Lost Sight, Couldn’t See

“I was with someone.” It only took those four words to turn Kurt’s amazing night with his boyfriend into a nightmare. Four words to completely shatter his heart.

“It was Sebastian wasn’t it?” he asked.

Blaine shook his head “No, no it wasn’t Sebastian. You honestly think I’d cheat on you with the guy who nearly blinded me?”

He wiped a tear from his eye. “I didn’t think you’d cheat on me period Blaine, but you did. Who was it then?” he asked.

“It doesn’t matter! I was alone Kurt! You promised me I wouldn’t be alone!”

His eyes widened, is he really going to go there? “Oh so this is my fault? You should have talked to me!”

“You weren’t there Kurt, I tried! Eli was there!”

He looked at him, tears falling freely now. “Eli? Who the hell is he?”

Blaine sighed “He, he’s the guy I hooked up with...”

“W-where’d you meet him?” he asked, not sure he wanted to know the answer.

“At Jeff’s party a few weeks ago. I’m so sorry, I love you.”

Kurt shook his head. “N-no! Just stop! Stop!” He said before leaving in tears.

He walked through the park and back to the apartment. Blaine comes back, he has nowhere to go. He pretends to be asleep and Blaine seems to buy it, he doesn’t say anything.

He hears him cry himself to sleep, but he doesn’t care. He’s in shock, and numb. He laid awake thinking. He has no idea what to do. “Why would he do that to me, to us? How could he?!” he thought to himself. He turned away from him. “I thought he loved me! He’s the love of my life! Why did he break my heart?”

He looked over at Blaine, and wondered Why am I not good enough? Tears started falling, he knew he’d wake Blaine if he stayed in there and he couldn’t deal with that right now. He grabbed a throw blanket and went into the living room and just cried. He wanted to hate Blaine, he really did, but he couldn’t! He loved him so much, more than anything. Thinking back to their song, Teenage Dream, Blaine was his missing puzzle piece. And knowing that Blaine had shared himself with someone else killed him.

He thought back to April when he had talked and flirted with Chandler. It wasn’t cheating in his opinion but it was to Blaine. But this was completely different! Eli and Blaine were intimate. He couldn’t think about him without picturing them. He felt like he was dying, he hurt that much. He just sat there and cried. Before he knew it, it was morning and Blaine came out of his room.

“Hey.” Blaine said softly.

He wiped his eyes “Hi.” He took in Blaine’s appearance, he looked horrible, his hair all over the place, his face red and blotchy and his eyes that were usually so full of life looked dead, and bloodshot. “You look like shit.”

Blaine nodded “Yeah, I didn’t get much sleep.”

He sighed “I couldn’t at all. I’ve been here crying on and off all night, thinking.” He looked at Blaine, “You really hurt me Blaine. I honestly feel like I’m gonna die.” Blaine’s eyes widened and filled with tears. “I haven’t felt like this since my mom died.” He stood up and faced him not even trying to stop the tears. “I’ve been hurt by so many people Blaine, Finn, Karofsky and the football team, NYADA even Rachel. But I never thought in a million years that you would hurt me like this.” He sobbed.

Blaine was sobbing, covering his mouth. “I-I’m so sorry Kurt.”

He shook his head. “I can’t d-deal with this r-right now Blaine! Y-you need to g-go.”

Blaine nodded and went into his room to get his things. Blaine returned and walked over to him. He shook his head “Don’t touch me!” he said angrily. “Don’t.”

Blaine bit his lip “Okay.” Blaine picked up his bag nodding and walked to the door, Blaine looked at him tears rolling down his cheeks. “Kurt, I-I’m so sorry. Just know I love you.”

He looked at him and saw he was crying. “Goodbye Blaine.”

Blaine put a hand over his mouth sobbing as he ran out the door. As soon as the door shut, he pulled his knees to his chest and sobbed. He never knew how horrible this was. He sobbed harder realizing why Blaine had left sobbing, he told Blaine goodbye, when he’d promised he never would. He’s never felt so alone and lost. His heart felt like part of it was missing, his missing puzzle piece was gone. As mad and hurt as he was, he still loved him. He wanted to hate him but all he wanted was for Blaine to hold him in his arms and comfort him and sing perfect to him. But he couldn’t, not when Blaine was the reason he was so hurt.

