Author's Notes: Okay warnings for mentions of cheating and (sadface) abuse.I already apologize for this one, you guys are gonna hate me, but it's necessary for the plot line.By the way thank you all for the great reviews it all means so much.

“San, love, come back here. It’s okay. Everything’s going to be okay.” Kurt said comfortingly when he saw Santana at the end of the hallway, sitting against the wall her knees brought to her chest as she covered her crying eyes.

It wasn’t often that you’d find Santana Lopez crying, she was too stubborn to let others see her break. Yeah Finn had dubbed her “weepy girl drunk” but that was only so when she was really really smashed. She always bottled up her issues, covering her fears and pain with snips of bitchy comments rather than a waterworks show. So Kurt immediately knew this was big, she hadn’t cried like this since she found out she was pregnant with Candie and her parents kicked her out.

Anyone with eyes could see what Brittany meant to Santana, they’d dated since high school and shared an unbreakable love.

But like always, even the strongest glass can shatter. Kurt knew his best friend was going to need more than enough consoling. And if there was one way the two of them knew to cheer the other up, it was to get absolutely rip roaring drunk and hit the town.

“It’s not okay though.” Santana cried and Kurt sat down next to her and just let her. He wrapped his arm around her waist, rested her head on his shoulder and let her fall apart, being there ready to pick her back up.

“How long do you think it’s been going on?” Santana asked.

“I don’t know San.” Kurt replied and Santana elbowed him.

“Tell me the truth. Have I been blind? Should I have seen this coming? All I know is that I loved her and I thought she loved me. Could I have been wrong?” Santana asked seriously.

“Love.” Kurt said softly.

“What?” Santana asked.

“You said loved. As in past tense. I think you mean love. Trust me San, I know you. And Brittany is it for you. You love her with all your heart, she’s a part of this family and I know she’s a permanent fixture. And because I know you, I know that you know Brittany is, well, special. I’m pretty sure you’re the one that taught her the ‘different plumbing’ logical reasoning. If anyone be mad at this dancer guy for taking advantage of Brittany’s specialness. I just think you should cool down, and then you can sit down and talk with her. Really talk with her, let her know what she means to you. Make sure she reciprocates. And I’m positive she will. So maybe we can cool off tonight, I’ll even take you out if you can’t be in the house right now. I can go back in their tell Blaine what’s going on, grab our coats, and we can spend the whole day doing whatever you want to get your mind off the situation. Just know that I’m here for you.” Kurt said pressing a kiss to Santana’s temple.

“I think you’re right. Damn. I hate when you’re right.” Santana said with a laugh. The corner of her lips perking up into a smile against her will.

“Well get used to it because I’m always right.” Kurt teased.

“Thanks.” Santana said simply. She didn’t have to say anything more, Kurt understood. He’d always understand.

“Why don’t you wait here, I’ll go grab our jackets and tell Rachel to look after Candie.” Kurt said hugging Santana tightly before standing up and walking off.

“I’ll come with you.” Santana said joining him. “I’m still in my pajamas.” Santana laughed.

“You sure you don’t want me to bring some clothes out for you?” Kurt asked.

“No thanks. I’ve seen the way you dress.” Santana teased and linked arms with Kurt as they approached the doorway.

“Okay, they’re all in the kitchen. Go get dressed and meet me in the hall.” Kurt smiled and Santana went into the bathroom to freshen up and find some clothes.

“Hey guys.” Kurt smiled as he walked into the kitchen.

“Is she okay?” Finn asked concerned.

“She’ll be fine. I’m just going to take her out for the day though. Can you and Rachel watch Candie?” Kurt asked and Finn nodded.

“Sounds like a good idea. Yeah we’ll watch her.” He said with a smile, Rachel nodding in agreement.

“Hey do you know where Blaine went?” Kurt asked noticing his love missing from the room.

“Yeah, he’s in my bedroom, he had an important phone call right after you left.” Rachel explained.

“Oh, okay.” Kurt replied and walked out into the living room, standing outside the door just about to knock when Blaine called him in.

“Hey Kurt? Is that you? Can you come in here?” Blaine said his voice sounding smaller than ever before.

“Hey babe, what’s wrong?” Kurt asked noticing a far off gleam in Blaine’s eyes.

“I just got off the phone with my boss, the principal of Candie’s school.” Blaine frowned.

