Kurt was sitting in The Lima Bean waiting for his boyfriend to arrive. It was Summer which meant neither of them had school so they could spend all day together. Blaine had tried out to perform at Six Flags but in Kurt's opinion the auditioning panel was crazy as they had not given Blaine a role as they considered him "too top 40".
The door to the main entrance opened. Kurt could see all the females turn to look at the person who had entered. That meant it was Blaine. He was getting fed up with this reaction towards his boyfriend. He could admit to himself it was jealousy. Kurt had always envied Gay people who could pass as straight. He had always been too effeminate to be identified as anything but gay and now he was in love with Blaine. Blaine could easily pass off as straight. He had wonderfully dark eyes that when you talked to him showed he was truly listening. Blaine spotted where Kurt was sitting and broke out a huge smile; Kurt thought he saw a girl actually faint. Oblivious to it all Blaine walked over and sat down opposite to Kurt.
"Hey, handsome. Can we talk I've got something I want to talk to you about?" Oh my god he's going to break up with me thought Kurt.
"Yeahhh umm can we go back to my place I don't really feel like being around people today?"
"Sure. Did Carol drop you off? I couldn't see your car."
Kurt explained that as he knew Blaine would be driving he thought he would leave his car at home. The two boys grabbed their belongings and got into the car. As Blaine drove to the Hummel-Hudson house he tried to engage his boyfriend in conversation but got nowhere. Soon as they arrived Kurt jumped out of the car, went to the kitchen poured the two of them a glasses of lemonade before sitting on the patio outside. Blaine sat next to him.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Kurt please. We've always been completely honest with each other let's not start lying to one another. I can tell your upset please let me help."
Kurt let out a long exasperated sigh. He knew Blaine wasn't going to drop this.
"I'm envious of you. I hate the fact you could pass off as being straight so easily. When you walk into a room all the girls notice. I just wish I wasn't so effeminate maybe if I wasn't I wouldn't have the crap kicked out of so regularly."
Blaine looked aghast.
"I don't know how you can feel that way. You're fabulous just the way you are. I love you."
Blaine gently placed Kurt's hands in his and looked him squarely in the eyes. He started to sing.
Kurt's POV
Made a wrong turn, once or twice
Dug my way out, blood and fire
Bad decisions, that's alright
Welcome to my silly life
I know he's thinking about how he was so clueless for so long but we found each other in the end.
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss 'No way, it's all good', it didn't slow me down
Mistaken, always second guessing, underestimated
Look, I'm still around
He's talking about how he got through the bullying and found a safe place in Dalton.
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than less than perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing
You are perfect to me!
You're so mean, when you talk about yourself, you were wrong
Change the voices in your head, make them like you instead
So complicated, look happy, you'll make it!
Filled with so much hatred... such a tired game
It's enough! I've done all I can think of
Chased down all my demons, I've seen you do the same
He's right we have fought so much individually and together as a team.
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than less than perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing
You are perfect to me!
The whole world's scared so I swallow the fear
The only thing I should be drinking is an ice cold beer
So cool in line, and we try try try,
But we try too hard and it's a waste of my time
Done looking for the critics, cause they're everywhere
They don't like my jeans, they don't get my hair
Exchange ourselves, and we do it all the time
Why do we do that? Why do I do that?
Why do I do that..?
As long as we're together no one can break us. If they can't except us for what we are then screw them it's their problem not ours.
Yeah, oh, oh baby, pretty baby..!
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than less than perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel
Like you're nothing, you're perfect to me
You're perfect, you're perfect!
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing
You are perfect to me!
Blaine leaned forward placing a chase kiss on my lips.
"I love you."
"I love you too. You just dig Pink don't yah?"
"I don't know there's a few of her songs I will never sing to you cause I'm on no occasion leaving you."
"So you not dumping me then?"
"WHAT! No never. You're stuck with me until my dying breath. Why would you think that?"
"You said you wanted to talk about something. That's usually code for we're through."
"I've got some great news that's all."
Third Person POV
Blaine started to rub the back of Kurt's hands slowly.
"I'm leaving Dalton. My Mum has a new job as a School Nurse so we're moving house and I'm going to her school. She was just fed up of working in the ER with all the drunks coming in on a Friday night. Dad works from home anyway so it doesn't really matter where we live to him but it means we're closer to Mum's school. I'm so excited the school has one of the best Glee clubs in the Country. They made it to Nationals this year."
"OH MY GOD! You're not joining Vocal Adrenaline are you?"
"No. I'm joining The New Directions. I'm going to Mckinley."
Before Kurt could react the back door flew open. Rachel dragged Finn outside then engulfed the three boys in a group hug. She then started screeching at the top of her voice.
"This is fantastic! With you on board Blaine, we're going to be unstoppable!"
When the three boys finally broke free Rachel dragged Blaine into the sitting room to discuss songs they could sing together.
Finn sat next to his brother.
"Sorry. We were only listening in cause we saw how distraught you looked. Soon as we heard he was coming to Mckinley there was no stopping her. You know what she's like."
Kurt smiled. Both brothers sat looking at their partners getting animated about songs they could sing. Finn looked at his brother.
"Man, you do realise the two of us are never getting a solo again now Blaine's part of the team?"
"Yeah but imagine the duets we'll have."
