Kurt’s eyelids closed at the same time as Karofsky, voicing his thoughts to get him to imagine what life could be like in the future.

Whatever Dave imagined was important, but the important thing for Kurt was all he could see wasBlaine.

Walking down the streets of New York, clutching a coffee like his life depended on it. Continuously scrawling down lyrics or musical notes for his new song.

The first time they got to make love in their apartment. Their home. Settling into the life of adulthood and being ready to go as far into their relationship as they could.

Their engagement. Just simple. Not cliché, but just simply beautifully. Of course it’s Blaine who proposes. He can’t contain it any more, he just blurts it out one day in their kitchen. He shows Kurt the ring, gives him it and once again they make love.

Their wedding. Kurt makes their wedding beautiful. They both cry of course, they both say their vows and pour their heart into it. They both look completely happy. Rid of anything bad in the world, or the hate they’ve received. It’s just them against the world.

Tears of joy as they find out they can adopt their first child, Blaine always wanting a girl. He wants to be able to plait or curl or straighten her hair when she’s darting off to be a princess at prom. The heartbreak when she screams ‘I hate you’ and when she apologizes she says ‘I love you daddies’ then the curl up on the couch  eating ice cream and laughing together.

But when he opens his eyes, he’s excited too excited for this to happen.

It does.

And not once does the spark fail. The spark is their throughout. Sure they fight, but not once do they split.
