He did break

His father didn’t love him. Not anymore. He ignored him, acted like he wasn’t even there, like he was never born. It killed Kurt. His father, who had always told him he would support him no matter what, his father who had told him love is love, his father who had taught him God loves everyone… That father wasn’t there anymore. Not for Kurt at least.

But Blaine was there, so he didn’t break.

Finn hated him. Since the moment Kurt had told his brother his deepest and darkest secret, he had lost another person in his life he needed so badly. It killed Kurt. His  brother had always told him he could trust him, that he wouldn’t judge him. Their problems were off the road. Finn had promised him he would be there forever, cause that’s what brothers were for, even when they weren’t brother’s by blood. But now… Finn wasn’t there anymore, despite his promise.

But Blaine was there, so he didn’t break.

Kurt knew Blaine knew something was up. His friend had asked him many times what was wrong. He also promised he would be there for him, that he would support him. But Kurt couldn’t tell him, he couldn’t stand losing the person he loved the most. Yes, Kurt Hummel was in love with his best friend. That was his deepest and darkest secret which had tore him and his father appart. It was that secret which had broken the band between Kurt and his brother Finn. He couldn’t let it ruin his friendship with Blaine, could he?

But Blaine pressed, pushed him into telling him. And Kurt couldn’t resist his best friend’s pleas. Kurt told Blaine his secret, hoping, praying, that his friend would keep his promise. He closed his eyes, and when he re-opened them again,  Blaine was gone.

Blaine wasn’t there anymore, so he did break.