He lost track of how long he’d been crying but when he stopped his phone went off, a facebook notification. His eyes widened. “Thats’ it!” he said to himself. He quickly grabbed his laptop to get on facebook, he knew Blaine’s username and password. He typed in BlaineWarbler13 and his password KurtBlaine031510.

Blaine Anderson: I miss you so much.
Blaine Anderson: I can’t believe I did this...
Blaine Anderson: I’m such an idiot. I’m so sorry I love you so much.

He shook his head and went to his messages. He finds Eli right after some unresponded messages from Sebastian. He looked at his profile picture. A lighthouse? What the fuck? He took a deep breath and clicked on the message with his name.

Eli C.: What’s up, Sexy
Eli C: You want to come over?
He felt a hand on his shoulder, it was Rachel. “What are you doing?”

He sighed. “Looking at Blaine’s facebook.”

“Kurt!” she gasped. “That’s an invasion of privacy!”

He groaned in frustration. “Rachel, he cheated on me with someone on Facebook! I just want to see how long it was going on okay?”

She nodded “Okay...”

He turned back to the computer and his heart breaks at what he reads.

Blaine Anderson: I’ll be there soon. I need to be back by five, I have a Skype date with Kurt.”

“Oh my god.” Rachel gasped.

He shut the laptop and pushed it away from him. he couldn’t believe this, he thought back to the date of the message. He remembered that it was the longest time they’ve skyped since he got the job at Vogue. He remembered that his hair wasn’t gelled and was messy, but he’d said he’d taken a shower. He also seemed a bit tired too, but he figured he’d just had a long day. Now he knew why and he’s furious! He had sex with another guy and still skyped with him. He went on his phone and changed his relationship status From ‘In a relationship with Blaine Anderson’ to ‘It’s Complicated.’

“What are you going to do?” She asked.

He wiped his eyes. “I have to end it, Rachel.”

She sighed “Are you sure?”

He paused for a minute and said “Yeah, I’m sure.”

“You don’t seem like it.”

He groaned “I have no choice Rachel! He cheated on me! I can’t trust him anymore, you can’t have a relationship without it.”

She nodded “Well, I’m going to Lima to see Finn, we uh, we need to talk.”

He nodded and booked their flights, for the next morning. They packed their bags and tried to get some sleep. He cried himself to sleep as he knew he’d be ending his relationship with his first love, his best friend. When he woke he found text messages from Blaine and a voice mail.

I’m so sorry Kurt. ~Blaine
I love you Kurt, I meant everything I said at callbacks. You’re the love of my life.~Blaine

He stared at his phone at the voicemail. “Voice mail from Blaine?” she asked. He nodded “You gonna listen to it?”

He looked at her. “Should I?”

She nodded “Yeah, see what he has to say.”

He sighed and punched in his password 031511, their anniversary. Blaine’s voice came on the machine. “H-hi Kurt, uh it’s me. I-I know that you probably don’t want to hear from me but uh, I-I’m really sorry. I really I am. I h-have no excuses. I hate myself for doing that to you, and hurting you so much.” Blaine’s voice broke as he said “I love you Kurt, so much. I don’t even know if you’re listening but if you can, just please call me or text me. I don’t expect you to forgive me, I don’t even forgive myself. I haven’t hated myself so much before. But please call me if you can. I love you so much Kurt, more than anything. I love you, B-bye.”

He hung up the phone and threw it on the bed and just curled in on himself. Blaine hated himself, he never wanted him to feel that way, no matter how mad he was. He heard the sincerity in his voice. He looked at Rachel. “I- love him Rach.”

She nodded and hugged him “I know Kurt, I know.” She kissed his forehead. “Come on, let’s go, we’re gonna miss our flight.”

They went to the airport and got on their flight. He laid his head on Rachel’s shoulder and cried softly every now and then. When they landed in Columbus they got on a bus and he went on his laptop to check Blaine’s facebook and see if they’d gotten together.

