Author's Notes: So, I recently beame obsessed with the song "Just give me a reason" by P!nk and Nate Ruess. I really liked it because of them at first, but the more I listened to it the more I felt like it really felt the Kurt and Blaine season four storyline. So I decided to write this. I'd recomend listening to this while you read, mostly because it's the song it's based off of P!nk - Just Give Me A Reason (Official Lyric Video). And because it's a really really good song.

They'd been back together for less than a year.

Less than twelve months of being in the same apartment together. And things were almost the same as they were before they'd gotten bad. They almost felt like they could be themselves again.

They talked all the time.

Right from the start

You were a thief

You stole my heart

And I your willing victim

I let you see the parts of me

That weren't all that pretty

And with every touch you fixed them

They talked about when they met. They talked about how Kurt cried the first time they had a conversation with each other. They talked about how Blaine cried the second time they talked, only choosing to have their conversation in his dorm room at Dalton, to prevent the rest of the students see their leader completely and utterly lose it over things that were two years in the past.

They remembered how Blaine slowly but surely made Kurt happy again. They remembered how Kurt helped Blaine become brave again. They remembered how they healed each other.

Now you've been talking in your sleep oh oh

Things you never say to me oh oh

Tell me that you've had enough

Of our love, our love

They'd been in the same house for less than a year the first time Kurt heard it.

He walked into their shared bedroom, taking off his shirt, peeling down the covers on his side of the bed. Blaine layed asleep on the bed, eyebrows furrowed. He twisted his body away from where Kurt was standing.

"I hate you." He mumbled into his pillow. "He doesn't mean anything to me. I swear." He rolled over to reveal his face still twisted in his sleep. "I'm so sorry." He slurred again.

Without knowing how to respond. Kurt slept on the couch that night.

Just give me a reason

Just a little bit's enough

Just a second we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

It's in the stars

It's been written in the scars on our hearts

We're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

He layed on the couch, knowing that it was his day he was free of classes, he decided he didn't need to get up early. He listened as his boyfriend hurried around the house getting his things together for his class. He closed his eyes in a way to mimick sleep. He didn't want to talk yet. He didn't even know what to think about what he'd heard.

Blaine stopped infront of the couch to see Kurt lying there. He smiled, under the impression that Kurt had just fallen asleep while working on some of his assignments for school. He leaned down onto the couch and kissed the brunette on the forehead.

"I love you."

I'm sorry I don't understand

Where all of this is coming from

I thought that we were fine

(Oh we had everything)

Your head is running wild again

My dear we still have everythin'

And it's all in your mind

The dreams still haunted him. He still woke up sometimes, tears streaming down his face, pancking because he was sure he'd lost him again. He'd look down to see Kurt tangled in their sheets, asleep with his hair pointing in several different directions.

He still saw the dissapointed, heartbroken, look on Kurt's face everytime he closed his eyes. He heard his own thoughts yelling at him, reminding him that they were perfect. Things were perfect. They were going to get married. And he was sure they still would some day. But now it was with just that much more baggage and hurt with the other.

He wondered if Kurt still didn't trust him. He wondered if everytime he brought home a new script for a scene he had to do in class that involved another guy, it bothered Kurt. He wondered if Kurt would ever fully trust him again.

You've been havin' real bad dreams oh oh

You used to lie so close to me oh oh

There's nothing more than empty sheets

Between our love, our love

Oh our love, our love

He pretended not to notice, but he did see the nights when Kurt would mumble Blaine's name in his sleep. He tried his best to remind Kurt that he was here now, and that it wouldn't happen again. But he knew that sometimes his reassurances didn't do anything. That words didn't mean anything.

Just give me a reason

Just a little bit's enough

Just a second we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

I never stopped

You're still written in the scars on my heart

You're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

Kurt tried his best not to worry when Blaine came home from class later than usual. He tried to remind himself that Blaine promised. He promised it would never happen again. He wouldn't ever let it get that far. But Kurt couldn't help but feel the dip in his stomach when Blaine wasn't home by eight like every other night. He hated the text messages he got telling him that he would be home late.

He couldn't help but feel like the times when he wasn't at home, something else was happening. He hated feeling that insecure about things. He hated feeling like he had no control of his life because the only thing he could think about was the possibility of Blaine going to someone else.

Oh tear ducts and rust

I'll fix it for us

We're collecting dust

But our love's enough

You're holding it in

You're pouring a drink

No nothing is as bad as it seems

We'll come clean

They'd been back together for less than a year when he finally lost it.

He'd dosed off on the couch just before the door at opened. His eyes snapped open to see Blaine trying to sneak around the door and close it quietly before Kurt noticed.

"You said you'd be home at five." He said quietly, his voice verging with the tears that were in his eyes.

Blaine put his hand on his forehead and tried his best to keep the cover that he'd planned on having. "I'm sorry babe I just-" He was cut off by Kurt.

"Please just tell me."

"Tell you what?"

"If you want out please just tell me. I can leave. I don't want you to feel like you have to be with me just because we're both here and-"

"Kurt." Blaine looked at him with his jaw dropped. "What are you talking about? There's no where else I'd rather be than here with you.." He walked closer to Kurt, who collapsed into his arms, tears running down his face now.

"You're s-sure I'm wh-wh-at you want?" Kurt stuttered into his chest. He felt Blaine deflate underneath him. He knew he'd done it this time, he'd brought it up again. He promised Blaine it was in the past, they could forget about it. And now he'd said it again. He awaited what Blaine would have to say next.

Just give me a reason

Just a little bit's enough

Just a second we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

It's in the stars

It's been written in the scars on our hearts

Without saying anything Blaine pulled a small box out of his pocket and handed it over to Kurt. He opened the box to see the ring that he'd recieved his senior year from Blaine. It looked more run down than before, but it still appeared the way it had almost two years earlier.

"I went over to Rachel and Santana's and got it out of the things of your's that were still there." Blaine's voice was choked. "I promise to always love you. And everything I promised before." They both smiled a through tears. "But now I promise that you'll always be everything i'll ever need. And I promise that I'll never ever hurt you again. And last but not least, I promise that i'll do whatever you need me to do, to help you trust me completely and fully again."

Kurt stood wordlessly infront of Blaine. He wiped a few tears from his cheeks. He leaned in and met Blaine's lips with his own. They stood in the doorway of their tiny apartment, the TV playing some re-run of friends in the background, the sun setting through the windows, lips touching, eyes closed. Tears running down both of their cheeks still.

They pulled apart and Kurt leaned forward to wipe a tear off of Blaine's face. Blaine chuckled, his voice thick, and pulled out the gum-wrapper ring, placing it on Kurt's ring finger.

"I love you so much."

That we're not broken just bent

And we can learn to love again

End Notes: AN: I was kind of inspired to write this at about 4 AM while I was in bed. I heard this song on my radio and I fell inlove. And when I was actually awake and coherent I bought the track on itunes. I listened to the lyrics and completely fell head over heels for it. It's a BEAUTIFUL song. And the more I listened to it the more I felt it fit the story line so well. So I wrote this while listening to it on replay. PS. We did it kids. We got come what may. Yesterday was a great day for me and i'm sure Klainers everywhere. It was and still is amazing. <3

I'm listening to this song right now. I love it and this story. It made me cry.

That. Was. So. Amazing. Iloveyou

This was really good. The song really does fit their situation and I was so happy to see that they were happy at the end of this story. I absolutely fell in love with "Come What May" when I heard it and I can't wait to see the performance on Thursday. I just want the boys to be happy together again soon.
