Author's Notes: Self harm warning! The song in this story is called 'Wild Horses' (Susan Boyle version) it's a really beautiful song so listen to it on youtube! :)
Blaine looked up at the dull grey sky. Watching the small clouds slowly drift by. He felt that familiar stinging behind his eyes.

"This wasn't supposed to happen, damn it." He covered his face with his hands, "You promised." He whispered.

~3 weeks earlier~

Blaine tickled Kurt's bare stomach softly. His glasz eyes fluttered open and he chuckled.

"Morning, Blaine."

"Good morning love." Blaine lay on his side next to Kurt, propping his head up on his fist.

"How long have you been up?" Kurt groggily asked while rubbing his tired eyes.

"Not long." Blaine smiled softly and placed a light kiss on Kurt's delicate nose, "I can't wait to wake up next to you every morning for the rest of my life."

Kurt blushed slightly, "I love you."

"I love you too. Please don't ever stop." Blaine said while twisting a soft lock of Kurt's hair around his index finger.

"I promise Blaine. I'll never leave you, okay?" He giggled as he got out of bed. He threw on one of Blaine's big warm hoodies over his naked body. Blaine got out of bed and padded over to where Kurt was now standing.

He wrapped his arms around Kurt's waist from behind and placed gentle kisses down his neck.

Kurt squirmed a bit and laughed, "Blaine that tickles!"

"Good, cause it's super cute when you giggle like that."

Kurt quickly turned to face Blaine and pushed their lips together almost desperately.

"Oh god Blaine." Kurt sighed when he broke the kiss and rested his forehead on Blaine's. He slowly intertwined their fingers together.

"What is it, babe?"

"The way you make me feel... so special. I-I don't deserve that." Kurt quietly said.

"Kurt, don't even say that. You deserve...everything. More than everything even." Blaine said forcefully.

"I dunno. I just...so many people just don't like me at school. I feel so alone. Except for when I'm with you. Just to know how many people hate you and want you dead... it hurts."

"Who the hell wants you dead?" Blaine sharply asked trying to sound strong but sounded more upset then anything.

Kurt sighed again, "Almost everyone at McKinley. Except for the glee club of course. And it's just because I'm gay..." His voice became shaky.

"Kurt. Screw them. They don't matter. They're missing out on the most amazing, talented, hilarious, gorgeous guy in this entire world." Blaine lifted Kurt's chin so their eyes locked, "Look at me. Screw. Them. And plus, if they don't like you, hey, more for me and the people who actually care for you."

They both smiled at eachother.

"Thank you Blaine." Kurt wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. He didn't want to let go but he knew he had to soon. It would be more hard then he ever imagined.

~~

Blaine awoke a day and a half later to the sound of his phone buzzing. He sleepily gazed at his alarm clock placed on his bedside table.

"Six a.m?" He frowned to himself and answered with a scratchy, tired, "Hello?"

"Blaine?! Oh thank god! Blaine something's happened!" A frantic voice yelled on the other line.

"M-Mr.Hummel? Hello?" Blaine asked a bit more awake.

"Yes Blaine it's me! Something's happened to Kurt. I just found him passed out on the bathroom floor with three empty bottles of pills! He tried to kill himself!"

Everything fell silent in Blaine's head. He felt as if he were slowly falling off a cliff into a dark nothingness. He couldn't see or hear anything. Then-

"Blaine?! Blaine are you there?"

"What do you mean he tried to kill himself..." Blaine tried to speak but it came out cracked and shaky.

"Just please come meet us at the hospital Blaine, please? They think it's been about three hours since he took the pills so I don't know what's going to happened. Just please get here?!" Burt pleaded.

"I'll be right there!" Blaine said before hanging up and dashing out of bed.

~~

"Thank god you're here Blaine!" Burt said as Blaine burst through the hospital room door.

"Oh my..." He softly said as he saw Kurt laying there in the hospital bed, "M-my Kurt." He felt tears quickly streaming down his cheeks.

"B-Blaine." Kurt quietly said, struggling to speak.

"Kurt? What'd you do..." Blaine choked out, "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" He yelled violently sobbing and shaking.

"Blaine I-"

"The doctors said it's too late. The pills...they've already done too much damage to my little boy." Burt softly cried.

Blaine looked over at Kurt who was silently crying into his hands.

"Blaine...dad I- I'm so sorry." He said through his muffled cries.

