Hearing from Kurt at lunch put Blaine in a good mood, even though he was stuck at home with nothing to do. He had a while before Kurt would be able to call him again, so he decided to go to the basement where his dad had installed an in-home gym, it had been a while since he'd actually used it because he likes the equipment at the public gym better.

He had went through everything, the treadmill, stair climber, bicycle, hand weights, and even pull-up bar before settling in with the punching bag and boxing gloves. This was his favorite part, the boxing. He'd started boxing after getting bullied, and surprisingly found himself to be quite the boxer, so he talked his parents into getting a bag put in so he could use it whenever he needed. He mostly uses it now to take out his aggression, even though punching the bag isn't as satisfying as punching an actual person, it still got the job done.

He got so caught up in letting everything out, that he didn't notice Kurt hasn't called and it was well after Glee practice should have ended. That's what happens when he boxes, he lets everything go, doesn't think about anyone or anything, just his fists and the bag.

---------

By the time he stopped his abuse on the bag, it was well into the evening, and his first thought was he'd missed Kurt's calls.

He ran up the stairs, taking them two at a time to get to his phone, barely taking in that his parents weren't home yet.

Just as he reached his room, he heard his phone ringing with a ringtone that definitely wasn't Kurt's. Still, he hurriedly picked it up, not bothering to check and see who was calling. "Hello?"

"Where the hell have you been Anderson? I've been trying to get through to you for two hours!" It was that girl that Kurt always hung around, Mercedes, he was sure that was her name.

"Uh, I was working out, what's it to you?" Blaine had no idea why she was calling him, or even how she'd gotten his number, and that made him a little angry.

"To me, nothing. To Kurt, everything. Look, can you just come over to his house? I promise to explain everything once you get here, he just- can you be here?" Her tone softened, sounding almost sad.

"I uh- what- yes, I can, but what happened? Is Kurt- did someone-"

"Just, get over here, I said I'd explain everything once you got here."

"Fine. I'm on my way." Blaine hung up, grabbing his car keys and jacket before heading to his car and speeding down the road towards Kurt's house. The more the thought about it, the more worried he got. What if someone had hurt Kurt? What if- no, he couldn't think like that. He needed to get to Kurt's house and let Mercedes explain everything.

---------

He made it to Kurt's house in record time, he was actually surprised he hadn't been pulled over for speeding.

As he got out of the car, the first thing he noticed was Mercedes' car parked right behind an older looking pickup truck which Blaine was pretty sure belonged to Kurt's dad. The thought of Kurt's father being here made Blaine nervous, he wasn't ready to me Kurt's dad, they haven't been together that long, he couldn't do this.

"Hey, you must be Blaine, come in, Kurt and Mercedes are waiting for you upstairs." Blaine heard the voice from the front door, turning to see a burly man wearing a ball cap, jeans stained with oil and a flannel shirt. Kurt's dad.

"Uh, I-I- yeah, that's me. What-"

"I don't know kid, they won't tell me anything." Burt shrugged, taking Blaine in, he seemed to be an okay kid, maybe a little rough around the edges but isn't everyone? "Come inside, you're not going to find out what's going on just standing out there." He stood aside so Blaine could get in the door.

"Where-"

"First door on your left once you get up the stairs." Burt gave him a small smile. "Look kid, I've heard about you, from both Kurt and Finn and I don't know of you're dating my son or not, but he's been asking to see you, so you obviously are someone he trusts. What I'm trying to say here is, take care of him, he's a good kid and he deserves good people in his life."

"I-I will sir, I promise."

"Alright then, go on up, don't want to keep him waiting much longer."

"Thank you." Blaine smiled gratefully at Burt before heading up the stairs to Kurt's room, unsure of what he'd find when he got there.

"I called him, don't worry." Mercedes was trying to assure Kurt that Blaine would be there soon when she heard a knock on the door. "Come in!"

"Hey uh, you wanted to see me?" Blaine was standing awkwardly in the doorway, not knowing what to do.

"Blaine!" Kurt was on his feet and across the room in seconds, throwing himself into Blaine's arms and burying his face in Blaine's neck.

"Whoa there, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Blaine asked worriedly, hugging Kurt tightly, trying to soothe him.

"Now that you're here I'm fine." Kurt mumbled into his neck, he'd never been so happy to see Blaine.

"What happened?" Blaine looked to Mercedes.

"Kurt, do you want to tell him or do you want me to?"

"I-I can, but I'd like to be alone to do it." Kurt lifted his head up to look back at Mercedes.

"Alright, I'm going to head home now that Blaine's here. If you need me, just call and I'll be here."

"I will, thanks 'Cedes. For everything."

"You're welcome Kurt." Mercedes have his arm a squeeze before turning to Blaine. "You take care of him, okay?"

"Yes, of course."

"Good. I'll see you later Kurt. Bye Blaine."

Blaine waited a few minutes, content with just holding Kurt in his arms, before speaking. "What's going on Kurt?"

"Can we- can we sit?" Kurt looked nervous, something Blaine had never seen before, at least not like this.

"Sure, anything you want." Blaine led Kurt over to the bed and sat down, letting Kurt lean into him.

"Mercedes said you weren't by your phone when she called, is that true?"

"Yes, I was in the basement working out, I left my phone in my room. Kurt, what's going on?"

"I'm getting there, just let me talk, okay?"

"Okay, sorry, go on."

"How long were you away from your phone?"

"I went down there about an hour after you called at lunch, the time got away from me." Blaine didn't like where this conversation was heading.

"So you didn't notice that I missed calling you before and after Glee rehearsals?"

"No, I was- no I didn't." Blaine hung his head, how could he have not noticed it was getting late?

