Blaine woke up slowly and naturally, something he wasn’t used to. Normally he had an alarm, a friend shaking him awake, or his brother or parents being overly obnoxious in the early morning. As he pondered the situation his surroundings started to set in. Of course his alarm didn’t wake him, he wasn’t home, which also crossed out the possibility of Coop or his parents waking him. And the obvious reason he wasn’t being woken by one of his friends was well, they were thousands of miles away. Blaine sat up and rubbed his eyes. He took a deep breath that always signaled his readiness to wake up fully and face the day. Everything smelled like Kurt. A sleepy smile spread over his face and he threw the blankets off of himself.
Now, Blaine thought while making his way to the door into the hallway, I just have to find Kurt. The search didn’t take very long. In fact once Blaine opened the door and walked down the short hall into the living room he saw Kurt. His eyes widened immediately.
Kurt had spent a year in New York without Blaine and without someone to spend all of his time with, Kurt needed to find a hobby. Something productive, although most everything was productive compared to his usual night of homework and Friends reruns. He found the city enthralling of course, but he couldn’t find anything to do that was really any fun unless two people were involved. So one morning out of impulse –and Rachel’s heavy persuasion- he signed up for a yoga class.
After a few months Rachel’s appearances at the yoga class became more and more scarce until finally she stopped going all together. With school and boyfriends and auditions and part time jobs she didn’t have much time for it. But Kurt found the time because, surprisingly, he actually enjoyed it. He went once a week until he began really getting the hang of it. Then he went twice a week for two beginner’s classes. Eventually he started working his way up to an expert level class and he dedicated a lot of time to just relaxing with yoga. It was more beneficial than he had originally thought though. When the school load began getting heavier and heavier around exams week his professors and classmates praised his ability to stay calm and focused. Kurt got very used to doing yoga every morning when he woke up just to start his day off with a calm energy.
It was something he had failed to mention to Blaine.
Kurt was moving from a supported shoulder stand into plow pose when Blaine walked in. He could practically hear Blaine’s jaw drop.
“Uh. . . Kurt?” Blaine’s voice cracked slightly when he spoke. His heart beat overtime in his chest and he blushed brightly.
“Shhhhhh,” Kurt purred “Morning yoga. Join me?”
“N-no. That’s okay.” Blaine said, his eyes glued on Kurt’s ass. “I” Blaine had to stop to clear his throat “I’ll just watch.”
“Mmmhmmm.” Kurt slowly let the sound out, still smirking.
When Kurt was done with his routine –one that he picked out specifically because he knew Blaine would be watching- he sat cross legged on the floor, looking up at Blaine who had taken residence on a kitchen stool only a few feet away.
“So,” Blaine said, his voice a little strained. “I don’t mean to sound too forward but,” Blaine’s voice died off when Kurt knelt between his knees. Kurt’s hands found their way comfortably to Blaine’s thighs and the touch seemed to bring Blaine back to his previous train of thought, “Bedroom?” Blaine asked almost urgently through his cracked voice.
Kurt’s grin told Blaine that it wasn’t too forward at all and they both stumbled their way back to bed.
