Kurt and Rachel arrived at the Hummel-Hudson home around 7:30 that night. They had a hard time explainging why they were there wuthout actually telling the truth.
"Look Kiddo, I'm not complaining, I'm just saying you could have given us a warning." Burt said as he watched Kurt pace the floor. He could tell there was something bothering him, he kept looking from his phone to the clock to Rachel. He also knew that whatever was bothering these kids was the reason they were back in town so suddenly.
"I know Dad I'm sorry, it was just a last minute dicision." Kurt was tired and starting to worry, he had called Sam as soon as the plane landed. Now he was suppose to just wait until Sam called him to tell him where to meet.
"Burt sweetie, why don't we let them rest up a little bit, they look exhausted." Carole spoke up. Kurt gave her a look of pure relief, she just smiled softly at him.
"Yeah, fine." Burt grumbled as Carole dragged him towards the kitchen.
Once they were gone Kurt let out a sigh which was mixture of relief and frustration.
"Don't worry Kurt, he'll call." Rachel said making Kurt sit down so she could rub his back soothingly. He was stressed and Rachel knew he'd break eventually.
"I know Rach, but that was almost an hour ago that he said that, what if something happened? What if-" Rachel intrrupted.
"Stop that, he would have called, just give him time, and please relax." Rachel sighed.
They waited for another thirty minutes before Kurt's phone lit up with a text from Tina.
"Come to the auditorium?" Rachel asked, reading the text over Kurt's shoulder.
"Yeah, and it's from Tina. What in the world is going on?" Kurt asked as he grabbed his jacket and car keys.
"Where are you going?" Burt asked, it was 9:00 p.m. where on Earth did they have to be?
"To the school, some of the Glee kids are there working on the musical, they found out we were here and asked us to come visit." Kurt lied, he couldn't tell his dad the truth, not yet at least.
"Do you really think that's a good idea Kurt, what if Blai-"
"Stop right there. We're both mature, civilized people. Let's go Rachel." Kurt hated the tone he'd just used with his dad, he hated it even more when he saw the look on his father's face, but he didn't have time to play twenty questions with his dad, he had to get to the school.
"We'll be back soon Mr. Hummel." Rachel said giving Burt a look that told him everything. He just nodded and let them leave.
Burt watched them pull out of the driveway, he turned the porch light on and went to his and Carole's room. He knew they'd be out for most of the night, the look in Rachel's eyes told him this little meeting had nothing to do with a musical and everything to do with Blaine. His heart ached for Blaine, he was a good kid and he knew something was seriously wrong since Kurt dropped everything to come back and see him after everything that had happened between them.

As Kurt and Rachel pulled into the parking lot, they noticed the cars of almost every member of the New Directions. Kurt let out a shaky breath when he noticed Blaine's car in the mix.
"Just breathe and stay strong, you can do this." Rachel said trying to comfort Kurt.
"Text Sam, tell him we're in the parking lot and ask him where he wants us to go." Kurt said trying to regain his composure before he went inside to the unknown.
They got an answer almost immediately.
"The entrance from inside the school." Rachel read as they got out of the car.
"That really narrows it down." Kurt said sarcastically.
"I think he means the main entrance from inside."
"Why though, that's the long way around, why can't we just go from out here?" Kurt wondered out loud.
"I don't know, but Sam has something planned, I can feel it. Come on, lets get inside, it's cold." Rachel said, looping her arm with Kurt's she just knew that the Glee Club was up to something.