“What happened? Did you get another raise?” Kurt asked happy for his boyfriend.

“No, not even close.” Blaine frowned and Kurt became worried.

“I can’t date you. Not if I wanna keep my job.” Blaine frowned.

“What are you talking about?” Kurt asked worried.

“It’s illegal. What we’re doing. And I’m going to lose my job for it. I love you Kurt, but I can’t lose my job.” Blaine frowned.

“So we’re just going to break up? Why couldn’t we just date in secret?” Kurt asked trying to reason with him.

“We have to break up. I know it’s not fair but we have to. And no we couldn’t just date in secret; it’s not that easy Kurt. What aren’t you understanding; I’m going to lose my job if we keep this up!” Blaine said starting to lose his temper.

“Keep this up? You mean our relationship? And stop talking to me like I’m stupid. I do understand. I’m just trying to help. I love you and I don’t want to lose you.” Kurt frowned.

“Well just change Candie’s school.” Blaine suggested.

“I can’t just uproot her. Plus this is the only public school within walking distance.” Kurt said sadly.

“Why not? Do you not want us to work?” Blaine asked.

“Sorry I can’t afford a better school for my kid!” Kurt yelled getting a little more than upset.

“Is that a dig at the school I teach at? Stop being so immature Kurt. Oh right I forgot you can’t because you’re still a kid yourself.” Blaine yelled.

“Stop getting angry. And stop shouting. It’s all going to be okay. We’ll figure it out.” Kurt said placing a hand on Blaine’s shoulder to comfort him.

“How? Stop being selfish Kurt, I need this job. I don’t want to end up poor living in some crappy apartment in a bad neighborhood living from paycheck to paycheck.” Blaine explained.

“Wow. Thanks for describing my life, dick.” Kurt frowned.

“Dammit Kurt! Would you stop being such a child and listen to reason?” Blaine yelled loudly his open palm slapping the side of Kurt’s face with such power Kurt was almost knocked over with the force.

“Kurt I’m sorry.” Blaine said moving quickly to comfort the love of his life, knowing he’d really fucked up.

Kurt immediately flinched, moving away from Blaine’s touch and backing into the wall.

“I’m sorry Kurt. I didn’t mean to. I just lost it. I’m so sorry.” Blaine said tears filling his eyes, but Kurt remained silent.

“Kurt, please, I’m sorry. I love you, and I have no idea what came over me. I’m just so worried about losing my job; I’m even more worried about losing you. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I just totally oblitorated every chance I’ll ever have of being with you. Dammit, today started out perfect and I fucked it up. I’m so sorry Kurt. I’m sorry. I’m not abusive; I’ve never even been in a fight. I’m not a violent person; I don’t know what came over me. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I love you and I’m just so sorry. I’m sorry.” Blaine cried.

“I, um, I’m going to go now. I wanna talk when I get back though. So, um, should I like call you or something? Santana needs me, and I’m just going to go now.” Kurt said quietly, pressing a kiss to Blaine’s forehead and tousling his lose curls.

“I’m sorry Kurt.” Blaine cried. “I’ll be at my place, please call me. I need you in my life. I’m just so sorry.” Blaine frowned.

“I know you’re sorry. Just, I don’t know, I’ll call you.” Kurt said backing out of the room leaving Blaine all by himself.

“Shit. What have I done?” Blaine asked himself, the guilt hanging over him.

End Notes: TBC.Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry.

WHAT IS GOING ON?!!?!WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY*Sobs*

Awwwh I'm sorry :( they'll get better though so cheer up! Thanks for reading!

I know people are going to hate me right now, but I don't think Blaine and Kurt should get back together.I was abuse by my bf. 3 years in till I left his sorry ass behind.I kinda want them to geet back, but you have to understand that it wasn't just yelling, it was abuse.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I was abused by my ex as well. Up until the cheating scandal on Glee, Kurt and Blaine were my favorite couple because they were so stable. They weren't volatile like most of the Glee relationships, they were good together. Which is why writing the abusive part bothered me. Blaine has some bottled up rage he'll be working through so it was pretty important. But if I was writing this as not a klaine fic I wouldn't have them get back together. I'm definitely going to touch on the whole abuse topic, unlike Glee's lack of continuity in Beiste's story line. I hope you're okay now, I hope the bastard that abused you knows what he's missing. You're perfect and I hope you're doing well. Thank you for reading my story.
