"Just try not to do that anymore. You'd think you would've learned from what I told you of your father's experience back when we were younger. He got shut down and was permanently banned from any Gap stores within the area when he tried something like this." In which Kurt scolds Toronto Hummel-Anderson for pretty much following his dad's steps and serenading in a public place. And in which Blaine and Aaden have a few moments to themselves.

Author's Notes: So, this is pretty much the aftermath of mysillywritation's little plot bunny (in chapter 1) of Toronto serenading a girl he liked in the same way his dad serenaded Jeremiah at the Gap. Yeah, you can just imagine that little performance ended up playing out. Anyways, repercussions are clearly needed and who better than Kurt to give them? :P Enjoy! Disclaimer: I own some gLee music, not gLee. (Though, I'd love to own both.)

The Hummel-Anderson family got out of their car, talking animatedly and carrying various bags.  Kurt and Blaine had just picked up their sons from music camp and had finally arrived home.  Kurt was going off about Toronto’s many shenanigans as he was there.

“– and I still can’t believe you publically serenaded that girl.  And with that song, Tor!” Kurt scolded as he stepped through the threshold.  He clucked his tongue a few times as he set the sleeping bags aside on the floor.

“But, I totally got her number, Pa!” Toronto Hummel-Anderson replied, indignant.  He dropped his things as soon as he stepped into the house, kicking off his shoes and flopping into one of the sofas.  “Besides,” he continued from his place at the sofa, “Mr. Westlock only walked in by the end of it.”

Kurt could barely hear his husband murmur a proud and somewhat amused, “That’s my boy,” as he stepped into the house.  Kurt glared at Blaine, who turned away, clearly not wanting to get in the middle of this.  Instead, he helped their other son Aaden bring in the instruments the boys took for their time at the camp.

Kurt sighed, sitting next to his son on the sofa.  “Regardless, Torie.  You could’ve just asked her,” he suggested.

“Yeah, but she would’ve totally turned me down, Pa!” Toronto complained.  “I needed the extra ‘oomph’!”

“And that extra ‘oomph’ got you into trouble with her father, who witnessed the entire thing.”  Kurt suppressed another sigh; his son was going to give him premature wrinkles, he was sure of it.  “Toronto, I honestly don’t know how you’re gonna take that girl out for a date anymore.  Seeing as her father looked like he was prepared to burn you at the stake for coming on to his little girl,” Kurt reminded his oldest son.

Kurt’s eldest son huffed, slumping his head into his father’s shoulder.  “Not like you would’ve let him burn me…” Toronto muttered.

Kurt rolled his eyes.  “Of course not,” he snapped, “That man could steal Gucci’s latest collection before he laid a single finger on you.”

“I know,” was all his son said, and Kurt could practically feel Toronto’s smile as he said it.

He sighed again.  “Just… try not to do that anymore.  You’d think you would’ve learned from what I told you of your father’s experience back when we were younger.  He got shut down and was permanently banned from any Gap stores within the area when he tried something like this.”

“Yeah…” the sixteen year old trailed off, complete silence following his response.

Oh.  Okay.  Well.  That definitely wasn’t what Kurt was expecting.  He expected maybe a witty comeback, or another argument, perhaps a little teasing towards his dad – but not total agreement.

“… but I didn’t get shot down like Dad did.  I got her number!” his son continued, triumph clear in his voice.  “And, I’m still allowed to return to that food court!”

Kurt closed his eyes and groaned softly, leaning his head back against the couch.

“Regardless, you’re still grounded until school starts again, Tor.”

“Aw, come on!”

“Daddy?” Aaden called, poking his head into Kurt and Blaine’s room.  Kurt was still downstairs reprimanding Toronto about his (not so) little performance during camp.  Blaine was sitting on the bed, tuning his guitar as he giggled to himself at the conversation he was overhearing.  He should’ve been returning the sleeping bags to the garage, or dumping all their sons’ clothing into the nearest washing machine – but his guitar was definitely more important all those at the moment.  At least, Blaine thought so.

“Mhm?” Blaine answered, looking up from his guitar.  “What’s up, bud?”

Aaden padded over to the curly haired man and took a seat next to him on the bed.  “Is Papa mad at Torie?”

Blaine laughed softly, returning his attention back to his guitar.  “Yeah, you could say that, A.”

“Is it because him and Tyler and their friends sang that song in the food court?” the eight year old innocently asked.

“Yup.  All because of that,” Blaine replied.  He finished tuning his guitar and turned to face his son with a smile.  “Good thing you’re not a troublemaker like your brother, huh?”

“Mmhmm!” Aaden easily agreed, nodding excitedly.

In completely contrast to his older, wilder brother, Aaden loved being complimented for everything he did right.  According to family legend, it wasn’t far from a much younger Kurt, who also took praises like these with grace.  Blaine heard that when Finn found out about the fact, he called Kurt a “total goody good two shoes”.  Kurt neither confirmed nor denied the jab, only playfully punching his step-brother in the shoulder as a response.

“I’m a good boy, right Daddy?” Aaden asked, snapping Blaine out of his memories.

“Definitely, little man,” he said, reaching out to ruffle his son’s chestnut hair.  “Now, come on.  You wanna sing a song with Daddy?”

“Yeah!  Can you play that old one that Papa always sings?  Bad Romance?”

Blaine threw his head back and laughed.  Yeah, Aaden was definitely Kurt’s son.

End Notes: ... I still have no idea where this came from, nor do I know why I even chose to write it. All I know is that I had to.Oh well, hope you enjoyed! There's more Aaden and Toronto drama to come ;px o x o Just as Sane as I Am

Great!

I love the family dynamics and how easily you established them. Show, don't tell! You did what so many authors (fanfiction or not) fail to do, so kudos!

Really? Wooh, mission accomplished 8') Seriously though. Oh my God, thank you so much! :D -xoxo

Just like their daddies!
