7 years later.
Kurt stood in front of the mirror, fixing his tie for the fifth time in three minutes, sighing when he heard Finn open the door and come inside.
"Hey little bro, how're you doing? Are you nervous?" Finn asked, taking Kurt's place in front of the mirror to fix his own tie.
"I'm more nervous now than I was sophomore year when I was on the football team and I had to kick the field goal, and I was extremely nervous then."
"You'll be fine, I should know, I've already done this."
"I know, I just-"
"Wait, you're not having second thoughts are you?"
"What? No, Finn, I'm not having second thoughts. Why would you even think that?"
"Sorry dude, I had to ask." Finn shrugged, walking over to the door, poking his head out. "I think it's time to start. You ready?"
Kurt took a deep breath before nodding his head, he was more than ready, he'd been waiting his entire life for this day, he was totally, 100% ready.
"Oh Kurt, you look so handsome!" Rachel said, giving him a hug, being very careful not to wrinkle his suit.
"Thanks Rach, you look beautiful." Kurt smiled, looking around the group of people. "Where's Blaine?"
"Right here." Blaine called as he walked down the hall towards Kurt. "You look- wow."
"So do you." Kurt said, taking Blaine's hand and squeezing it.
"Nervous?" Blaine asked, noticing how tight Kurt was squeezing his hand.
"Yeah. You?"
"Not really, I'm too excited and happy to be nervous."
"I'm afraid I'm going to forget my vows or I'm going to drop the ring when I go to put it on your finger. I've never been this nervous before. I want this to be perfect." Kurt sighed as the doors were opened, signalling the official start of the wedding.
"It will be perfect Kurt, no matter what happens, we're getting married and that's all that matters." Blaine turned to face Kurt, cupping his jaw.
"I love you so much."
"I love you too. Let's go get married." Blaine smiled, linking his arm with Kurt's and started down the aisle after Finn and Rachel. Nothing could ruin this day, not messed up vows or dropped rings, because all Blaine cares about is marrying Kurt, that's what's important.
------------------------------
After the wedding, everyone heads to the reception. Speeches and toasts are given, embarrassing stories about the grooms are told, drinks are passed around, and everyone dances. Kurt and Blaine mingle with their friends and family, never leaving each other's sides and never letting go of each other's hands. When asked about their honeymoon, Blaine tells everyone that it's a surprise which he's had planned for almost as long as they've been engaged. Kurt just smiles lovingly and kisses Blaine's cheek, knowing that whatever his husband has planned will be amazing, because it's Blaine.
Finn, Rachel, Carole, and Burt send the boys off to catch their flight, promising they'll clean everything up and keep an eye on their apartment while they're gone. Knowing there's no need to argue, Kurt and Blaine do as they're told, getting to the airport just in time to make their flight. Once settled, they take time to reflect on how wonderful the day had been.
"I didn't forget my vows." Kurt spoke up, a smile lighting up his face as he took Blaine's hand.
"And you didn't drop the ring either." Blaine teased.
"We're married." Kurt said in awe, almost like he couldn't believe it actually happened.
"We're married." Blaine repeated in a sure, happy tone. "You might want to try and get some sleep, we have another flight to catch once we land."
"So we're not going to Spain?"
"Nope, but that's all I'm saying, our final destination is still a surprise."
"Fine, fine, even though I hate surprises." Kurt sighed, resting his head against the window.
"You love surprises." Blaine said with a laugh, scooting as close as possible to Kurt and laying his head on Kurt's shoulder.
"No, I hate surprise. It's you I love." Kurt corrected with a yawn.
"I love you too, husband." Blaine whispered before closing his eyes, letting himself drift off.
Kurt smiled at the word 'husband', knowing he'd never tire of hearing it. He and Blaine had been through a lot, but now they were really ready to start their life together. Through thick and thin, through heaven and hell, they would always have each other.
