Kurt reveals why he is self-conscious about his body.
Blaine had spent many a day in the holidays round at the Hummel-Hudson household. Playing basketball with Finn and Puck. Relaxing by the pool with Kurt. Most of the time he was shirtless.
‘Kurt… How come I’ve never seen you topless?’ he asked, blushing, one evening as the two boys laid on Kurt’s bed.
Kurt’s eyes widen in shock. ‘Umm…’ he stuttered. ‘Y… You know me, Blaine. I’m very self-concious when it comes to my body.’
‘I know that. But I don’t understand why.’
Kurt stood from the bed, turning his back to Blaine.
‘You have to promise to not judge. Ok?’ He looked over his shoulder at the other boy who nodded.
Kurt pulled his shirt over his head.
Blaine gasped at the sight of his boyfriend’s back.
Scars crisscrossed across his shoulders and down most of his back.
Kurt kept facing away from Blaine until he felt the gentle yet calloused fingers of his best friend… His boyfriend.
‘Tell me the story of…’ Blaine murmured. ‘This one.’ He kissed a scar between Kurt’s shoulder blades.
‘That one… Was when Karofsky shoved me into an open locker.’ Kurt murmured in reply.
‘And this one?’ Blaine placed a kiss on a scar on Kurt’s shoulder.
‘Another locker.’
Blaine carried on asking for the stories, Kurt kept on telling them.
Kurt turned to face Blaine after he’d kissed the last scar.
‘So… All of these…’ Blaine wrapped his arms around Kurt’s shoulders. ‘Are from lockers and dumpsters?’
‘Yeah. But this one…’ Kurt lifted his chin slightly, showing the small scar on the side of his neck. ‘Is a special one… I got it on my first ever dumpster dive.’
Blaine smiled, twisting his head to the side so he could press a gentle kiss there. ‘I still don’t understand why you’re self-conscious. You’re beautiful, Kurt. In every way possible. And you’re all mine.’ Blaine kissed Kurt one last time. ‘I love you.’
‘I love you too.’
