Kurt is not really a fan of the candy or the havoc present around the neighborhood during Halloween. But Blaine can be so persuasive when he wants to. Plus, he has the puppy dog eyes in his arsenal, Kurt didn’t stand a chance. He was a sucker for costumes though. So it wasn’t that difficult for Blaine to make him say yes. Agreeing on a matching costume theme was another story.
“How about I go as Shrek and you as Fiona?” Blaine said in excitement. “It’s perfect!”
“Is this your way of calling me fat?” Kurt raised his eyebrow. “As much as I love Fiona’s tiara, I do not approve of the green skin tone. The only time I would agree on getting my skin stained is when I’m going as Elphaba.”
Kurt paused, as if he just had an epiphany. He grabbed one of the many wigs from his costume trunk and produced a blonde wig.
“You would be perfect as a blonde.” Kurt said holding the wig up to Blaine’s head.
“No.” Blaine said. He realized where Kurt was driving at. “I will not go as Glinda; at least not in public.”
The couple continued on arguing about it until Blaine accidentally sat on the remote, turning up the volume from the television. It caught both of their attention and they just found themselves watching MTV. Beavis and Butthead was on. It’s the segment where they make fun of scenes from music videos or shows. This time, Jersey Shore was up for the commentary.
“That’s it!” Kurt said. “I think I know what our costumes will be for tomorrow night.”
“I think I like it.” Blaine nodded. “Beavis and Butthead it is! I call dibs on Butthead!”
Blaine’s enthusiasm was ended by a pillow hitting his face. “No, you butthead. I’m talking about Jersey Shore!” Kurt said rolling his eyes at his oblivious boyfriend. “I’ll go as Snooki and you’ll be Pauly D or the Situation.”
“The situation. I like Pauly’s hair though. I think I’ll do a mix of both. What do you think, Kurt?”
Blaine turned around and saw Kurt rummaging through his trunk. He probably didn’t listen to whatever Blaine said. He can already see the gears working on his boyfriend’s head. Whatever Kurt was planning in his head can only be great, Blaine thought.
-------
The two set out around the neighborhood trick or treating with kids who were probably half their age. Kurt, in particular, was not a fan of the candy and the cavity that it entails. Blaine on the other hand was crazy about it. He would start eating half of the candy from the previous house before arriving to the next. This is one of the reasons why Kurt had the grounds to believe that he was a dating a 5-year old. They had fun walking from house to house. Kurt even received a few wolf-whistles while wearing his outfit. Blaine did not approve and just occupied himself with his candy. One guy even slipped a paper with his number on it along with the candy to Kurt’s trick or treat bag. Blaine did not miss the move.
“Are you flirting with my man?” Blaine asked as he took of his shades.
“Your man?!” The guy asked as he turned to Kurt. “You’re a dude?”
“Guilty as charged.” Kurt said in his Jersey accent, staying true to the bit.
“He’s my dude so back off!” Blaine threw candy at the guy, grabbed Kurt and ran. Blaine was definitely too deep in his sugar high.
“Honey, I think you need to take it easy on the sweets now.” Kurt said pausing in front of Blaine to stop him from running again. He tried to reach for his pumpkin basket but Blaine hugged it right away.
“NO!” Blaine said.
“Really, Blaine? You’re going to act like a child?”
“Maybe.” Blaine replied.
They continued on exhausting the candy supply of the whole neighborhood until it was time to go to Brittany’s Halloween Party. It was mostly kids from McKinley.
It wasn’t long ‘til Blaine had too much to drink. He always does this in parties. It was up to Kurt to keep him in line. Though he must admit, his boyfriend is adorable when he gets drunk. He was always so needy and touchy it was almost endearing. What Kurt didn’t like was the fact that Blaine tends to bend over to the bisexual border when he’s intoxicated. He gives out flirty comments to everyone; even to Mr. Tubbington.
Kurt decided to leave Blaine for a while with the boys, asking Finn to keep a close eye on him while he gossip with the girls near the bar. A few minutes later, the stool next to him was occupied by a guy with a Jersey accent.
“Heeeey! What’s a guy gotta do to get some Tequila situation up in here, huh?” Blaine shouted. Kurt turned around and stole the shot glass from him. “No, Blaine. You’ve had enough.”
“Hey, sexy seniorita. How do you know my name?” Blaine asked, moving his stool closer to Kurt’s. “Can I know yours?”
Apparently drunk Blaine thinks Kurt is a girl. “You remind me of someone I know. Someone who makes my heart beat like crazy.” Blaine patted somewhere near his heart.
“Really now?” Kurt decided to play along with it, knowing that Blaine was probably talking about him.
Blaine practically flirted his way to making Kurt dance with him. Next thing he knew, they were in his car.
“I am going to make out with you now. Because you are so pretty and I just want to know how it feels like to be with a pretty laaaady.” Blaine slurred while making hand gestures that depict a body of a curvaceous woman.
“Okay.” Kurt giggled. He was probably half drunk at this point.
Blaine leaned in getting closer and closer. His lips were about an inch away from Kurt’s when he pulled back. “I can’t.”
“Why, baby?” Kurt pouted. “What’s wrong?”
“I have a confession to make. I have a boyfriend. He’s so awesome and so wonderful and I don’t want to cheat on him.” Blaine explained. “No offense, lady. You’re pretty and all but you’re no Kurt.”
“He must be an amazing guy then.” Kurt smirked. He loved how Blaine still praises him even without thinking about it.
“Yes. Yes he is. I like the color of his eyes . . . the way he laughs . . “ Blaine went on and on about how amazing Kurt was, not knowing that the “girl” was Kurt.
“Hey, lady” Blaine said. “I’m going to introduce you to Kurt. Seriously, you two look like twins or something.”
“That sounds like a great idea.”
“But can I do it, tomorrow? Or some other time? I’m really sleepy now. I want to sleep already.” Blaine’s eyelids were already betraying him, getting heavier as each second passes by.
“Sure.” Kurt answered. Before Kurt could get out of the car, Blaine cuddled into him and had soon started snoring. His boyfriend was so adorable when he gets like this. He decided to let Blaine sleep in his arms for a few more minutes before getting Finn to drive them home. This was one Halloween that Kurt would not forget.
