Sometimes it’s the little things about Kurt that Blaine knows he’ll miss. The way his eyes crinkle up when he laughs, the way he runs his fingers through his hair when he’s frustrated, the way he’s all too willing to cuddle after sex.

But it’s moments like this that he knows he’ll miss the most. Just lying together, Kurt’s head resting on Blaine’s bare chest, arms wrapped tightly around each other, neither of them needing words to express their thoughts.

They both know Kurt has to leave. But that doesn’t mean Blaine was ready to let him go just yet.
He ran his hand through Kurt's hair, the impeccably styled locks falling out of place to curl around his fingers. Kurt opened his eyes and glanced up at him for a moment, eyes soft and content, before they fell softly shut again, resting his head on Blaine’s chest once more.

Blaine let his own eyes drift shut, fingers continuing to stroke Kurt’s hair of their own accord. He tried not to think about the months to come, the months of lonely days, of buying only one cup of coffee in the mornings and of lonely nights, no one to hold tight at night, the other side of the bed staying cold and empty.

Realising Blaine was crying, Kurt immediately began to sit up, but Blaine held him down, shaking his head, arms tightening around the other boy’s waist. “I’m okay,” he murmured, and yet the tears continued to fall. Kurt nodded, understanding. He wasn’t ready to go either.