Eli C: Was it because I didn’t look like my profile picture?
Blaine Anderson: No, I’d lose him, I can’t lose him.
Eli C: Whatever dude. You told him didn’t you?
Blaine Anderson: Yeah...I couldn’t lie to him. I love him too much and he saw right through me, when I cried singing our song.
Eli C: Seriously? Don’t be so dramatic!
Blaine Anderson: Listen to me, he’s the love of my life. Or he used to be, we’re not talking right now. No, he’s the love of my life. Listen, I don’t know if we’re still together or not but if we are, I don’t want to lose him.
Eli C: Fine. You know where I am if you change your mind ;)

He shook his head, what a tool. Then he got an idea. He looked at Rachel. “I just got an idea Rachel.”

She looked at him “Do I want to know what it is?” she asked.

“Well, look at what this tool is saying!”

She looked at the screen and back at Kurt “Are you sure that’s not Sebastian in disguise? Cause it sounds like him.”

He shook his head “No, it’s not Sebastian. Blaine told me it wasn’t.”

She nodded skeptically “Okay, then what’s your idea.”

“Well, I think that Blaine pay a little visit to Eli.”

She looked at him confused “What do you mean...you’re not even talking. How are you gonna pull that one.”

He sighed “Not really Blaine Rachel. US.”

“Are you insane?! That’s like crossing a line Kurt!”

He shook his head “No, it’s not crossing a line. Did I tell you that Blaine and I bumped into Chandler, and Blaine had set up the whole thing?”

“No...”

He smiled “You in or not? We’ll meet him at the Lima Bean, it’ll be my treat.”

She sighed “Fine, I’ll go but just to make sure you don’t make a complete ass of yourself.”

“Okay then.”

Blaine Anderson: Hey are you busy later?

Eli responded almost immediately.

Eli C: I knew it wouldn’t take long for you to come back. For you sexy, not at all ;)

He felt sick. “How long do you think it’ll take us to get to the Lima Bean?”

She thought for a moment, “Like 10-15 minutes why?”

Blaine Anderson: Can you meet me at the table by the window in the Lima bean in say, a half an hour?

Again, Eli’s reply was almost immediate.

Eli C: Absolutely.
Eli C: See you then Sexy.

He smiled, his plan was set and he deleted those few messages and they made their way to the Lima Bean. Kurt bought their coffee’s and they waited for Eli to show up.

Finally, he did and when he came over Kurt looked at him. He was tall, and a bit built, like Sam or Puck. “Eli?” he asked.

Eli looked at him “Uh, yeah?”

“You have no idea who I am do you?”

Eli was a little confused “No...should I?”

He looked at Rachel, who nodded “Yeah, considering you’re the main reason my relationship is going to end.”

Eli’s eyes widened “Fuck...you’re Kurt aren’t you.”

He nodded “Yes, and this is Rachel. Can you sit down I want to speak with you?”

Eli looked at him warily. “Depends, are you going to kick my ass?”

He shook his head “No, I’m not a violent person. I just want to talk.”

Eli nodded and sat down. “Uh, what do you want to talk about?”

“Do I even need to say it? You damn well know the reason why I’m here.”

Eli sighed “Look, I met Blaine at a party with my neighbor Jeff, you probably know him.” He nodded “I thought he was cute, so I hit on him. He was oblivious to it pretty much.” He chuckled, that sounds like Blaine. “But I talked to him and we exchanged numbers. He was talking about how much he missed you and how he felt you were slipping away. So we got to talking and flirting.”

“Even though you knew he was in a relationship?”

Eli nodded “Yes, He flirted back so I’m not completely at fault here.”

He was really getting mad at this guy. “So you slept with my boyfriend when you knew he had a boyfriend?”

Eli looked at him confused. “What the hell you talking about?”

He looked at Rachel then back at Eli, was he insane? “Uh, you slept with my boyfriend.”

Eli shook his head “No, we didn’t get that far.”

“I don’t believe you...”

Eli sighed. “Look, we talked about this a little bit after I got your message. Just go on his account again and see for yourself.”

He nodded “Yeah...okay.”

Eli looked at his watch. “I’m gonna go cause this is getting awkward.”

He nodded and said “Yeah okay and Eli?” Eli looked up at him “Can you, not say anything to Blaine, he uh doesn’t know I’m here right now and I want to talk to him about this.”

