The boys spent the rest of the week going back and forth from the Anderson home to the Hummel-Hudson hom. Both Kurt and Blaine enjoyed spending time with their families like this.
Come Saturday, they had to say goodbye to Cooper. They were currently fighting their way through the airport to see him off.
"This crowd is ridiculous!" Kurt yelled as they pushed their way towards security.
"It'll be worse on Monday when we leave." Blaine said.
"Aww come on, it's not that bad. You two live in New York, I'm sure you're use to crowds like this." Cooper was smiling, completely unphased by the crowd.
"Crowds yes, this many in one small place no. Finally!" Kurt let out a sigh of relief when he spotted the line for security.
"Alright Coop, this is where we leave you." Blaine announced, suddenly feeling sad that he had to say goodbye to his brother.
"Okay little brother. Be sure to call me when you get ready to start planning the wedding, I'm your best man, I need in on all that."
"We will, don't worry." Blaine was slightly worried as to what would happen when Cooper got involved in the planning.
"Well Blainey, I'll see you soon. It was great to spend all that time with you. I love you kid." Cooper pulled Blaine into a hug.
"I love you too big bro. I'm glad we got to spend Chrismas together."
"Yeah, me too." Cooper pulled away and turned to Kurt. "You take care of him okay?"
"I will Cooper always."
"Good, now come here future brother-in-law and give me a hug."
Kurt laughed and hugged Cooper, thinking he couldn't ask for a better brother-in-law.
"Alright, I gotta go before I miss my flight." Cooper turned away from them and got in the security line.
Blaine and Kurt stood there until Cooper was out of sight before making the journey back through the crowd. Neither of them spoke until they got back to the car.
"So, while we're out, there's something I want to do, unless you have other plans." Blaine said, starting the car.
"I don't have plans, so whatever you need to do."
"Good." Blaine smiled. He pulled out of the parking lot and got on the highway towards Westerville.
"Blaine, what are we doing here?" Kurt asked when they pulled up to Dalton Academy.
"Well I called David to see if we could meet up and talk about having the old Warblers sing at the wedding and his mom said that there was a big party here last night and that the graduates were invited." Blaine got out of the car and walked hand in hand with Kurt towards the dorms.
"Do they even know we're coming?"
"Nope, I don't think they even know we're in town. It's a surprise." Blaine winked as they walked the familiar path towards the Warbler wing.
Blaine knocked on the first door that belonged to the Warblers and waited for someone to answer.
"Blaine, Kurt! Oh my- guys, wake up! Kurt and Blaine are here! Holy shit man!" David pulled them into the room proceeded hug them until they couldn't breathe.
"What are you guys doing here man? We thought you were in New York." Jeff asked.
"We do live in New York, but we came home for the holidays."
"We actually have something to tell you." Kurt nudged Blaine's arm with a smile.
"Dude, don't tell me, you're getting married. Am I right?" Nick asked.
"Well uh, yes actually. We're engaged." Blaine laughed. He should have known his friends would have figured it out.
"No way! Congrats guys!" David smiled brightly at them.
"When's the wedding?" Jeff questioned.
"We don't have an exact date yet. We're waiting until the new year to start planning. Right now, we're just enjoying being engaged."
"Who's engaged?" Sebastian asked as he entered the room with Trent right behind him.
"Blaine and Kurt dude! They stopped by to see us." Nick answered.
"Say it ain't so." Sebastian pretended to be shocked. "No, really guys, congrats." He smiled and hugged them both.
"So Kurt..." The boys pulled Kurt away to talk weddings, knowing him well enough to know he'd be planning it.
"So, marriage." Sebastian said to Blaine, seeing the other boys had Kurt distracted.
"Yeah, we're really happy. Everything seems to be working out now that we're living together."
"That's great Blaine. I'm really happy for you guys. I'm glad to see you're happy."
"Thanks Seb. You know, I'm really thankful for everything you did for me last year. I honestly don't know how I would've made it without you." Blaine said, remembering running away from Kurt, to Dalton, and Sebastian helping him.
"Hey, all I want is for you to be happy Blaine, and you seem really happy. New York has done you good."
Blaine just laughed, brushing off the compliment. "So, Kurt and I actually came by for more than just to tell you guys about the engagement. We want to ask you guys a favor."
"Sure Blaine, anything."
"We want you guys to sing at our wedding reception."
"Hey guys, Blaine wants us to sing at their reception. What do you think?" Sebastian addressed the rest of the group.
"That could be arranged... for a price." David had a scheming look on his face.
"What do you mean by 'a price'?" Blaine asked warily.
"You give us a full rein to embarrass you two, and you have to join us for some songs."
"David-"
"Deal." Kurt interrupted, a wicked grin on his face,
"Alright then. Warblers, let's get to working on a set list. Kurt, Blaine, if you could just leave, we want it to be a surprise." David ushered them out the door, shutting and locking it.
"Kurt, do you even understand what you just agreed to?"
"Shh, don't worry about it, everything will be fine."
"I don't like this, I don't like this at all. You and David have a way of letting your pranks get out of control."
"Don't worry sweetie, it will be fine." Kurt said, pulling Blaine down the hall and making for the enterance for the school.
"What are you-" Blaine stopped when the grand staircase came into view.
"Did you really think I would come to Dalon without stopping here? This is, and always will be, our spot. I wanted to see it again because who knows when we'll be back to Ohio again." Kurt walked up a few steps to 'his' step, taking in a deep breath as he let himself remember everything that happened here. When he opened his eyes, Blaine was standing there, looking at him like he was the only person in the world.
"This is where it wall began, so many memories." Blaine took Kurt's hands in his.
"Some good, some bad, but they all made us who we are today and I wouldn't have it any other way."
"Me either." Blaine leaned in, hesitating before whispering, "I love you Kurt Elizabeth Hummel."
"And I love you Blaine Devon Anderson." Kurt whispered and closed the gap between them, kissing Blaine slow and sweet.
Blaine was the one to pull back first, resting his forehead against Kurt's. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of kissing you."
"Good, because I really like kissing you and it would be a shame if you got tired of it." Kurt joked
"The feeling is definitely mutual honey."
"They stood there, just holding each other, for a few more minutes before Kurt pulled away and led Blaine towards the exit. Dalton Academy would always hold a soft spot in their hearts. It was the place were they found each other when they needed each other most, the memories they have from Dalton will be something they carry with them for the rest of their lives.
