This was it.
Kurt stared at the invitation for a long time, thinking that if he stared for just a minute longer, he'd wake up in his New York penthouse, alarm signaling a new day. But the words never changed. He was fully awake.
Kurt remembers Blaine Anderson. Nobody ever forgets their first love and Kurt was no exception. He rememberd vividly the winding staircase at Dalton Academy, the bright-eyed boy that texted him Courage at the right times throughout the day. The first real kiss that made his head spin. The first dance he had with a boy in front of his whole school, crown on top of his head. His first time that made him feel so special.
He remembered it all. But things went downhill too fast. Blaine couldn't handle the lost distance. Blaine had been accepted to a school in Los Angeles. Blaine had left him.
Kurt believes in soulmates. He knew Blaine was his soulmate. No matter what had happened between them, Kurt new Blaine was his. But why couldn't his life be like those in movies? Why couldn't he wake up next to his soulmate every morning? Why wasn't his name on this tiny piece of paper instead?
