Author's Notes: For (http://kurtblaine.tumblr.com) Alicia (tumblr user kurtblaine), who asked for "Kurt and Blaine being cute and sleepy together." This sort of grew out of control from that. She never specified anything else, such astime frame/etc, so I decided to place this about a year after Blaine wouldhypotheticallygraduate from NYADA (so Blaine is 23, Kurt is 24).

"–today goodbye, and point me toward tomorrow–"

Blaine suddenly shifted closer, face half-buried in Kurt's shoulder, and mumbled something entirely unintelligible.

Kurt, who had been half-asleep himself, opened his eyes and smiled fondly down at his husband. He leaned forward and pressed a kiss against Blaine's forehead. "Are you going to make it to the end of the movie?"

"Course I am," Blaine mumbled. A second later he opened his eyes and mock-glared up at Kurt. "Besides, you 'ere already sleeping. I lasted way longer than you did."

"This is the first time thatI'veever fallen asleep during our movie night," Kurt replied defensively, reaching out a hand to tangle his fingers with Blaine's. He then pressed another, longer kiss against his husband's forehead and moved back into his original position. "Besides, you fall asleep every time that we watchA Chorus Line. Have you actually everseenthe end of the film?"

Blaine was suspiciously silent.

"That's what I thought," Kurt replied smugly, eyes fluttering closed again.

A good ten minutes must passed in total silence, save forA Chorus Lineplaying lowly in the background, before Kurt again awoke, this time to the feeling of something lightly brushing against his neck. After a moment of deliberation, he opened his eyes and blearily looked down at his husband, who was busy pressing a line of small, open-mouth kisses along neckline.

"What're you doin'?"

Blaine mumbled something incomprehensible against the curve of Kurt's neck, and he let out a small sequel of surprise at the sensation.

"Blaine," he hissed, eyes drifting nervously towards the doorway. "You know that we can't –"

He pulled away from Kurt's neck and blinked a few times. "I know," Blaine finally said, yawning loudly. He curled into Kurt, one arm coming up to wrap around his torso, and snuggled close. "I'm too tired, anyway. I just really, reallylove you."

"I love you too," said Kurt, his lips curving into a warm smile. "You're an idiot, though."

"Your idiot," Blaine agreed happily, nuzzling into Kurt's shoulder and already half-asleep again.

Kurt hummed in agreement and, once he was completely sure that his husband was once again asleep, turned his attention back to the movie. Every now and then, he would absent-mindedly run his fingers through Blaine's curls and lean forward to brush a soft kiss against the top of his head.

A good fifteen minutes had to have passed like this before Kurt heard a shuffling noise in the hallway. Kurt did not turn his attention away from the television, but his lips slowly curled into an amused smile as he waited for the intruder to make their presence known. About two minutes passed in complete silence, and then –

"Uncle Kurt?"

He turned to glance at the doorway, where his four-year-old nephew, Jamie, was standing nervously.

"Yes?"

"I can't sleep," Jamie mumbled, kicking his feet and staring down at the ground.

Kurt sat up a bit straighter, careful not to disturb Blaine, and gave the little boy a reassuring smile. "Come here, sweetie."

Jamie hesitated for a split second before slowly shuffling into the living room. It took all of Kurt's willpower to keep from laughing as a stuffed panda bear ("Bernard," Jamie insisted, "his name isBernard, Uncle Kurt!") that was atleastthree times larger than Jamie himself was – a gift from Blaine the year before, for the momentous occasion of Jamie's third birthday – came into view behind him.

The little boy never went anywhere without it.

Kurt reached out with his free hand and pulled his nephew closer, positioning the little boy directly in front of him.

"Now," Kurt asked softly, giving him a reassuring smile. "Why can't you sleep?"

"I had a nightmare," Jamie said sadly, blinking up at his uncle with wide blue eyes. He then immediately reached up with his free hand and tugged nervously at a strand of his bright-red hair. "I got really scared."

