Author's Notes: The title is from the song "Breathe" by Taylor SwiftAnd we know it's never simple, never easy,Prefer a clean break knowin' it'll save meYou're the only thing I know like the back of my handYeah so the lyrics don't really go with the mood of the story, but it's pretty right?

Blaine twiddled his thumbs, awaiting the thumbs up from the cameraman to signal they were rolling. When it came, he took a deep breath and smiled as the interviewer said, “And now we’re back, with artist Blaine Hummel, fresh off his performance at Madison Square Garden just last night, tell us Blaine, how’re you feeling? Ready to go home yet?” Blaine chuckled, “I’m doing great.” The interviewer smiled, “So can you maybe give us a little background on the Blaine Hummel?” Blaine grinned, “Well what do you want to know, Ashley?” Ashley’s bright smile became overwhelming, someone should tell her not to try so hard, “Well, where’re you from?” Blaine ran a hand through his curls, “I’m originally from Ohio, but I’ve been living here in the city since I was in college.” Ashley nodded, “Have you always wanted to be a singer?” Blaine shrugged, “Pretty much, at first singing and acting and performing were just things I enjoyed doing, I always knew my father would try to get me to do something ‘sensible’ with my life, and it took meeting some very special people to get me to recognize, and chase, my own dreams.” Ashley nodded, “Speaking of, special people, have any lovely ladies snagged your heart on this road to fame?”

Blaine laughed and rubbed his neck, “Ladies? No, but me and my high school sweetheart tied the knot a couple of years back, actually this,” Blaine pulled something out from under his sweater, “Is my wedding ring.” Ashley cooed, “It’s so pretty, how come it’s not on your finger?” Blaine grinned, “Tell me Ashley, you seem a fashionable young lady, what do you know about the label KAH?” Ashley looked confused, “KAH? What’s that got to do with anything?” Blaine just shook his head, “My husband is Kurt Anderson-Hummel, Hummel is actually my married name if you were wondering. Legally mine is Anderson-Hummel as well, but I prefer Blaine Hummel.” Ashley’s eyes bugged in understanding, “You’re married to the Kurt Anderson-Hummel?” Blaine chuckled, “Yes, although I just call him Kurt. Among other things that he would skin me alive for sharing with all of America, isn’t that right sweetie,” Blaine shot a cheeky grin at the camera. “But anyway, Kurt is the reason I wear the ring on this chain, he says it clashes with my concert outfits.” Ashley giggled, “Is that so?” Blaine shrugged, “Apparently, but really I just think it’s so he doesn’t have to publicly acknowledge that we’re married.” Ashley guffawed, “I doubt that’s the case, but anyways, we’re all out of time today folks, but you heard it here first, Blaine Hummel is off the market ladies and gents, and to Kurt Anderson-Hummel, hats off, baby, hats off, you did well!” With that the cameraman called “Cut” and Blaine stood up, shaking hands with Ashley.

“Please don’t take this the wrong way,” she said shyly, “But I’m kind of jealous of you right now.” Blaine beamed, “Oh really, how so?” Ashley chuckled, “I’d kill to call Kurt my husband.” Blaine laughed, “Trust me, I would too. And if you count the pigeon my cab hit on the way to our venue, I technically did.” Ashley grinned, “Well, my belated congratulations. You said he was your high school sweetheart?” Blaine nodded, “Yeah, we got together my sophomore year, been that way ever since,” Blaine’s phone began to buzz, “Actually, if you’ll excuse me, this is him now.” Blaine turned away, bringing the phone to his ear, “Hey baby.” “Hey, guess what,” Kurt sounded...happy, bubbly. “What,” Blaine grinned, eleven years together and Kurt’s voice still gave him chills. “Well first I should inform you that Carrie from PR, is pissed she didn’t get advance notice...
