"Hey, Kurt" Rachel said as she leaned against the locker next to him.
Kurt looked up "Oh hey, Rach, whats up?" He said as he continued to unload books into his locker.
"Oh nothing, just your brother being such a jerk about those pictures".
"Well think about if you were in his situation, would you like pictures of you like the one's of Finn posted all other the internet" Kurt said.
"Kurt, heres what you don't understand, I nee-" Rachel jumped slightly as her message tone went off and fished out her phone.
Kurt watched as she read the message and as her expression changed quickly.
"Oh my god"
"What is it?" Kurt asked, closing his locker.
"It's Karofsky, he's tried hanging himself, Tina's just texted me".
Kurt gasped. How could this have happened so soon? He'd talked to Karofsky not longer than two weeks ago an-.
And then it hit him. A rush of guilt travelled through Kurt immediately. This could have been his faught.
Firstly, what happened at breadsticks could have easily upset him, especially after that guy from his school saw him and Kurt together and could've told everyone that he was gay.
And secondly, not answering his calls had probably upset him even more. He might have needed advice or help with things and Kurt just ignored him.
He couldn't come to grips with the fact Karofsky of all people would even try doing something like that, Kurt couldn't bare to think about it.
Kurt felt sick. He could feel his tears start to build up.
"Kurt?" Rachel asked looking at the boy in concern "Are you OK?"
"Um, yeah, I just um - I'm going to go... somewhere" Kurt stammered before turning his back to Rachel and started walking down the hall.
He stopped when he reached the choir room. It was empty and couldn't think of any where better to go.
Kurt walked over to the far corner of the choir room and sat against the wall. He pulled his knee's into his chest and rested his head on his arms, allowing his tears to break free.
He could feel his tears soaking through his shirt sleeve but didn't care, he felt nothing but guilt.
Kurt must have been sat there for about ten minutes until he heard the door open.
"Kurt?" Kurt knew it was Blaine but remained still.
"Kurt?" Blaine said again.
Blaine heard a sniffling sound coming from the far corner and spotted Kurt straight away. He quietly made his way other to him.
"Oh, Kurt" Blaine said as he knelt down infront his boyfriend, placing a steady hand on his arm, rubbing it softly "Shhh, it's OK"
Kurt looked up at Blaine, his face was full of compassion.
"H-how did you f-find me?" Kurt said between sobs
Blaine removed a piece hair that had fallen out of Kurt's eyes and wiped away the remaining tears rolling down his cheek.
"I was looking for you" Blaine began "And Rachel told me that you seemed a little upset when you found out about Karofsky".
"It's my fault" Kurt voice was barely a whisper.
Blaine looked at him in shock.
"Kurt, how can you say that?"
"I s-said I didn't want to go out w-with him on valentines day and I've been ignoring his calls these last two w-weeks an-" Blaine pressed a finger to Kurt's lips.
"Kurt, you can't blame yourself for this, I won't let you" Blaine said before cupping Kurt's cheek.
"Sorry" Kurt whispered avoiding eye contact.
"And don't apologize" Blaine ordered "You've done nothing wrong, Kurt".
Blaine leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Kurt's lips.
"Kurt, I know what Karofsky did was terrible but I don't want you blaimg yourself this, so I want you to promise me you won't" Blaine lifted Kurt's chin so he was staring directly into his eyes.
Blaine could see Kurt was hesitant and pressed another kiss to Kurt's lips.
And after a few seconds Kurt spoke.
"I promise"
"Thank you" Blaine smiled before taking both of Kurt's hands and helping him up off the floor.
Blaine pulled Kurt in for a hug.
"Now, do you want me to take you home because I think it would be better if I did" Blaine suggested.
Kurt pulled away from Blaine and nodded.
Blaine smiled and took hold of Kurt's hand and led him out of the choir room.
