“So what are we doing here, exactly?” asked Kurt. The rest of New Directions had drifted out of the room after Glee practice, leaving him and Blaine alone.

Blaine walked over to the piano, lifting the lid and sitting down. He pressed middle C a few times. “I’ve been thinking,” said Blaine.

“Oh dear,” laughed Kurt and Blaine gave him an amused look.

“I was thinking,” continued Blaine pointedly. “New Directions is rather obsessed with writing original songs, and since I’m part of it now…” Blaine’s hands hovered over the piano keys.

“Oh my gosh. You wrote a song?” asked Kurt, slightly amused.

“Well,” said Blaine, dragging the syllable out. “I sat down and tried…it turns out I’m not really a song writer.”

“Neither is Rachel,” said Kurt dryly.

“But I really wanted to write something for you,” continued Blaine, giving Kurt a longing smile. “But I can’t get my feelings out on paper, exactly, and I can’t structure music to save my life. So instead I took a song I already knew how to play and…changed around a few words.”

Kurt’s eyebrows raised and Blaine grew nervous. “I hope it’s not cheesy.”

“No it’s….sweet.” Kurt bit his lip. “Do you want to…”

Blaine nodded and set his hands down on the piano, playing a familiar tune. Kurt couldn’t keep himself from smile. It was Teenage Dream.

But the words were different, just slightly. Instead it was “I think you’re pretty” and “I think you’re funny”. Blaine smiled up at Kurt, who leaned against the piano, a look that Kurt was still growing used to in his eyes. Love.

"Let's just talk all through the night
There's no need to rush
We can dance until we die
You and I, we'll be young forever

I'm a get your heart racing if that's what you need
In this teenage dream tonight
Let you rest your head on me if that's what you need
In this teenage dream tonight
Tonight, tonight, tonight"

The last notes faded and Blaine’s hands rose from the piano. He looked flustered and a little embarrassed. Kurt just walked around the piano and sat next to him on the bench. He reached over, cupping Blaine’s cheek, and kissed his lips soundly.

“That was beautiful,” Kurt whispered a few moments later, his lips ghosting against Blaine’s.

“I love you,” was all Blaine said in reply.

“I love you.” Kurt leaned in, kissing Blaine once more.
