"Would you girls like some s'mores?" Blaine called up to his ten-year-old daughter, Adela, and best friend, Mallory.

"Yes please!" They shouted back in unison, looking at each other after hearing the other speak and giggling to themselves. Blaine smiled and poked his head into the kitchen.

"I don't know if you heard that loud answer, but they'd like some s'mores." Blaine joked, waltzing over to his husband and wrapping his arms around his waist from behind. Kurt grinned and rested his head against Blaine's, humming in response.

"I heard." He placed a soft kiss to Blaine's temple before getting out the supplies for making s'mores. Graham crackers, Hershey's chocolate bars, and giant marshmallows. He was just about to cut open the bag of marshmallows when the lights flickered, and then turned off all at once. Blaine released his grip on Kurt and called up to the girls.

"Girls? Don't move, I don't want you tripping down the stairs or anything, I'll be up in a second!"

"Mmmkay!" He rummaged through a few drawers before finding the large flashlight he was looking for. He kissed Kurt's cheek before heading upstairs to find Adela and Mallory. He took each of their hands, holding the flashlight in his mouth as he lead the two downstairs. As it was already night, the house was pitch black. Kurt was standing at the back door, holding it open for them. Blaine led the two of them outside and by the grill.

"How would you two like to make s'mores the real, old-fashioned way?" Kurt asked with a grin, placing the materials down on a bench. The girls both nodded their heads, smiling and sitting down on the back patio. Blaine sat down with them and handed Mallory the flashlight.

"While we're at it, why don't we tell *scaaarry* stories?" Blaine asked, using a fake ghost voice at the word 'scary'. Adela squealed and shook her head.

"No way, I hate scary stories!"

"Oh, come on. It'll be fun!" Mallory said, holding the flashlight under her chin and grinning childishly. Adela sighed and crossed her arms.

"Fine." She rolled her eyes, but smiled despite herself. Kurt fired up the grill and opened the bag of marshmallows, while Mallory started off the scary stories.

"It was a dark and stormy night!" She began. Blaine smiled, opening the bag of chocolate bars and box of graham crackers for them to be ready once Kurt was done roasting the marshmallows. Kurt stuck a few marshmallows on the end of a metal rod before holding them over the grill to roast. Adela and Blaine continued to react to the story Mallory told, laughing or screaming, (in Blaine's case, feigning fear). When the marshmallows were all finished roasting, Kurt made four s'mores, one for each of them, placing them on paper plates and handing them each one. He sat down next to Blaine, leaning against him. "... And that's why you don't go into the woods at night, alone!"

The next hour was spent playing games in the backyard, devouring s'mores, telling jokes, and having fun until the power finally turned back on. Once they were all comfy back inside, it took all of ten minutes for the lot of them to fall asleep, all cuddling in the living room under a bundle of blankets and tower of pillows.
