I love you more than I could ever promise.
A Klaine fanfic with a large amount of fluff. When I was reading for the billionth time the script of the box scene this story popped up in my mind.

It was a lazy evening; it was hot outside, there was a house, there was a couch and Kurt and Blaine snuggled up on it. Blaine was doing some circles on Kurt’s arm while the head of his boyfriend was on his chest. Kurt was a little sleepy, having Blaine near him like that made him feel safe and relaxed. They’d been together for 7 years now and there were so much love between them, it grew bigger and bigger. They grew up together, they found out what being a man was about and they found out together. Everything was quiet, even the city out there, everything but Blaine’s head and heart. His heart was beating fast and he couldn’t stop overthinking. He was feeling everything. About all the years that he and Kurt lived and the ones they were going to live. He was right there with the love of his life, he was sure of it. He was lying on the couch silently with Kurt. It could have seemed nothing to the others, but he was living his dream. Actually, Kurt and their relationship were even better than dreams because they were real.
Blaine sighed, closed his eyes and then spoke.
“Kurt, baby.. – touching the hair at the tip of Kurt’s forehead – do you remember what I promised you a long time ago?”
Kurt opened his eyes, he snuggled up even closer in Blaine’s lap and then mumbled “Uhm, that you wouldn’t use hair gel again when we were all alone at home?”
Blaine laughed. “Nope, I mean when we were in high school and I gave you that ring made by me. It was Christmas and we were in the hallway and I actually thought I was about to die because of the excitement. I was freaking out, to be honest. Well, do you remember it? Do you remember what I …promised you?”
Kurt literally stopped breathing for a while, maybe for seconds, maybe for a lifetime. He obviously remembered that. He remembered how he jumped when he saw the ring, he remembered how he felt in that moment. He remembered the feeling of the tears of joy in his eyes. He remembered every single word that Blaine said. “You promised me to love me …and to bake me cookies.”
They laughed together. There was a little bit of tension in that room because Blaine was afraid of the response of his next question and Kurt was tense because he didn’t have any idea of what was going through Blaine’s mind.
And then it happened.
“Kurt – caressing Kurt’s arm, with trembling fingers – I want you to be in my life as long as it’s possible, I could sound cheesy but I really want you in my life forever. We’ve grown up together, we’ve known each other in every possible way and we keep doing that and I’ll never get tired of you. I always want you more and more and more – he took a deep breath – . I want to get old right next to you, I want you by my side, but mostly I want to be by yours. I want to have children, I want to watch them growing up with you, I want to see you freaking out over them. And I want to share tears of joy with you. I want to spoil our grandchildren. And, Kurt Hummel, you’re the love and the man of my life. You’re the rock upon which I stand and I hope I am yours too. You know, you are my missing puzzle piece and now, I’d really like to have you as my husband too – he said that breathlessly and now he was looking straight in Kurt’s eyes, he was serious now maybe he had never been more serious in his entire life – Kurt Hummel, will you marry me? I know there’s no engagement ring and I’m aware I could never surpass that speech but I want to marry you. I really do. Will you?” He was feeling right in the chest a mixed of pain and fear and excitement. He really didn’t know what to expect now; A punch or tears of joy and multiple kisses?
And then Kurt smiled with his best smile and Blaine smiled too, because his boyfriend’s smile was always contagious; Always. No matter what. “Blaine, I said ‘’yes’’ 6 years ago and I say “yes” now too. Yes, I will marry you. Yes, I will be your husband. You will be mine. And I want children too; I want them to have your curly hair. And I will be your desperate housewife, your brilliant half and your sexy man. And, besides the jokes, I want to make you proud of me; I want to love you even from my grave. I want to make you feel loved. And I promise you, I will bake cookies for both of us, because you, Blaine Anderson, are the love of my life, even though you’re such a bad cook.” They both laughed out loud with broken voices and tears in their eyes.
Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson are finally getting married.
