"That meal was lovely, Carole," Blaine complimented politely from his seat next to Kurt at the dinner table. "This has been the best Christmas Eve ever."

"Thank you, dear," Carole grinned. "But I can't take all the credit; you and Kurt were a huge help."
"Can we open any presents yet?" Finn piped up hopefully.
"No! It's not Christmas yet." Burt reprimanded, much to the boy's disdain.
Kurt laughed and let his gaze wander to the window. He noticed with a thrill that it was snowing heavily, thick flakes swirling through the air. "Oh, no!" He feigned disappointment. "Blaine, look at the weather! You couldn't possibly be expected to drive home in that. Could he, Dad?" The boy raised his eyebrows hopefully, Blaine giving Burt a charming grin to persuade him.
"Of course not, kid. You know the rules, no funny business. But I think I can trust you both enough for Blaine to stay in Kurt's room, right?"
They both grinned and assured Burt that they were trust-worthy. Carole turned on the radio just as Let It Snow started playing. The boys jumped up and started singing along happily.

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Blaine twirled Kurt around and the latter giggled, shimmying sweetly as he sung. Finn grinned from his seat at the dinner table, bopping his head as he continued to eat.

It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I've bought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Burt took Carole's hand and danced slowly with her, and Kurt grinned. He couldn't have asked for a better step-mom, and he was so glad that his dad had found love again.

When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.

Burt pointed to the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling and kissed Carole on the cheek, who flushed happily. Kurt had just opened his mouth to laugh when he was pulled impossibly close to Blaine. His boyfriend's mouth was right next to his ear as he sang the last verse.

The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing,
But as long as you love me so,
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

The song ended gently, Finn clapping as Burt and Carole laughed and cheered.
"Best Christmas Eve ever," Blaine repeated in a whisper, capturing Kurt's lips in a sweet kiss. Kurt whole-heartedly agreed.