Kurt was, not for the first time, suddenly struck by just how much like his parents Jamie looked – and, well, wasn'tthatstill the most bizarre thing in the entire universe? As far as relationships went, it was pretty difficult to shock Kurt; having been a member of the New Directions, he had seen some seriously weird pairings throughout the years. But if there had been one pairing he never, everwould have expected, it had most definitely been that of Cooper and Emma Pillsbury-Anderson.

After running out on Will Schuester the day of their wedding, Emma had withdrawn completely from everyone. At the end of the school year, the guidance counselor had turned in her resignation and then disappeared completely.

No one had ever thought they'd see her again.

So imagine Kurt's surprise when, less than a year later, an overly-excited Cooper had unexpectedly dropped in to introduce them to hisnew wife(Kurt could still remember, with absolutely vivid clarity, the momentous hissy fit that Blaine had thrown when he'd found out his brother had eloped without him), a bashful-looking Emma trying desperately to hide behind him. Apparently, they had run into each other when Cooper came back for Blaine's graduation, and had kept in touch, growing closer and closer each day.

While Kurt had his reservations about the relationship at first, even he had eventually admitted that the two seemed to make each other very, very happy. Cooper never made fun of Emma's OCD, and while he genuinely seemed to want her to get better, he never pushed her. In turn, Emma seemed to be the only person on the planet who could tolerate Cooper's borderline-narcissism. They were a strange pairing, yes, but they were also as disgustingly in love with one another as Kurt was with Blaine, and Kurt knew better than anyone that love worked in mysterious ways.

"Is Uncle Blaine dead?"

Kurt was pulled from his thoughts by the innocent question. "I'm sorry, what?"

Jamie reached out with his free hand to again poke at Blaine – who did not stir in the slightest – and then turned a very serious look back on Kurt. "I asked if Uncle Blaine was dead," Jamie said. "He's not moving."

Kurt barely managed to keep from laughing. "I promise that he's fine," Kurt said, pulling the little boy closer. "He's just a deep sleeper."

"'Kay," Jamie mumbled, "if you say so."

"'asit goin on?"

Jamie and Kurt both turned to see Blaine sit up a bit, looking at them in obvious confusion.

"Jamie had a nightmare," Kurt said cheerfully. "Then he thought you were dead."

Blaine blinked a few more times as he tried to think, clearly still half-asleep. "I'm not dead?"

"Brilliant deduction," Kurt said dryly, rolling his eyes at his husband.

"I am far too tired to tell if that's sarcasm or not," Blaine finally admitted, still looking completely baffled.

Kurt moved forward and pressed a firm kiss against Blaine's mouth. "You're lucky that you're cute," he whispered against his lips, grinning. He then stood and offered a hand to Jamie. "Let's get you back to bed, sweetie."

Jamie shook his head furiously, red curls bouncing. "I don't wanna be alone," he whispered. "Can I sleep with you and Uncle Blaine?"

"Sure," Blaine agreed, shrugging.

Jamie let out an excited screech and immediately ran down the hallway towards their bedroom, dragging Bernard along behind him.

Kurt gave Blaine an amused look. "You know we're going to have to sleep with the panda, too, right?"

"Bernard is super comfy," Blaine replied, stumbling a bit as he wandered over to where Kurt was standing. He put one hand on Kurt's shoulder to steady himself and rubbed at his eyes with the other. "Bernard's like the size of a full-body pillow. I don't see how this is a bad thing."

Kurt rolled his eyes. "We'll see how you feel about that in a week, Blaine. Cooper and Emma don't get back from their anniversary cruise until Friday. You know he's going to do this every night, right?"

Blaine leaned forward to kiss Kurt, an action that would have been romantic, had the curly-haired man not stumbled on thin air and nearly knocked Kurt to the ground.

"Steady there, lover boy," Kurt laughed, reaching out to balance his husband.

"I'm tired," Blaine pouted, staring up at Kurt with wide brown eyes.

"I am, too," Kurt assured him. "Let's get to bed, hun."

"'Kay," Blaine mumbled sleepily, letting Kurt steer him towards the bedroom, where Kurt could hear his nephew bouncing excitedly on the bed. "I love you."

"I love you, too."
