Kurt felt sick and slightly dizzy. He has never felt so stupid. Kurt was just about to walk out, but then he heard Blaine call his name.
"Hey! Whoa, Kurt? Is that you?" Blaine said as he walked towards Kurt.
Kurt didn't want to talk to Blaine, he was too hurt.
Kurt hesitated. "Y-Yeah, I came to watch you play." Kurt said trying to hide the heartbreak in his voice.
Blaine hugged Kurt. "Wow, Kurt. You're a great friend!" Blaine said as he let go of Kurt.
"There's the word I was afraid of." Kurt thought to himself.
"Yeah... Friend." Kurt said with a sigh.
Kurt couldn't help but stare at Jeremiah. Kurt now hated Jeremiah even though he didn't know him. He had something Kurt has been wanting for the longest time, and that was Blaine.
Blaine looked at Kurt, he could feel that something was wrong.
"Oh, how rude of me. This is Jeremiah, the guy I told you about." Blaine said as he smiled.
Kurt's heart stopped. That smile killed him and stabbed him in the chest more than once.
"Yeah, I... I remember." Kurt said.
Jeremiah smiled and looked at Blaine.
"You talk about me?" Jeremiah said pleased.
Blaine blushed. "It was just one time." Blaine said in a flirty tone.
Kurt couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't bare with this pain he was feeling watching Blaine falling for someone who wasn't him.
"Im gonna head out. I promised my Dad I wouldn't be going home too late." Kurt said as he headed for the door.
Blaine frowned. "Oh. I understand. Thanks for coming, Kurt!" Blaine said as he waved goodbye to Kurt.
Kurt stopped and turned around to look at Blaine one last time before he left.
"Don't mention it, Blaine." Kurt said.
Kurt turned back around and headed out the door. Once he got in his car, he felt devastated and embarrassed. Kurt dropped his head on the wheel and accidentally honked his horn. Kurt picked up his head in shock. "Good one, Kurt. You're such a idiot." He said to himself as he put the keys in the ignition.
Kurt drove off and just began to think. He felt so stupid falling for Blaine. He actually thought there could be a chance for them.
Kurt turned up the radio to find that Teenage Dream was playing. He aggressively hit the power off button and looked straight back at the road trying to hold back the tears.
"Don't cry, Kurt. You're better than this." He said to himself as he took a turn to the next road.
But he couldn't hold them in, they came out like a leak. He pulled over to a 7-11 and parked in the parking lot. He sat in his car and cried for a while. Kurt has never been so hurt. He never meant to fall for Blaine, he just thought they would always be great friends. Kurt never expected that he would fall in love with Blaine Anderson.
Kurt wiped the tears of of his face and rubbed his nose. He inhaled and held it for a while so he could stop crying. Then, he exhaled and rubbed his hand through his hair trying to calm himself down.
Kurt then drove off back on to the road. Once he got home, he went straight inside hoping his dad wouldn't be on the couch ready to ask Kurt questions about tongiht. Kurt had nothing good to say, so he didn't want to say anything at all.
Kurt walked in and saw his Dad waiting on the couch for him. Kurt tried to rush up the stairs but before he could, Burt called his name.
"Kurt! Why are you in such a rush to go to your room?" Burt said as he got up from the couch.
Kurt rolled his eyes. "Crap." Kurt said under his breath.
Burt walked towards Kurt, and stood in front of him.
"No reason, Im just... tired." Kurt said with a fake yawn.
Burt squinted. He knew something was wrong. "What did that Anderson kid do? Do I need to talk to him?" Burt said sternly.
Kurt laughed, "No, im fine, He didn't do anything. Im just tired, Dad." Kurt said hoping that his dad couldn't tell that he was lying.
Burt shook his head and looked at the ground.
"Hm. Okay, Kurt. Get some rest." Burt said patting Kurt on the shoulder.
"Alright, Dad." Kurt walked up the stairs.
As soon as Kurt got in his room, he lied on his bed and stared at the ceiling.
Kurt thought of Blaine's smile, and he broke down again.
