Kurt was definitely sure that Blaine was the one for him. THat thought should scare him, but it doesn't. drabble - post-First Time
Kurt never thought that he would be in love in high school. The talk he had with his dad the year previous really stuck with him, and he was sure that he was never going to find someone in small minded Lima, Ohio. He never thought that someone would be as open with themselves as the fashion-forward, perfectly coiffed haired, Kurt Elizabeth Hummel.
He met Blaine and thought it was too good to be true. Here was this gorgeous boy who was interested in what he had to say, had the most incredible voice and, get this, is gay. He’ll admit that he had a crush on Blaine, everyone who met Blaine had a crush on Blaine regardless of their gender, but he had just started to get over that. He had come to terms with the fact that he would never get to date Blaine Anderson. He told himself that they would never be together, stop fantasizing about it.
The day that he kissed him, passed in a blur. Kurt had been running on pure happiness all day. Kissing him had been everything that he could have dreamed of. It couldn’t have been a more perfect first real kiss. It was passionate and hot and just...... perfect. There wasn’t any other word for it.
When Blaine transferred to McKinley, Kurt knew that he was floating on air. Facing the ignorant jocks seemed to be easy with the love of his life by his side. Though they wouldn’t hold hands or show any sign of public affection in the hallways, the longing looks they threw each other were enough. They both knew what was between them, they didn’t need to show the people around them. They didn’t need to tell the whole world, even if it was obvious to the naked eye.
As Kurt gazed into Blaine’s eyes, he knew that this was the boy for him. He knew that he would be with him for the rest of his life. He knew that that thought should scare him, but it didn’t. He knew that they were only in high school, but he knew that Blaine was for him.
They laid tangled together under the sheets, just marveling in the love they felt for each other. Blaine’s eyes crinkled in the corners, his smile stretching a little farther across his face. His nose wrinkled, and he leaned in, pressing his lips to the tip of Kurt’s nose. Kurt closed his eyes in content. Yes, he was sure that Blaine was for him.
He was sure that they would go to New York, and conquer Broadway together. He was sure that they would raise their children in a flat on the Upper East Side. He was sure that they would spend Christmases in Lima, and prepare Thanksgiving in their two bedroom. Oh yes. He knew that this was the only the beginning of him and Blaine. He was sure.
