Blaine introduced the group to Wes and David and after exchanging greetings they all headed down to the main entrance where people were being assigned cabins and groups were assigned trainers.
The campers were introduced to all the camp counselors and assignments where handed out.
“Well Blaine, looks like you’re stuck with us.” Kurt laughed as the women in charged paired the four of them with Blaine, David and Wes as their counselors.
“Yay we get Blaine!” Rachel smiled.
“Looks like we’ll all be getting to know each other pretty well.” Blaine smiled, but more so just to Kurt.
“Sounds good to me.” Kurt blushed.
“I’m still confused as to why you guys are here?” Wes laughed. “Not to be rude but if you look around everyone is well on their way to morbidly obese, and well you guys aren’t.” Wes laughed.
Kurt smiled at the complement? Was it a compliment? Oh well he was practically calling them skinny, that was something he always wanted to here. All he ever needed someone to say.
“Yeah it was Kurt’s idea.” Finn elbowed him in the side.
“Why? You’re so skinny! You don’t need to be here.” Blaine laughed.
“You think I’m skinny?” Kurt asked his smile reaching his eyes.
“Yeah.” Blaine said awkwardly, was this guy kidding? He was perfect.
“I thought it’d be fun. Losing weight wasn’t a real issue of mine; I just wanna get in shape for football.” Finn shrugged.
“I do wanna drop a few pounds.” Mercedes smiled softly.
“Me too.” Kurt said excitedly.
“My two best friends and boyfriend are here.” Rachel shrugged.
“They all sound like good reasons.” Blaine smiled laughing at Rachel.
“What made you guys wanna be counselors?” Mercedes asked politely.
“Service hours.” Wes grinned.
“You guys need service hours? What school do you go to?” Finn laughed.
“We’re all seniors at Dalton Academy.” Wes smiled.
“Dalton? That’s the school with the zero-tolerance anti-bullying thing!” Kurt smiled brightly.
“Yeah it’s pretty nice. Makes me feel safe.” Blaine smiled.
“That sounds so nice. I wanted to look into it, but it was too expensive.” Kurt shrugged.
“Boo why would you leave McKinley?” Mercedes asked hurt that her best friend had considered leaving and not even telling her.
“They hate me ‘Cedes.” Kurt frowned.
“Why do they hate you?” Wes asked confused.
“I’m gay.” Kurt frowned.
“And?” David asked.
“Why would they hate you just for being gay? It’s who you are. You should neither have to hide that or be treated any differently. I just met you, but you seem like a lovely person. I’m sorry you have to deal with ignorant assholes.” Wes said sadly.
“What school did you say you went to?” Blaine asked.
“McKinley. It’s in Lima, Ohio.” Rachel announced.
“Oh I know that school! I think our glee club is competing against yours this year.” David smiled. The school year was yet to start but being head of the warbler council had its perks.
“Are you guys in the Warblers?!?” Rachel asked excitedly.
“Yup. Blaine, here, is even the lead singer.” David smiled.
“No way! I’m the lead singer of the New Directions. My boyfriend, Finn, and I sing every single moving ballad together and everyone loves us.” Rachel smiled.
“Cough. Cough.” Kurt frowned.
“Kurt and Mercedes are in it too. But typically the just harmonize in the background behind me.” Rachel smiled.
“Bitch.” Mercedes laughed.
“This year ‘Cedes and I are going to have all the solos.” Kurt smiled lightly pushing Rachel.
“Whatever you say.” Rachel sang.
“The talent show at the end of the weeks going to be fun.” David smiled.
“It’ll give you a taste of what the New Directions are made of.” Mercedes teasingly threatened.
“Bring it!” Wes yelled.
The group broke out into a fit of laughter, when they finally stopped they decided it was time they head back to their cabins and get ready for the first day of camp.
“These outfits are horrendous.” Blaine laughed as he changed into his trainer’s getup.
“It’s just wrong.” David laughed as he stood in front of the mirror examining his neon orange shirt that read ‘CAMP COUNSELOR’ and his navy spandex material shorts.
“At least you have a shirt.” Kurt groaned stepping in front of the mirror in just the standard issue black athletic shorts.
Oh my God, Kurt’s body. He was beautiful. Blaine starred at his broad shoulders and muscular chest and arms, his eyes raked down the boy’s body taking in every detail. He’s toned stomach, which was a bit hollowed in, revealing his rib cage and hip bones jutting out further than normal. He was really skinny, but Blaine didn’t focus on that. His eyes glued to the V left by his hip bones that lead down past where his shorts covered. Okay bad thoughts. You shouldn’t be thinking about what’s under those shots. He scolded himself. Even if they are rather snug and show off his ass perfectly.
He was brought out of his day dream and back into the conversation as he listened to Wes speaking.
“Yeah you’ll get your camp shirt later. This is just what you wear to weigh-ins. This way you have as fewer articles of clothing on as possible to be weighed in.” Wes spoke logically.
“Makes sense. Still makes one feel self-conscious, but I understand.” Kurt sighed wrapping his arms around his torso as if to hide himself from their sight.
“Ugh like you have anything to be self-conscious about. Santana was right I have to lay off the sloppy Joes.” Finn frowned pulling at his stomach.
“Says the boy who walked the halls in his underwear last year.” Kurt teased.
“What?” Wes laughed.
“It was to boost confidence.” Finn shrugged.
“And how did it work?” David laughed.
“I think I almost got suspended or something.” Finn chuckled.
Everyone laughed until there was a loud knock on the door of the cabin.
“Answer it. You know its Rachel.” Kurt laughed.
“Finn Hudson! Answer the door!” Rachel yelled.
“Hey Rach.” Finn said as he opened the cabin door letting Rachel and Mercedes in.
“Ugghh I haven’t been so underdressed in public since that time I sang Britney Spears and tried dressing all sexy.” Rachel complained playing with the straps of her sports bra.
“That was hot.” Finn laughed.
“What is your school? Do they allow all this nudity?” David laughed.
“Yeah guys we need to switch schools.” Wes smiled nudging Blaine.
Blaine just smiled and looked at where Kurt and Mercedes stood.
“Oh don’t look at us. I don’t recall doing something as embarrassing as that.” Kurt laughed.
“Kurt, we were on the cheerios. It doesn’t get worse than that.” Mercedes laughed hugging the skinny boy.
“YOU WERE A CHEERLEADER?!?!?” David exclaimed nearly choking on air.
“Yeah I was.” Kurt laughed fondly. “Don’t judge.” He smiled.
“You’re not a complete stereotype. Remember when you were on the football team?” Finn nudged him.
“Yeah, I asked you to help me try out and you thought I was asking you to prom. Fun times.” Kurt nudged him back.
“Hey you liked me.” Finn teased.
“Ew don’t remind me. What I saw in you I’ll never know. Living with you has taught me you’re disgusting.” Kurt laughed.
“You guys live together?” David asked.
“Yeah, we’re step-brothers.” Finn laughed.
“Oh my God, I bet you guys are like the movie!” Wes exclaimed.
“Hmm, maybe a little bit. I can see the resemblance.” Kurt laughed.
“Yeah cause at first you guys resented each other and now you’re bff’s!” Rachel chimed in excitedly.
“And Kurt’s not allowed to touch my drum set.” Finn laughed. “That’s like the best movie ever.” Finn smiled.
“You guys are crazy.” Wes laughed.
“Yeah but by the end of the week you’ll all love us.” Kurt smiled.
I know I will. Blaine thought to himself.
