Blaine entered to tell him about the song, why he chose it, what Kurt meant to him....
Without even realizing it, Blaine walked into the room and stood, just staring at the two wooden chairs that were still in the same position they'd been when he and Kurt had kissed.
Slowly, almost timidly, he strode to sit in the chair he had occupied. As he sat, he took hold of the arms of the other chair and held them firmly, flustered. "Was I, Kurt? Were you as happy as I was?" he asked quietly.
"I asked for more, didn't I?"
Startled, Blaine nearly tipped his chair over when he turned to see Kurt standing just inside the door to the room.
"Hi, there." Kurt came further into the room, a sort of catlike walk, loosely heel-to-toe. God, it was sexy.
"Um, hi. I was just--"
"Remembering? Obsessing?" Kurt leaned against the back of the sofa behind Blaine's chair. "So have I. Comes with the territory, I suppose. First kisses." He smiled down at Blaine.
Blaine laughed on a puff of air. "Yeah." He could feel himself blushing, and that embarrassed him all the more. "So, I guess you saw and heard the whole talking to the chair thing?"
Kurt's smile grew a bit. "I'm afraid so." He reached out to pat Blaine's shoulder, pouting a bit. "If it makes you feel any better, I thought it was very sweet."
Blaine smiled and looked away, sure his face and ears were as dark pink as his mother's fuschias, now.
"And you tell me I'm cute when I blush," Kurt said.
And then Blaine felt a hand on his cheek turning his head. He looked up just in time to see Kurt's face moving toward his.
Kurt's lips caressed his upper lip in a way that made Blaine's toes curl. Before then, Blaine had always assumed that was just a figure of speech...but there it was. His nerves were just so on fire that a jolt went all the way from his lips to his toes. He reached up with both hands, wrapping them around Kurt's lower back to splay upward and hold on tight. He never wanted this moment to end.
But, of course, they both had to get more air than they could get during the kiss. Kurt pulled back, sucking in heavy amounts of air as he smiled at Blaine. Finally, he managed, "I think if we're going to continue this we should find someplace a little less subject to interruptions."
Blaine nodded. "I think you're right." He stood and held out his hand. "I have just the place."
"Do tell."
Blaine grinned, his eyes twinkling. "That would spoil the surprise, wouldn't it?"
Kurt's mouth and eyes opened slightly wider, but almost as quickly returned to normal. Blaine had to admire Kurt's studied effort to hide his emotions, though he knew Kurt's reasons for honing that skill at his old school completely sucked.
One day, Blaine hoped Kurt would be comfortable enough with him to let him see everything he felt. Kurt had been hurt in more ways than one; Blaine could wait.

Oh, thanks for the kind review. I'm sorry, but I wrote this a long time ago, and it's all my muse gave me. It's just a ficlet, not a multi-chapter story. :(
Hate to be a buzzkill but blaines first kiss wasn't kurt it was Rachel in season 2 episode 14. If you were to say it was his first kiss with another boy that would be more acurate. Other than that loved it though xx
I was aware of that. That's why I had him think to himself he'd never even had a boyfriend. Guess I should've made that more clear, since he'd thought about the only kiss he knew of Kurt having before his. Thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked the rest of it!