Eli looked skeptical. “I don’t know...”

“You might have ruined my relationship with the man I love more than life itself, you owe me that much!”

Eli sighed “Fair enough, I won’t say anything.” Eli got up and went to leave but turned and faced him “Kurt.” He looked over at him “Blaine, loves you. He really loves you.” He nodded and Eli left.

Eli C: Dude! All we did was make out! Nothing else!
Blaine Anderson: No, it was still cheating! Whether we had sex or not. We made out, you didn’t see him Eli, he was so hurt. I honestly hate myself and I will probably never forgive myself for this.
Eli C: Dude, quit being such a drama queen! You didn’t cheat on him. We weren’t even shirtless!
Blaine Anderson: No it was cheating! I kissed someone that wasn’t my boyfriend. You are not Kurt! Look Eli, you’re great. You’ve been a great listener when he wasn’t there. But even though I didn’t sleep with you I kissed you. I don’t want to lose Kurt. I can’t lose him. So I think it’d be best if we don’t speak anymore.
Eli C: Whatever dude, you’re loss.

He stared at the computer screen crying. “R-Rachel, l-look.”

She looked at the screen and at him “Oh my god...he didn’t sleep with him.”

He nodded “No, he didn’t. Rachel, I-I don’t know what to do. It was a big misunderstanding!”

“Kurt, he still cheated on you though!”

He nodded “I know that! But, they didn’t go any farther than making out. Rachel, he hates himself!”

“He should though!”

He stared at her shocked “Rachel!”

She shook her head “Listen, he hurt you, don’t think I didn’t hear you crying yourself to sleep for the past few days. I know you did.”

He nodded “Yes, but you didn’t hear the sincerity in his voice Rach.”

She sighed “Look, I just want you to be happy. So just do what you need to.”

He nodded “I will, what about you and Finn?”

She sighed “Honestly, I’m ending it. I can’t deal with it anymore. I love him but I can’t.”

He nodded “Yeah, I understand that. He’s probably going to need someone after so, I’m gonna stay here a few days, if that’s okay?”

She nodded “Yeah, it’s fine.”

“I mean, I know you have school and everything and I know you can’t miss that, especially with Crazy July always on your back. I’ll call in with Isabelle, it’s the weekend so not much will be going on.”

She nodded “Yeah, I’ll be fine. I’ll just see Brody if I need to.”

He smiled sadly “Just call me or text me if you need me and I’ll skype okay?”

She smiled “Yeah.”

Kurt dropped off Rachel at her house. “I’ll call you later tonight okay?”

She nodded “You better! Tell me how it goes. Can you let me know if Finn’s home?”

“Of course! Yeah I’ll text you.”

The taxi dropped Kurt off at his house. He went inside “Hello? Dad, Carole? Finn?”

He went into the living room and saw that they were in the living room.

Burt stood up “Kurt!” he said excitedly “Hey kiddo!”

He hugged his dad tightly. He hadn’t been gone that long, a little over two months, but he missed him so much. He buried his nose in his neck, and started to cry. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too, Kiddo.” Burt replied letting go of his son.

He sighed “Did uh, Finn tell you?”

Burt looked at him “About Rachel? Yeah I know.”

He shook his head “No, not that...” he said as he bit his lip nervously. He wasn’t sure if he should tell him.

Burt was concerned now, there was something wrong and he knew his dad could tell. “What happened?”

He took a deep breath, “Blaine...he uh...he cheated on m-me.” he said before he started to cry, he didn’t think he could cry anymore considering how much he’d cried over the past few days.

Burt stood up “He’s dead.”

He shook his head “No, Dad don’t.”

Burt stared at his son. “Kurt, he cheated on you! He hurt you! Nobody hurts my boy. What’d he do? Sleep with someone?”

He sighed “He uh, he told me he hooked up with some guy named Eli, who I talked to...I might’ve hacked Blaine’s facebook to see who it was. I got him to come to the Lima Bean and he said that he did come to his house but he didn’t get that far.”

Burt looked at him with a confused expression on his face. “Okay...so what happened?”

“They made out, but Blaine left before they went any further.”

“That’s still cheating Kurt.” Burt said after he explained.

