Blaine and Kurt looked over the side of the crib that Ben was lying peacefully in. It had been a long first day and needless to say they were both exhausted. They watched the boy's chest rise and fall as he slept. His brown hair stuck up from the static of the blankets. His fingers wrapped around a stuffed animal Blaine had handed him. His bright green eyes had practically snapped shut when Kurt had put him in the crib a few minutes earlier. 

Blaine smiled down at the small boy, his own hazel eyes shining as he watched his son. He was literally everything he wanted. It was like everything in his life had fallen into place. But some how he still didn't know how things were going to go. He's never been a dad before. Hell,  he didn't even have a good example to go after. His dad wasn't there. How was he supposed to raise a kid?!

Kurt stared over the side of the crib wondering if he could do this? Who even allowed him to become a father? When he was in high school he couldn't think of anyone but himself. Oh god, what if he did that now? What if Ben hated him? What if Blaine took Ben away from him? He couldn't even finish the panick attack he was starting because he could hear Blaine's voice pulling him from the freak out. 

"Are you scared?" He asked, barely above a terrified whisper. 

"Terrified." He responded in a small voice. 

Blaine reached over and grabbed Kurt's hand squeezing it tightly. "We'll be great." He said in a shaky voice. Not even sure of himself. 

"I think we will.." Kurt tried his best to reassure himself. 

Ben barely stirred in his sleep and they both looked over at the bed attentively. The small boy put his tiny thumb into his mouth. Kurt giggled when he thought of the same habit he'd had as a child. When he stopped moving he'd fallen back asleep. 

Blaine reached back over and squeezed Kurt's hand. "He's so amazing.." 

"You're gonna be such a good Daddy." He responded, looking Blaine in the eyes, his slowly filling with tears. 

"So are you.." Blaine assured him, leaning down and kissed his forehead. "I promise."
