...that he could hang there for eternity...
Author's Notes: Accompanying art can be found on my deviantART under the name 'Weightless'.
Blaine watched as Kurt tumbled through the two silk draperies, catching himself a foot, maybe two, from the floor. His parents had almost said 'no' to the road trip, but they'd come with him anyways in the end. Blaine’s mother was sitting to his left, watching intently as Kurt hung there, wrapped up in the silk draperies. Kurt looked as though he was weightless, that he could hang there for eternity, suspended only by those two silk draperies. Blaine watched as Kurt extended his left leg, slipping down even further towards the ground.
The rest of the audience was appreciating the performance, the languid grace of each move through the draperies, but Blaine clutched the bouquet of white roses as he watched Kurt glide through the silk. Blaine knew that Kurt knew what he was doing, but it didn’t stop his heart from racing each time Kurt dropped a little further down towards the ground. The song drew to a close, and Kurt spun in the draperies, twisting them just enough, and then holding on tight as he spun in the opposite direction. Blaine watched as the lights dimmed, and he could see the contentment on Kurt’s face as he dropped low to the ground, fingers on his outstretched hand winding into the draperies.
And Blaine decided that Kurt, whether he was wrapped up in the draperies or concealed behind his layers of clothes, was the most beautiful person he’d ever seen in his life.