Blaine rushed to Kurt's side and kneeled next to bed and took both of his soft hands, "Why?!"

"Blaine I'm sorry!" More tears rushed out of Kurt's eyes,

"Damn it." Burt huffed out and turned away from both boys so they wouldn't see how hard he was crying.

"Why?!" Blaine asked again.

"Everyone at school! They told me to kill myself everyday! I can't deal with that anymore. I just did what they all wanted! Blaine I'm sor-"

"I DIDN'T WANT THIS KURT!" Blaine yelled and buried his head in the hospital sheets.

"Oh my god...I messed up. I don't want this anymore. I'm so sorry!" Kurt cried even harder.

He stopped, "Ow!" Kurt jerked a bit.

"What? What is it, what's happening?" Blaine looked up from the sheets in panic.

"My insides...they hurt. I'm dying." Kurt blinked as if he was beginning to realize everything.

"I can't watch my son die." Burt said still facing the wall.

"I just wanted to talk to mommy... Dad...I'm sorry..."

Burt just shook his head and his shoulders rose and fell quickly.

"Kurt please don't die!" Blaine desperately looked at Kurt's pale face.

"I'm sorry..." He whispered again.

"No...y-you promised! You promised you would NEVER leave me!" He yelled through loud, harsh sobs, "You were my first everything! We were going to get married and start a family and grow old! I was supposed to wake up next to you every morning!"

Kurt closed his eyes in sorrow, releasing a few tears.

"What am I gonna do now Kurt... what am I going to do without you." Blaine's tears that had drenched his cheeks had almost stopped falling. He calmly breathed in and out.

"I-I can feel myself leaving." Kurt said, "Blaine, I don't know why I did this to you guys. I'm so stupid."

Blaine shook his head no.

"Can you please just sing to me one more time, Blainey?" Kurt gently asked.

Blaine squeezed his eyes shut and nodded yes. He opened them and took a deep breath.

He got up and sat on the bed next to Kurt, still clutching his hands.

Blaine cleared his throat and thought of his favorite love song.

"Childhood living..." He softly sung, "It's easy to do... The things that you wanted, well I bought them for you. Graceless lady, you know who I am. You know I can't let you, just slide through my hands..." He choked up when he met eyes with Kurt's now dull ones. He was slowly leaving him.

"Blaine you don't have to-" Kurt began.

"Wild horses..." Blaine sang more loudly, " Couldn't drag me away... Wild horses, couldn't drag me away. I watched you suffer, a dull aching pain. Now you've decided, to show me the same. No sweeping exits, or offstage lines...could make me feel bitter, or treat you unkind..." Blaine broke down again. Fresh, hot tears poured out of his eyes and he sang louder, "Wild horses, couldn't drag me away. Wild horses, couldn't drag me away..." He collapsed onto Kurt's heaving chest sobbing.

"I know I dreamt you... a sin and a lie..." He heard Kurt's small, shaky voice sing. He looked up to face him. He kept softly singing to Blaine, placing a cold hand on his face, "And I have my freedom, but I don't have much time. Fate has been suffered... and tears must be cried. So let's do some living...after we die..." Kurt fell apart and they both strongly sang, "Wild horses, couldn't drag me away..."

Burt turned to them and quietly sang alone with them, "Wild horses, couldn't drag me away..."

"Away..." Kurt barely whispered with a dying, broken voice. "I love you guys." He mouthed as he drifted away.

"God damn it." Burt turned away again and sobbed into the wall as he punched it.

Blaine starred down at Kurt. This beautiful angle that was there one minute, then suddenly gone.

His chest fell up and down as he tried to keep his tears in. He leaned down and kissed his forehead lightly and gently rubbed the kiss in with his thumb.

"I love you too new kid."

Blaine looked up at the dull grey sky. Watching the small clouds slowly drift by. He felt that familiar stinging behind his eyes.

"This wasn't supposed to happen, damn it." He covered his face with his hands, "You promised." he whispered.

He looked up again at the clouds and squinted at the sun that was finally starting to come out. He spotted a big, white horse shaped cloud in the sky and smiled to himself. The smile quickly faded as his eyes began to water, "You promised."

Fin.
End Notes: Yeah sorry if this was really sad. It made me cry when I was writing it. There's gonna be kind of like a part two coming soon either called 'Without You' or 'Dreaming of You.' so look out for that. Thanks for reading :)
