Author's Notes: To Franco, the best Kurt Blaine could ask for!
Kurt was on his way back from his West Side Story rehearsal. Somewhen during the rehearsals it had started raining and Kurt ducked under his umbrella, trying to keep his clothes dry. He was half-way home, when his phone rang. The caller ID told him that it was Blaine and he answered with a smile.
"Hey, Blaine, what's up?"
"Are you alright? I saw the rain and knew you were on your way home...", he trailed off.
Kurt smiled.
"I'm fine, Blaine, no need to be worried, I have an umbrella and my Prada rainboots, but thanks for asking."
"You sure? 'Cause I could give you a ride!"
Kurt frowned and when he heard a car behind him, he turned around. Blaine parked next to him in his dark green station wagon. Even through the thick rain streaks Kurt could see the wide grin on Blaine's face.
"Jerk!", he mumbled as he went over to the car.
Before he could open the door though, Blaine got out and came over to him, the heavy rain immediately soaking his clothes and washing the gel from his hair, but not the smile from his face that shone through the darkness like Kurt's personal sun.
"What are you doing? You're getting all wet!"
Blaine smiled a little more, if that was even possible.
"That's the idea.", he laughed.
Kurt frowned again.
"What are you up to, Anderson?"
He took a step back, but Blaine took two forward and stood a foot away from him.
"Only the best, Hummel, only the best."
Then he put one hand on Kurt's, on the one holding the umbrella, the other on his hip. He pulled his boyfriend close, ignoring the little wince Kurt gave, when Blaine's wet clothes rubbed against his dry ones.
Gently Blaine took the umbrella out of Kurt's hand and put it on the ground next to the car.
After that he place his hand back in Kurt's, who stared at him, as if he was a ghost.
"Oh come on, can't I be fun and spontaneous?", he asked, very happy with himself. Then he began to sing:
I'm siiinging in the rain,
Just siinging in the rain,
What a glorious feeling,
I'm happy again
For a moment Kurt could only stare at his boyfriend, who was twirling them around the flooded sidewalk.
But how could he mad at that adorable little face, that was grinning at him through the rain?
He started laughing and let Blaine lead him.
The suns in my heart
And I'm ready for love
At this he placed a quick kiss on Kurt's nose, who shook his head, smiling.
Blaine kept singing, taking Kurt's other hand and stepping next to him. Then they walked down the sidewalk in the rhythm of the imaginary music.
I'll walk down the lane,
With a haaappy refrain,
Just singing,
Singing in the rain.
And then Blaine jumped in front of Kurt and started dancing solo, just like Gene Kelly did.
Dancing in the rain,
da-ba-di-daa da-dun-da-da
I'm happy again,
I'm singing and dancing in the rain
When Blaine started tap-dancing, Kurt lost it. He laughed so hard, that tears mixed with the rain on his face. The scene in front of him was just too precious.
I'm dancing and singing
In the rain
Blaine finished, kneeling on one knee in front of Kurt, arms spread wide and panting a bit.
"Get up here you dork, so I can kiss you!", Kurt laughed.
Blaine got up, raising an eyebrow.
"You wanna kiss me, even though I ruined your clothes?"
Kurt rolled his eyes, pulled him close and kissed him deeply.
"You're an idiot and I love you!", he whispered against Blaine's lips.
"Oh good, 'cause I love you too, you perfect boy."
After another kiss they went back to the car, driving home to get out of the wet clothes.