“I know, but Dad, he hates himself! I want to hate him Dad, I do but I can’t! I love him too much to hate him. I know what he did was wrong, so wrong. But it was partially my fault. I wasn’t a good boyfriend, I wasn’t paying attention to him and only talking about me.” Tears filled his eyes as he continued “I-I broke my promise Dad, I said goodbye to him and he was alone. I promised him I wouldn’t say goodbye to him and leave him alone.” he said right before burying his head in his hands crying.

“C’mere Kurt.” Burt said as he pulled his crying son into his arms. “What Blaine did was wrong and I’m really mad at him right now because he hurt you. You’re my little boy. Even though you’ve been busy, that doesn’t excuse him for what he did. There are no excuses for cheating Kurt, ever.”

He nodded “I know that Dad, I do. But it wasn’t as bad as he had made it seem. He said he had a hook up, so of course I figured he’d slept with him.”

“He didn’t sleep with him?”

He shook his head. “N-no, he didn’t. All they did was make-out, he left before they got any further.”

“So what are you going to do?”

He shrugged “I don’t know Dad, I really don’t know.” He looked at him. “What do I do?”

Burt sighed “Kurt, I can’t make that decision for you. That’s one you have to make.”

He nodded “I just...I don’t know anymore.”

“Do you love him?”

He nodded. “I do, more than anything.”

“You do?”

“Yeah.” he said softly “I know what he did was wrong but honestly, I’ve never felt so alone and hurt.” he sighed “I felt like I was gonna die Dad,” he shook his head trying to hold the tears back. “I want to hate him, but I can’t...I was going to break up with him until earlier when I found out that all they did was make out.”

Burt nodded. “And now?”

He sighed. “Now, I’m not sure.”

“I want you to do something for me, I helped your Uncle Andy with something like this. Close your eyes. I want you to picture where you are in a few years. Who’s with you and where are you?”

He closed his eyes and pictured it. Tears fell from his eyes when he knew what he had to do. “I know what I need to do.”

“I know that you’ll do what you think is best.”

He nodded “Thank you Dad.”

“You’re welcome Kiddo.”

He hugged him. “Oh! Where’s Finn?”

“He’s up at McKinley working with Glee.”

He nodded making a mental note to text Rachel. He sighed. “It was a long flight, so I’m gonna go freshen up and head over to McKinley.”

“Okay Kiddo.”

“I love you dad.”

“I love you too Kurt.”

He went upstairs and texted Rachel.

He’s at McKinley. ~Kurt

He got into the shower and thought about how he was going to do this. Once he got out and moisturized he knew what he had to do. He needed to make sure that he was there though, so he texted Finn.

Finn, is Blaine at school today? ~Kurt
Yeah, and no I didn’t beat him up in case you were wondering ~Finn
Good, cause even though he’s tiny and you played football he’d kick your ass. Can you do me a favor?~ Kurt
I guess, what’s up? ~Finn
Can you get him to the auditorium in like 20 minutes or when I text you? Don’t tell him I’m here~Kurt
Yeah, I can do that. And don’t worry I won’t.~Finn

He smiled and knew exactly what he was gonna do. He grabbed his keys and went to his car and drove over to the school.

I’m at the school.~Kurt
He’s in the auditorium now, I’m with him. Get here ASAP.~Finn
His heart dropped, that worried him. Uh, is everything okay?~Kurt
Yeah just get here.~Finn

He got out of his car and ran into the school and Finn was waiting outside of it. “Finn, what’s going on?” he asked

“Just, go in, he has no idea you’re here.” Finn said literally pushing him through the auditorium doors.

“Whenever you’re ready Blaine, we’re filming.” said Artie.

He stayed as quiet as possible not making himself known, curious as to what Blaine’s up to.

Blaine stood in front of the camera. “Hey Kurt, uh. It’s me. I know you don’t want to talk to me, and honestly, I don’t know what to say. You and I both know how I am with talking about my feelings.” Blaine chuckled and continued “I honestly hope you’re watching this, cause I know Rachel’s in town and I’m gonna give it to her. But uh, I love you Kurt, more than anything. Just...listen to these songs please?”

Blaine smiled tearfully and pointed at the band who started playing the beginning of Mine, with Tina, Sugar and Marley in the back.

