"Blaine, wait!" Kurt quickly takes the seam ripper out of Blaine's hands, almost as if he were taking a small toy away from a child who was about to put it in his mouth. Blaine looks up at him with just the same lost look that the child might have, as well.

"What?  Was I not doing it right?" he asks.  Blaine sounds actually worried that he might have ruined Kurt's work.  Kurt cannot help but beam down at Blaine for it.

"No.  Well, yes.  But it's okay.  I stopped you before you could do any damage," Kurt takes the kilt out of Blaine's hands and inspects the work he had just started.  He clicks his tongue against his teeth and hands it back to Blaine.  "Your mother hems all your pants, doesn't she?"  Kurt says it as if it weren't a question.

"Um.  Yes?  Why does that matter?"  The second question sounds more like ‘How do you know that?' than anything else.

"You've clearly never done this before," Kurt just smiles at Blaine, though, and motions for Blaine to scoot over on the bed.  "Okay, look here," Kurt moves the piece of fabric between them so Blaine can have a better view at what Kurt is indicating. "See this hem here?  Take this, and carefully pull the threads out."  Kurt does a few at first, then hands the tool back to Blaine so he can follow suit.

Blaine carefully plucks at a few threads before looking up at Kurt for reassurance. "Like this?"

Kurt can't help but lean in and kiss Blaine fondly on the cheek, "Yeah, just like that."

Kurt goes back to his sewing machine and for a few minutes, it's just the sound of the motor breaking the silence between them.  Then behind him, he can hear Blaine chuckle to himself.

"What's so funny?" Kurt asks as he inspects the seam he just sewed.

"I don't know how you do this.  I don't have nearly the attention span or patience for this but look at you.  Just a few days and you create something magnificent." Kurt can hear Blaine shift and looks up just in time to see Blaine standing next to him, kilt in hand and a smile on his face.

"And then you manage to wear them and make them look even better," Blaine leans down suddenly and kisses Kurt firmly on the lips, parting Kurt's lips with his tongue just for a moment.  "You're going to look fantastic in this," he says low, lips still brushing Kurt's own.  He straightens up and sets the kilt on Kurt's desk, "I finished, by the way.  Anything else I can do?"

"You can come back down here and kiss me again," Kurt offers.

"Well, see, that I know how to do," Blaine answers playfully before moving in once more.
