Blaine loves the nights he gets to stay over at Kurt's.

It's not because of the reason most of his friends think it is, because even though they do have sex, Blaine knows what they have is so much more than that. Most of their friends forget that before they were boyfriends, they were best friends, and Blaine knows that that part of them is still there, even though the gentle kisses and soft caresses sometimes drown it - or, maybe they just deepen it.

Blaine, himself, doesn't understand why his friends don't get how much he loves the nights he gets to watch old episodes of Project Runaway all night in the dark with hushed giggles and Kurt curled up in his arms, the distant smell of coffee there somewhere and no rush to leave, because to him, it means heaven. And when he wakes up with Kurt's face inches away from his own, and realizes that he can count the freckles on his face in the barely lingering morning light, he feels something so perfect that it's almost painful tugging at his chest.

So, they're sitting up in the kitchen, the light from the refrigerator illuminating Kurt's face briefly when he gets up to get some more strawberry juice, and Blaine can feel the overwhelming feel of love swelling in his chest as Kurt stops to kiss his cheek on his way back to his seat.
They've been giggling at pretty much nothing for the last three hours, "just ten more minutes", "we need to go to sleep oh my god my skin will look horrible tomorrow", "honey, you always look wonderful". The night is slowly turning into a morning, and Blaine crosses his legs in front of him as Kurt turns around with the open carton of strawberry juice in his hand with a new kind of light in his eyes.

"Dance with me".

So Blaine raises one of his eyebrows in a way he hopes is elegant, uncrosses his legs and lets Kurt help him up from the floor.

Kurt's scent is so strong here, Blaine's nose pressed into the skin on his neck and he feels warm all over when Kurt wraps his arms around him that he can't stop the little happy noise that escapes when Kurt rests his chin on the top of Blaine's head.
"We don't even have music", Blaine mumbles halfheartedly into the collar of Kurt's shirt, his bare legs brushing against Kurt's and catching the quiet laugh that Kurt doesn't even try to suppress.
"As if that has ever stopped you", Kurt mumbles back.

Blaine smiles into Kurt's chest, closes his eyes and inhales deeply, and he thinks he can still feel the sense of home flooding over him as he drives home the next day.
