Author's Notes: This was my first one. i wrote it in october last year.
Click. His heart soared. Leaping off his chair, Kurt threw himself at the door. His heart pounding, he yanked it open with a smile. There stood Blaine, looking dapper as ever. Kurt threw himself into Blaine’s outstretched arms.
“I’ve missed you so much!” Kurt choked out, tears streaming down his face.
‘’I’ve missed you too Kurt.” Blaine pulled Kurt up for a gentle kiss. They swayed on Kurts doorstep, intertwined in each others arms. When Blaine broke away, his eyes were watery, and he had a huge smile on his face.
‘’Get a scarf on, Kurt. I wanna- I wanna go for a walk.’’ Blaine nudged Kurt. Kurt smiled, and ran off to grab his most fashionable scarf. Blaine stood there, playing with the ring in his left pocket, thinking about what he was going to say. He could barely breathe.
Kurt reappeared, wearing the newest scarf of his collection. Blaine grabbed Kurt’s left hand with his right, keeping the ring in a tight fist in his pocket.
“Blaine, I’m so glad that once school ended, you let your curly hair grow out. It’s so sexy!” Kurt gushed.
“Thanks,” Blaine kissed Kurt on the cheek, “Hair gel is a thing of the past. At least, for me.’’
‘’Blaine! Can we build a snowman?” Kurt’s eyes sparkled. Just as Blaine was about to reply, snow starting falling.
“Snow,” Kurt sighed, “How romantic.” Kurt leaned his head as much as he could on to Blaine’s short shoulder.
‘’Blaine?’’
“Yes, Kurt?’’ He could stay in this moment forever.
“I….I love you.” Kurt’s voice was soft. Blaine broke out into a grin almost too big for his face. He lifted Kurt into the air, spinning him. Kurt shrieked with laughter, “Blaine! Put me DOWN!!’’ Blaine immediately set him down, swiftly but gently.
‘’7 years later, and that still never gets old,’’ Blaine laughed. Kurt smiled at Blaine, who returned the smile. He was struggling to remain composed. Blaine’s hands were squeezing the ring so hard that Blaine was afraid he would break it. He loosened his grip on it ever so slightly.
‘’Ku-Kurt?’’ Blaine became timid. He was terrified, but he knew it was the right moment.
“Yes, Blaine?” Kurt replied, eyes sensing the carefulness of his voice.
‘’We’ve been together for…over 10 years now, and-and its obvious that we are….right for each other. And… even though the state doesn’t allow gay marriages,’’ Blaine took a deep breath and got down on one knee. Kurt’s jaw dropped. “Will you marry me, Kurt?” Kurt’s eyes filled with tears. He was trying to squeal, but no sound would leave his gaping mouth. He nodded, “YES! Blaine of course I’ll marry you!’’ Kurt exclaimed as Blaine got to his feet. Kurt tackled him, pushing him on to the snow. ‘’You’ve made me the happiest man in the world!’’ They both whispered to each other. They lay there, kissing and rolling around it the fresh blanket of snow that didn’t feel cold anymore. Nothing could ruin this moment of pure happiness for Kurt and Blaine.
End Notes: Thanks for the read :)