Of course Blaine would sing to him, of course he would, and he knows how much he doesn’t like Taylor Swift.

He smiled, remembering when they did their first summer together at Blaine’s lakehouse.

Sadie Hawkin’s dance, thats one of the reasons it took him so long to ask him out.

He’s emphasized the word best and mine, he knows he’s being sincere about this song. Just by the emotion.

Blaine closed his eyes as he continued, looking like he’s remembering everything they’ve been through, every memory.

Kurt remembered, of course he remembered, their trip to New York and they looked over the hudson River and the lights were shining.

Blaine’s voice was shaking as he sang, he was remembering that night in New York...

Blaine had to pause for a moment collecting himself, and he knew why, cause Kurt did say that he’d never be alone, and he was.

That’s exactly what Kurt intended to do.

Tears were freely falling down Blaine’s cheeks as he finished the song, Kurt was crying too. Blaine cleared his throat “Um, I know you don’t like Taylor Swift but, this song, it’s true for me Kurt. You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. And, I-I know that since you haven’t talked to me at all since I left, that I’ve probably lost you.”

Blaine wiped his eyes “I want you to know that I love you so much, more than anything. And I wish more than anything that I could go back in time and change and take back what I did.” Blaine's lips started trembling “But, I c-can’t! And I’m so so sorry about what I did to you, hurting you was something I never wanted to do. I am probably never going to forgive myself for hurting you. You’re well, I guess ex-boyfriend but you’re the love of my life and my best friend. If there is anything I can do to even be friends with you if nothing else, just tell me. I need you in my life Kurt, you’re my best friend, nobody understands me like you do.”

Blaine sighed and wiped his eyes again. “I love you Kurt.” Blaine smiled tearfully in the camera and Artie shut it off. “Thanks Artie, I think I’m just gonna sit in here for a bit.”

Artie nodded “You’re welcome Blaine, alright.” Artie smiled a little bit and rolled away.

He could tell that Blaine was being sincere, and he knew Finn and the other band members on the stage who are packing up know what he’s doing. He saw Blaine just sit on the stage and just stared at his hands and pulled his knees to his chest and cried. He couldn’t take this anymore. He pulled out his phone.

Finn are you guys ready?~Kurt
Yeah, we’re ready.~Finn
He smiled and put his phone away and took a deep breath and moved from his seat in the very back of the auditorium.

Finn and the band walked on playing and Blaine looked up with his eyes widened. Kurt was the last person he’s expecting

He knew this was gonna be hard for him to sing, and for Blaine to hear, it was the first song they sang together as a couple.

He started walking over to Blaine slowly. Blaine was in tears, he was shocked he was there and nervous because he had no idea why he was there or singing to him, especially this song.

As he walked he noticed Blaine’s facial expression when he sang the last part, he looked scared and heartbroken. But he continued, trying to keep his tears at bay.

He hoped that Blaine was getting what he was trying to say, they were both pretty good at expressing their feelings through song.

Blaine hadn’t stopped crying since he saw him, and had been awake with nothing but that since it happened.

He got to the stage and was at one end and Blaine on the other. He motioned for him to stand and he did, but stood where he was.

He moved over to Blaine as he continued singing, crying a little bit.

Finn and the band made themselves scarce once Kurt finished singing. They just stared at each other for a minute. Until Blaine broke the silence “W-what are you doing here?”

He sighed, “I needed to talk to you, and it wasn’t something I wanted to do over the phone or skype.”

Blaine nodded “O-okay.” Blaine looked at him, “Ho-how long have you been here?”

“I got here earlier and I saw all of your performance. It was beautiful Blaine.”

Blaine smiled tearfully “Thank you.” he smiled “Even though it was Taylor Swift?”

He chuckled “Even though it was Taylor Swift.” He shook his head “Uh, I’ve done some thinking and crying since you left and a little digging as well...I met Eli...”

Blaine’s head shot up “Oh no...what’d he tell you?”

He sighed “That you love me.”

Blaine nodded “Well, yeah I do.”

He nodded “I know you do.” He said smiling at him. “But, I wanted to find out how long this whole thing with Eli, was going on.”

Blaine’s heart sank. “You-you went on my facebook didn’t you..”

