"We are soulmates, destined to be together in every life that is granted to us. Our love transcends all of time and space. You are now and will always be my tethered half." Blaine was sure that is how he wanted to start his proposal. He stood in front of his mirror practicing those words over and over again.
Taking the ring from his dresser drawer, he sticks it into his jacket pocket. He was on his way to meet Kurt, and with the help of the friends he still had at Dalton, hoped his surprise would be enough, to prove to Kurt, that he was not giving up.
Kurt was surprised when it was Trent, Nick, and Jeff who were picking him up.
"Let's go Kurt, strict time schedule." Nick looked at his watch and frowned.
"But first we have to do this." Jeff said, as Trent placed a blindfold over Kurt's eyes, fastening it securely in place.
"Guys, what? Where is Blaine?" Kurt asked confused and nervous.
"All in good time." Jeff was the one to answer him.
They escorted him to the car. He was flanked on each side by two of the guys and one was following behind, a hand in the middle of Kurt's back.
"Now duck your head, and slide over." Trent said.
Kurt did as he was instructed. The ride was a bit long, but Kurt remained confused about everything. After what seemed like forever the car stopped and Kurt was being guided from the car. "Careful, and just let us lead you." Nick told him as they began walking. Up a flight of stairs, and through some doors. Then a walk down a straight stretch, before walking up a few steps and being turned around.
"I am taking you blindfold off. You are standing on stairs, so don't make any sudden moves." Jeff said as the blindfold was removed.
Kurt looked around, he was at dalton, and not only Dalton but that same staircase. His gaze wandered downward, his breath suddenly not adequate enough. There was Blaine, kneeling in the bottom stair, looking up at Kurt.
"We are soulmates, destined to be together in every life that is granted to us. Our love transcends all of time and space. You are now and will always be my tethered half." Blaine started, as the Warblers filed around them, humming a random harmony. "Kurt Elizabeth Hummel, Will you Marry Me?"
