“Blaine, could you stir the dough for me please?” Kurt asked tiredly, wiping his hands on his apron. Six batches of cookies were needed for the McKinley High bake sale the next evening, and Kurt was almost done with the fourth batch.

Blaine had been swooping in randomly, stealing pieces of cookie dough and giving Kurt his signature puppy dog eyes whenever Kurt would scold him for it. Despite his proclamation of ‘baking Kurt cookies at least twice a year’, Blaine was pretty much useless in the kitchen.

“Sure thing!” Blaine replied cheerfully, taking the wooden spoon and mixing the dough like he had been watching Kurt do. “This kind of hurts my arm. Women must have a lot of arm strength. Not that women belong in the kitchen or anything, I’m just saying that those who do bake could be superheroes. Superbakers!”

Kurt tuned his boyfriend out, instead imagining that he was in bed, sleep overtaking him..

That is until a glob of something fell into his hair.

Kurt let out a -very manly- shriek, feeling around his hair for spiders or worms or.. cookie dough?

“Blaine Everett Anderson, did you just throw cookie dough in my hair?” Kurt asked quietly. Blaine nodded nervously. “Why?”

“You were falling asleep.. And I was talking about this awesome theory that involves hair gel and burning people… and tyranny, Kurt.. Oh god, you look mad.”

Kurt walked towards Blaine with calculated steps, not breaking eye contact the whole way. Blaine gulped loudly, backing up slightly. “Sweetie? I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for it to get in your hair.”

“Blaine?”

“Yeah?”

Kurt put his hand in the bowl of dough and threw a handful at Blaine’s face. It hit his nose and then fell to the floor. “It’s on.”

Blaine grinned. “Let the Hunger Games begin.”