He nodded. “Y-yeah I did. After you left the apartment.” he said guiltily.

“I see.”

He looked down at his hands guiltily “I’m sorry, I wanted to know how long it was going on.” He looked back at Blaine. continuing “You hooked up with him and still skyped with me. You have no idea how hurt I was, and still am about that Blaine.”

“I’m sorry Kurt...”

He looked at him “I know, and I sent him a message as you and went to meet him at the Lima Bean.”

Fear was written over Blaine’s face. “Oh no...what did he tell you?”

“That you loved me.” He sighed “and the truth.”

Blaine was confused “I told you everything, I was with him Kurt.”

He nodded “I know you were Blaine,I know.” He moved closer to Blaine “But not the whole truth.”

“I don’t follow.”

He sighed “You didn’t sleep with him Blaine.”

Blaine nodded “Yeah I know I didn’t.”

“That’s what hooking up means Blaine, if you sleep with someone.” he explained wiping a tear from his eyes..

“But, I went there with the intention to sleep with him, we made out and grinded a little bit.” Blaine said tearfully


“I know you did. I want to be honest with you.” he said. “I came here with the intention to break up with you.”

Blaine choked back on a sob, but tears kept falling. “I-I wouldn’t blame you.”

“But.” he continued “Then I went to the Lima Bean and found out what really happened, and went back to my house and talked to my dad. He told me to close my eyes and picture where I was and who I was with three years from now. You know what I saw?” Blaine shook his head and he took his hand. “You.” he said. “Whenever I picture my future, you’re there with me, holding my hand and telling me you love me.” He looked at Blaine, “I wanted to hate you Blaine, for what you did. But I couldn’t! I love you too much.”

“I love you too.” Blaine sobbed. “W-what are you saying?”

He sighed “I love you Blaine, I love you so much. I can’t picture myself without you. You’re my missing puzzle piece. You weren’t the only one at fault with this whole thing.”

“No Kurt I w-” He hushed him and continued “I wasn’t being a good boyfriend to you Blaine, I lost sight and couldn’t see anything but me and kept talking about myself and New York and ignoring your calls and I didn’t see how much you were hurting without me. I wasn’t there, and I am so sorry I wasn’t Blaine.” He sobbed.

Blaine looked at him sobbing, “N-no. You listen to me, this wasn’t your fault! I made a stupid mistake and lost you. I was being selfish and not realizing that you were busy with Vogue, I’m so proud of you getting that job.”

He nodded “I know you are, thank you. I’m proud of you getting elected. You’ll make the changes that I wanted to happen, happen now.”

“S-so where does that l-leave us?” Blaine asked, nervously not knowing if he wanted to hear the answer.

He took Blaines hands. “I miss you, and I feel like part of me is missing, and it’s you. I need you Blaine.” he sobbed and hugged him.

“Kurt...” Blaine said surprised.

He let go of Blaine and held his cheeks and said “I-It’s not going to go exactly as it was before right away. I-I need to learn to trust you again. Even if y-you didn’t go all the way with Eli, you still cheated on me. But I can’t not be without you Blaine, I love you.” He sobbed.

“Y-you want to s-stay with me?” Blaine asked.

He nodded “Y-yes,I love you.” he sobbed.

That’s when the dam broke and Blaine just sobbed, shocked he’s getting another chance with him. He pulled Blaine into his arms and held him close “I love you Blaine, I-I love you.”

Blaine gripped him like a lifeline “I love you too. T-th-thank you.” Blaine sobbed and kissed him quickly and Kurt buried his head in the crook of Blaine's neck sobbing.

He felt at ease for the first time in days, this was where he belonged.“I won’t mess up this time. I’m not losing you again. I love you.” Blaine whispered tearfully.

“Good, I can’t go through that again. I felt so lost, Blaine.”he whispered

He pulled his head from the crook of Blaine’s neck and pulled him into a kiss and rested his forehead against his and said “You won’t. I love you too.” He smiled through his tears and pulled his boyfriend, into a kiss filled with promise and hope for the future, it wouldn’t be easy they still had some problems to work out, but that could wait. They’d lost sight and couldn’t see what they had once Kurt moved, and almost lost each other, never again.