"Do you want to know why I didn't call?" Kurt asked, his voice sounding so small and scared that it made Blaine's heart hurt just hearing him.

"Do you want to tell me?"

"Yes... and no, but I need to tell you, so yes." Kurt sighed. He couldn't keep this from Blaine.

"Then I want you to tell me."

"Promise me you won't do anything stupid after I tell you, I don't- just promise."

"Kurt-"

"Please Blaine, I-I need to tell you, but-"

"I promise, just tell me." Blaine was officially scared. Whatever this was, it was big and important and it was scaring Kurt.

"After school, right before Glee practice, Karofsky pushed me into the lockers, I got angry and decided to confront him, so I followed him into the locker room and he kissed me."

"He- he- what?!" Blaine felt his blood go cold. He was sure he'd heard wrong.

"I said he kissed me, like on the mouth. He tried to do it twice but I pushed him away and he ran out of the locker room." Kurt felt disgusting, Karofsky had tainted him.

"Did you tell anyone? Other than Mercedes and me?" Blaine was trying to stay calm, for Kurt, but it was taking everything he had not to go hunt down Karofsky and beat him until he couldn't move.

"No, I was- I couldn't. The only reason I told Mercedes is because she was running late and saw him leave the locker room and got worried about why he'd left in such a hurry. She found me sitting on the floor crying and brought me home."

Blaine didn't say anything, he didn't know what to say. Karofsky had touched Kurt, had kissed Kurt, he was angry and didn't want to say the wrong thing.

"Blaine, are you okay? Say something, please." Kurt was scared Blaine would leave him after he found out. Scared that Blaine would no longer want him.

"I'm- what- Kurt, I'm so sorry I wasn't there to keep you safe. I should've been there."

"What? Blaine no, you can't blame yourself, it's not your fault. I shouldn't have followed him, I knew something bad was going to happen."

"It's not your fault either Kurt. He shouldn't have- you can't go back to that school, not if he's still there." Blaine couldn't bare the thought of Karofsky being anywhere near Kurt.

Kurt laughed, actually laughed. "Blaine, I can't just stop going to school. Besides, I don't think he'll try anything, he'll be too scared of me saying something or him getting caught."

"No. You can't be there with him, I won't- no." Blaine was getting angrier. Why didn't Kurt understand that be was trying to protect him.

"You won't what Blaine? There's nothing you can do, it's done, no one can change it."

"I said no!" Blaine yelled, his temper taking over. "I won't allow you to be in the same building as him without me there! I can't let him hurt you again!"

"Why are you yelling at me?" Kurt looked taken aback. He hasn't been expecting Blaine to lash out like that.

"Because you're not listening to me!"

"I am listening to you, you're just being unreasonable!" Kurt yelled back, his anger also flaring up. Blaine couldn't just expect him to stop going to school, that was ridiculous.

"Unreasonable? Kurt, he sexually harassed you! It's not safe!" Why wasn't Kurt understanding this?

"He didn't-"

"What'd you just say?" Burt had heard the yelling and was coming to check on them, he got to the room in time to hear Blaine say sexual harassment.

"Nothing Dad, just-"

"Tell him Kurt."

"Blaine-"

"Tell him or I will." Blaine figured if Kurt wouldn't listen to him, maybe he'd listen to his dad.

"Blaine, you don't understand, I can't-"

"I'm sorry Kurt, but I'm going to tell him if you don't." Blaine gave Kurt one last chance to tell Burt.

Kurt just stared at Blaine, trying to decide if Blaine would really do it, would he betray Kurt like that?

"Fine." Blaine sighed angrily and turned to Burt. "Mr. Hummel, your son has been getting bullied at school, and today, one of those bullies kissed Kurt without his permission."

"Blaine!" Kurt could kill him, he didn't think he'd actually do it.

"Is that true Kurt?" Burt needed to hear it from Kurt.

Kurt just nodded his head, there was no use in trying to hide it now.

"Why didn't you tell me kiddo? How long-"

"I didn't want to worry you Dad. You have enough on your plate as it is, you don't need to worry about me, I can handle myself."

"You're my son, it's my job to worry about you. Now, we're going to have to talk about this-"

"Not right now, please, I can't." Kurt could feel a headache coming on, all he wanted to do was lay down and pretend none of this had happened.

"Fine, not now, but soon." Burt looked from Kurt to Blaine. "I'll be downstairs watching the game, and Kurt?"

"Yes?"

"Don't be too angry with Blaine, he's just looking out for you." Burt gave Blaine a smile before walking out of the room, shutting the door behind him.

Kurt didn't speak, he just sat there and refused to acknowledge Blaine's presence in the room.

"Kurt, look, I know you're angry, but you have to understand-"

"Leave." Kurt's voice was so small, so quiet, that Blaine wasn't sure he'd actually spoken until Kurt looked up at him with sad, tired eyes and spoke a little louder. "I want you to leave."

"I-I- but-"

"Please, just go. I just want to be alone right now." Kurt sighed, laying down and turning his back to Blaine.

"Kurt, I-"

"Go Blaine. I don't- I don't want you here, just leave me alone." Kurt's tone was harsh, he just really wanted to be alone.

"I-I- okay. I'll call you tomorrow and-"

"Don't."

"Kurt." Blaine didn't know what to do, he couldn't lose Kurt, not now, he needed Kurt, Kurt needed him.

"I said leave!" Kurt yelled, how many times did he have to say it?

Blaine knew there was nothing he could do, so he left, closing the door quietly behind him. He walked right past Burt in the living room, he needed to get out of there before he did something really stupid. What did this mean? Was Kurt breaking up with him? No, he'd call Kurt tomorrow and they'd talk about it, only, Kurt said don't call. He'd messed up, royally and now, he needs to fix it before he loses Kurt for good.
