»I love you.« Blaine smiled at the taller boy next to him. Kurt's eyes were wide open in surprise for a moment, but then a smile lit up his whole face. A smile that was as bright and happy as never before.
»I love you, too.« Kurt answered without breathing, knowing this was the most perfect moment in his life!
He couldn´t help but pet the dark brown curls he loved so much about the other boy. He loved everything about Blaine, so he meant the words he had just said. And the only thing he hoped was that Blaine was also totally honest, but he believed it.
He believed it because of the smile he could see on Blaine's face. The smile that was just on his face when Kurt was there. HIS smile, as he secretly loved to call it.
He believed it because of the emotions he heard in the words.
He believed it because of the moments they had, the memories they shared and always will share.
They smiled at each other without saying anything. Just sitting and smiling; those were the only things they needed. There were no words needed to tell the other what was going on in their minds. The looks said it all. They were totally happy with each other and knew it.
They knew that being in love really is the strongest feeling in the world, and -- in their opinion -- the best, as well.
Blaine grabbed the other boy's hand and wished he would never have to let Kurt go. He wanted this boy to stay by his side forever. He wanted them to share their life forever. Even though he was so young, he knew Kurt was the one.
He knew what he wanted and it was Kurt, no one else. And he knew that this had been the perfect time to admit to Kurt that he was in love with him and that nothing would ever be able to change that! And he was so happy when he said he was in love with Blaine, too.
Blaine just admitted to himself that he was at least a little bit afraid of telling Kurt. He could never be sure how Kurt would react. But at least he loves him back, and everyone was happy.
In the same moment both boys decided to move closer to the other boy, just to get a little kiss.
They kept smiling at each other when their lips met and they shared a soft, sweet kiss.
And you could just see, and nearly grab, the chemistry between this boys. The love. The sparks flying that were about to explore.
Well, that was ten years ago and everything has changed now.
Kurt and Blaine weren´t a couple anymore, they didn't keep in touch. They haven´t seen each other for about six years, never wrote letters or anything. If they would see each other in the mall or on the street it wasn´t clear what would happen. If they´d recognize each other and started talking, or just simply look at the other's face and then continue to live their lives. Living life without their first love -- which should've lasted forever.
Kurt did not know anything about Blaine's life now. It wasn´t like Kurt never thought of Blaine. He did! Mostly when he laid on his bed all alone, by himself. Then the thoughts came back, about his first love, the memories of the feelings.
Sometimes he even wondered what Blaine's life was like, how Blaine looked now, how much he had changed in the last six years.
But he never had the will and/or courage to find out, to search for Blaine, who had to be somewhere out there in this world. He was just too busy with his own life, everything has gone totally wrong.
After school he went to New York, wanting his dream of being a professional in the music industry to become real, which everyone knew. Yes, Kurt Hummel really wanted to be a star. But then he found out that the music business was a lot harder than he had thought. That his talent wasn´t all that mattered.
That a blond, skinny, gorgeous, smiling girl, who could sing well had better chances to get a record contract than him -- a gay boy, with the sex appeal of a baby penguin, who could sing with a soft and strong voice, which could take the one who is listening to another world. Let them forget everything that matters.
Yes, Kurt did know what talent he had, but it was so frustrating for him that nobody really seems to be interested in that. Or in him.
Blaine on the other hand had gotten everything he could´ve ever asked for and more. He was successful. Started his own business about four years ago, and it was already a big hit. The advertising agency, which has started out just small, with only him and his assistant Quinn Fabrey, has grown quickly, and was now the most popular and one of the most demanded advertising agency´s in the United States of America.
That made Blaine a sought-after man. He had an interview almost every week. He was a very busy man, he didn´t had much free time, likely none at all. And if he has some, he just relaxed on the couch. Pulled out his old guitar and started to play a couple of songs, stuck in his memories about high school. How much fun it had been to perform on stage, having everybody listening to him, following his moves... And he had been really great, everybody had told him that, over and over.
But his parents had forced him into going to college and study web design. But in the end, he was thankful. He had made it. He was someone. People knew his name and on top of all that, he got a lot of money for the work he actually enjoyed doing.
Of course there were parts of his work and live he didn't like. For example the fact, that he was married. Married to a woman, and that´s even if he knew for sure he was gay! But there were still so many people out there, who wouldn´t accept him for who he was. And he had talked it all through with his assistant Quinn, who was his PR-agent, and they weren´t able to find another way for Blaine to stay this successful if he would come out.
And so he had a fake marriage to a woman, whom he liked, but would never love. She knew that he was gay, she was one of the small number of people, who he had come out to. There was Quinn, his parents, who were not supportive but understanding over time, his best friend Alex, who was also gay and sometimes took him to gay bars to relax, even if they had to go undercover. Of course much of his high school friends and classmates, knew because he had been really open and relaxed about his sexuality back then.
His wife´s name is Ashley, Ashley Anderson. She was a very good looking girl, even Blaine had to admit that, and all his work-partners told him also. But for Blaine, she was just fun to be around, even if he use to tell her, if he´d be straight he´d totally fall in love with her. But he
wasn´t he was gay, and that didn't seem to bother Ashley, she was a very close friend of Blaine’s, his closest actually. They met in college, just at the beginning and were stuck together since then.
In college Blaine hadn´t been that open about his sexuality, because he had realized how different, difficult and dangerous live as a gay man out there could be. And he couldn´t stand it, so he hide it. But at this one party, where a lot of alcohol had been involved, Ashley tried to make out with him, and Blaine finally admitted it to her. Told her he was gay, but made her promise she wouldn´t tell anyone.
From that moment on, they were even closer and when Blaine decided with Quinn, that he should have a fake girlfriend, it wasn´t difficult for him to choose. The only thing that surprised him was how quickly Ashley had agreed to this deal. Because she didn't get that much out of it. But he was just happy about it, so why should he complain?
All in all, Blaine was quite happy how his live went, even though he was living a lie.
This is really good!! Can't wait to see want happenes! Poor Kurt :(
Wow to be honest I wasn´t expecting any reviews. At least not that fast. So thank you very much. I´ll try to update as soon as possible ;)
